Cover the top with saran wrap or something else and it will cook a lot faster. Cooking eggs in the microwave is all about steam.

I tried this without ham and peppers, just put loads of cheese in. I was eating it drving to work!!!

I did get a few funny looks at traffic lights when I was putting a fork in my cup which was in a cup holder.

It calls for extra concentration, but what a great idea.

@urbex2007 Other than my Nutella Cake in a Mug, this is one of the best things ever. Seriously. I make these often. I also make the bacon/egg/cheese muffins a lot too. Nice and compact and ready to eat on the run.

LOL! I saw those paws creeping up into the bottom of the frame. Saying no is not in the program. Cosmic will often just sit there, all perfectly posed and prim and proper, looking up at me with those big gold eyes, and waiting. And waiting. And staring. And he KNOWS I'll eventually fold. I don't think I've ever nuked an omelette. Might have to do this for grins. Doesn't it stick all over the inside of the cup?

You spray the inside of the cup with Pam so it shouldn't stick. It's a fun little thing that makes kids think they are totally cooking ;)

So how did you like the omelet in the cup? I've made them before and they are OK in a pinch and in a hurry, but no way compares to on the stove! :)) I loved that you put ketchup on it! haha

OMG! how did you keep from eating that child for dessert?? Too sweet and so cute. I have a beggar in my galley too. Bubby would come running when he heard the electric can opener. Now that we have pull tabs, he flies into the kitchen when anything is popped open. And do not open a deli rotisserie chicken if he is within 1 sq mile ! he yowls until we give in He will be 13 Thursday (Cinco de Mayo) and still acts like a kitten.

Oh Nohea, too sweet. I got so confused for a minute there, I thought you had named your new baby Nohea also but then baby Bain made everything make sense. I know exactly what Bain is saying,"Hi Youtube." He is precious!!! I love the eggs in the microwave. I dont do mine in a cup, I use a regular sized bowl, sort of like a Tupperware bowl. Do everything you do and when its done, its the perfect size for a piece of bread, for a sandwich. ;-)

this is one of the first things my mom taught me to 'cook'

it was a healthy snack that i could make that did not cause much of a mess and she did not have to 'nanny' over me.

i still make this for orion on our mornings that are behind on time and he makes it for an afternoon snack

we do not use the microwave much but some times it is a god send fo sho

we got one way early, my grandfather worked for an electronics company so we got all the cool stuff first. looking back at pictures of us all in the kitchen it is funny to see how massive the microwave was. same with the vcr granpa got for us, it weighed close to a ton :)
