No xemutv, youre some incedulously ugly person that craves attention. After reading your comments here, your profile page, there's no real doubt youre just an attention whore. You spend far too much time on the interbuttz. Considering with your latest effort/profile, youve watched over 5000 clips since March 28?
Do you wash yourself with a rag on a stick, fatty?
Xemutv, that's an old scientology dodge, but ok, for the sake of arguement let's look at it further. Are you saying that scientology is just another scam passing itself off as a faith, like Christianity and Islam?
The Crusades and Suicide Bombers not with standing? Your point is well take though. Religions tend to exist along a continuum, with some being more severe than others and also changing across time (the Muslims of Granada are not the Muslims of modern Iran or Iraq...) Scientology, however, started severe and has stayed consistent, changing only its public face as it needs to.
lgilsig I find the study of cults fascinating and I would like to think of myself as an expert in that field. Can you honestly say that the Branch davidians and the solaris are similar only to scientology?A cult is confined to one place with one leader.Scientiology is practiced worldwide.
Scientology is alot more powerful and organised than those cults you named.
"A cult is a group or movement exhibiting a great or excessive devotion or dedication to some person, idea, or thing and employing unethically manipulative techniques of persuasion and control (e.g., isolation from former friends and family, debilitation, use of special methods to heighten suggestibility and subservience, powerful group pressures, information management, suspension of individuality or critical judgment, promotion of total dependency on the group and fear of leaving it, etc.)...
"...designed to advance the goals of the group's leaders to the actual or possible detriment of members, their families, or the community." (West & Langone, 1986)
I have studied new religious movements and cults extensively at university. The above definition is pretty much spot on. It has nothing to do with size in this context, it is about personal freedom and the amount of control exerted on individuals within the group.
I am not going to give names. You should know the people that are throwing their weight around in the sea org.I am a ex member of the church.A freezoner.Scientology does have churches but Scientology is also a movement. The goal is to clear the planet and we are very sincere about doing this. You may look at these camps as slave camps but working and planning are good for mental and physical health.
Interesting - can i ask why you choose to be a Freezoner and not a member of the Church of Scientology? Do you have anything against the CoS?
Again, these protests are much more about the Church of Scientology than Scientology as a 'movement'...so you shouldn't feel so threatened, there are many freezoners protesting as well you know!
xemutv, you are obviously not a keen fan of history. Cults implode all the time, Branch Dividians, Solaris, that one in Japan, that bunch that killed them selves waiting for the "mother ship." Scientology is just a bit bigger and a bit richer. While I am sure individual scientologists have noble goals, there organizations tactics are abominable. Those tactics are what people will remember...
Just to point out, but the Branch Davidians, and the Aum group are still both active (the Aum group schismed recently actually). Groups based around belief hardly ever become 'extinct'...but they can certainly lose most of their power and influence, which is what will happen to Scientology in the near future.
The teachings of L Ron Hubbard will be look upon by a few as the Way for a very long time to come...but it's the abuses of the organisation that need to be rectified.
And yes, believe it or not, even Heaven's Gate still has some members floating about...you can probably count them on your own hands, but they're there.
The protests, from what i can gather, are about people being abused and conned. Anonymous is just trying to let people know what they are getting themselves into so that they aren't tricked into it and then suffer accordingly.
You are of course correct. There will always be a few die-hards to carry on a cult's name, if not its beliefs. Back in the mid 1990's I lived across the street from a Branch Davidian owned home in La Verne, CA. They never had lights on at night, and their kids never played outside. Very creepy.
Scientology is neither a religion nor a movement. Scientology is a handful of plagiarized ideas wrapped in bad science fiction hiding under a tax shelter. It would make more sense to base a religion on Frodo and the Ring than Hubbard and his galactic DC-8'S. That people allow themselves to be herded into "camps" in the name of health is an abomination. All Scientology is missing is the Cool-Aide.
Its not the fact that we cant stand people making fun of scientology.Thats harmless. But when you speak of destroying scientology then that is bound to piss people off.
The RPF force is usually for sea org members.Hardcore scientologists who live eat and breath scientology.Everyone knows about the RPF so when a member joins the sea org he knows what he is getting himself into.I think the problem is certain people abuse positions and send people to the RPF for petty reasons.
But that wont work.Unknown to you the church has had enemies since day 1.South Park aired a episode claiming that we really believe in the xenu story. This does nothing to destroy the church.People insult christianity and islam all the time.If thats your goal then you will fail. Not everyone follows Anonymous like sheep.
It's not about your beliefs. It's about the people trapped in the RPF, or the SP hall. That is what the media, such as myself to a certain extent, are interested in...the abuse.
It's getting out there, more and more news articles are coming out. How do you explain the Rehabilitation Project Force xemutv?
You are missing the point; they don't have to be organized. They aren't going to sue the church out of existence or storm it's doors, they are going to ridicule it into suicide. And, CoS has to be secretive. Galactic DC-8's and E-Meters aren't going to bear close examination...neither is CoS's tax exempt status, which is really what all this is about.
You have to admire Anon from an organizational standpoint. It is probably leaderless and they have no infrastructure, so legal injunctions won't work against them. They also appear to be decentralized, tech-savvy, energetic, and enjoying themselves quite a bit. They've also picked an enemy against whom they can hardly lose. Scientology is insular and secretive, and any attention they garner that they can't control is going to be seen by them as a loss.
Wasp stings can kill if you are allergic to them. Scientology is allergic to scrutiny. Anon is forcing Scientology to either answer their charges against them or hide passively. Once the CoS goes passive, all the enemies CoS has made over the years will launch attacks of their own. "A hurricane announces itself as the gentlest of breezes..."
The fact is that you guys will never destroy scientology. Its much more powerful than 10,000 members of Anonymous.Scientology is knowledge. If you bring down the church(which you wont!)then another organisation will take its place.
Well, current sources from inside say that Scientology numbers about 80,000 member - and it took 60 years to get to that number remember...
The legal structure of the Church of Scientology means that you are right of course - either the RTC or the CST will take over. But that isn't the point, the point from what i can tell is to bring an end to the abuse of your members and critics. The beliefs are not a problem, it's David Miscavige and the reports of his reign of terror that is...
Truth can have an amazingly corrosive effect on cults. I'm not saying Anon is going to be able to pull it off, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do. Scientology appears to be paying a lot of attention to Anon; they wouldn't be doing that if they weren't worried.
Iremember the movie "Bean" a while back. In it the Arch Bishop of Canterbury was depicted in a scene with his bottomup and "Jesus is coming" tattoed on his lower back. Hilarious!
Now if Tommy Boy Cruise or DaveyBoy Miscavige were depicted as such, with "Xenu is Coming" tattoed in same place, Scientology lawyers would go into a feeding frenzy. That sums it all up. And everytime a Scifag lawyer jumps on TV ppl see that $cientology is just as litigious as they are said to be.
There are a lot of legal ways you can go to get a persons I.D.I think the COS are connected to a an intelligent agency or they are really good at finding out the background of a specific person.
Thats not important.Whats important is that you let the public know that the only reason why Anonymous are protesting is because of a Tom Cruise video.
In the UK, and most of Europe, using data from an 'intelligence agency' (yeah whatever) would be illegal as it would breach the Data Protection Act. You can't use information on someone for any purpose other than the one originally intended...
It started with the Tom Cruise video being pulled from the internet (and was therefore about Scientology censoring people) but has become about MUCH more...you know that. So do they. And soon, the whole world will as well.
You follow them home or use spying devices to listen in on conversations anyway why is it that an elderly woman(tory)can openly attack Scientology but a hundred men and women hide behind masks.I smell cowards.
I'm curious to know, because the CoS has a policy of harassing it's critics with false charges. This being the case, you understand why I'd want to question your motives, right?
For instance in Mark Bunkers latest video on the upcoming protests he states very briefly about a server from a particular country that has scientology sources on it.He doesnt give orders but he basically is.Watch it and see.
I believe there are a group of people who are instigating these events and it is people who were protesting against the church before the Tom Cruise video fiasco. They are in the thirty to sixty age group and most of them live in the USA.I have also heard certain senior people laying down secret messages to Anonymous through You Tube vids.
Our anonymity is ideal because, as already stated, your cult has a history of harassing those whose personal information you collect. Knowing your religion's history, one would be foolish not to protect their identity.
A person doesn't need a self-revering image to spread a message, the world's increasing awareness of the nature of CoS through Anonymous is proof of that. Each person who knows the true nature of CoS courtesy of Anonymous is one more person who will never become a Scientologist.
i can't answer these questions for you...some people from Anonymous will surely be along soon to do so.
However, i'm interested to know (since you seem to have all the answers already) who YOU think is organising all this? Time to have your opinion heard :)
If there isnt a command structure.Whose idea was it to disable the church of scientology website?Who decided to wear the v for vendetta mask?Who decides what each protest will be called? For example the sea argghh!
Someone must be instigating this and this person or group are your leaders that is something you seem to be blind to.
The only people that are going to be owned is the people that are still a part of Anonymous when it begins to get nasty.I will back the church in making sure you guys get huge charges against you./The main one will be instigating hate crimes against a religion.
From what i can see as an outsider documenting these events, the current protests are some of the most peaceful seen. This has been verified by the London police, who from those i've spoken to have been more than happy with the events and are actually going to be stepping down police presence because Anonymous has been so peaceful.
i agree with you, go after those who break the law. Do so in a legal and law-abiding manner.
You really dont know where this is going do you?Terrorism is a crime. So and less you have a good lawyer or a few hundred pounds to spare I suggest you leave Anonymous.I wonder if the people you spoke to were one of the people that came in the church for some books. Not everone acts like sheep.I have also let known the crimes of Anonymous to thousands of people.UPLOADING CHILD PORN,POSTING RACIAL AND SEXUAL SLURS AND DISABLING PUBLIC WEBSITES.
i have spoken previously to Scientologists, my last video had an interview with a Scientologist that was put in unedited so that he could say his piece.
Notice in that video that he was stopped from speaking his point of view by another Scientologist? Not by me or anybody else...
In the time that i was at the protests (four hours), i saw two people go into the TCR building...and they left empty-handed.
What did your silly protest actually do? When you guys went home.We had people coming in to the church to find out more about scientology. Thanks for the publicity guys!
Well, from what i could gather (and i was there to document events so others may want to chirp in with particulars) - there were a few thousand flyers handed out to the public; there were a few hundred discussion with the public; and the TCR building was effectively shut down for a day.
For a group of individuals who are apparently 'at cause' over their surroundings, it seemed quite out of your control.
Oh, and that's not to mention the Times reporters that were there doing a piece. Guardian Light Publication's video (seen here) which has been put on a few dozen video sites (and within a day has collectively been watched over 4,000 times). There were a few other press photographers there too, from at least two other major news outlets.
Overall, from an outsiders perspective...these guys are - how do they like to put it - 'owning' you.
Yet you have full control over what you post on YouTube.
You could have posted the flyer that held information about the Church; or you could gain videos of Scientologists doing things most would disagree with and post those (there are videos talking about them putting a false name on their organization to move into a town, buying CAN after they bankrupt them with law suits...)
There are ways you can effectively communicate the facts, not random attacks.
I've just had my comments censored and blocked from other major YouTube Anonymous video posters (namely XenuExposed and PlymouthScientology) so I'm somewhat on the defensive against YouTube Anons...
Sorry the misinterpretation.
I find it amusing that one of the largest concerns people have with Scientology is that they suppress free speech (since without that suppression many would already know the abuses going on) and Anon members would do the same...
Definitely see your point, it is wrong to supress free speech no matter where it is coming from or what they are saying.
As i'm not a 'YouTube Anon' you won't see that happening here at all...but you can guarantee that i will pull people up on factual errors. And there ARE plenty of Anon who will argue their point here in response too.
I know Anon is not one group, it is many using a single symbol (or title). One group of Anon could easily be unknown to another and be opposite of yet another.
"i'm not a YouTube Anon"
I meant an Anonymous member on YouTube... I have not been blocked from speaking by an Anonymous member in real life (they don't cover my mouth or run away when I speak with them).
Not all terrorism is, and it depends on how you define it.
Military definition: "The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence against people or property to coerce or intimidate governments or societies"
"unlawful use or threatened use" - "threatened use"; the war in Iraq could be considered terrorism since it uses "force or violence against people or property to coerce or intimidate governments or societies"
There are leaders, there is a command structure; but it is far looser and thus far more complex and impossible to truly comprehend in full (especially if Anon keeps growing).
The "leaders" are people who set up protests, get permits; post videos on YouTube and other upload sites, make sites for Anon, manage forums...
No one leads all of Anon though, or even most. One may lead an Anon protest one day, they may be an Anon follower the next.
Point taken. What i meant though was that there was no overall leadership structure for the global movement.
Locally, you are right, there are some who must have to do more organising than others. But from my own investigations, there is no command 'structure' that says - 'do this and this' - just a kind of hive mind thing that collectively decides on things.
it's quite interesting to watch from the outside actually...
"hive mind thing that collectively decides on things"
I may be soured by the failure of socialism; but even in groups and societies that try to claim no leader, there is a leader.
Recognizing that there are leaders and not letting the organization be controlled or made into puppets by those leaders should help Anon avoid the mass corruption we saw in Communism.
Could you please put a finger on my 'leader'? Cos I sure don't know who he or she is.
Any attempts to direct Anonymous fall on deaf ears. The Internet has brought about a true age of collective decision making and it's first real life manifestation is Project Chanology.
I'm not saying you are led, I am saying a leader could easily rise in Anonymous. If you control (as the admin) enough Anon forums and start charging $.25 for forum access (to "keep the site running and fund protests") you'll start to see it become led.
There are small leaders in Anon now; none really corrupt (that I've heard of) but that can change if left unchecked and if there is a denial of any form of a leader (of groups within Anon).
I'd really be much easier if you just had pictures of dead people, a family separated with one of those 10-20 ft long banners, bring up the cost or show people what they believe.
Why do you have to use the word "cult"? You do know Christianity and Islam are both cults? You do know both have done far more crimes in the past 3 decades? You do know both have taken far more lives and been far more controlling and absolute in the certainty of their correctness?
By being so broad, not even trying to use their own rhetoric against them and focusing more on opinions and accusations than facts you only give Scientology ammo to prove this is a fight "Us vs. Them".
You are giving Scientologists reason to fear you more than their own organization. You are helping the elites of Scientology.
Focus on the deaths, the long hours, the cost, the separation of families, quotes from their people, the racism among higher ranks... not "cult".
All of the things you mention were there and very clear as well on other signs (except the dead bodies, which is in pretty poor taste and uses someone's memory in an undignified manner).
This has been said earlier, but the word 'cult' was SO prevalent because last month they tried to get someone charged for using it - it was a freedom of speech issue for most people this month. All previous protests have highlighted everything you have mentioned...it might be worth looking into it more first.
"it was a freedom of speech issue for most people this month"
There are people who say Bush is Hitler (and draw a Charlie Chaplin moustache on pictures of him) but that only discredits their claims.
I said "Focus on". There are far more signs using the word cult (mainly JUST using the word cult) and don't say anything else.
Sure it's freedom of speech but it makes you look like terrorists; not even calling their people what they want to be called and focusing on defamation.
Many Anonymous that I've spoken with say they use phrases like "cult" or "death cult" or "ban the cult" because that is how you get attention; that no one would look at a sign displaying facts.
Yet another fantastic video! Great coverage on the massive wave of facepalming, brilliant it was! Hope to talk to you properly next time, always see you but never get the chance to say thanks for the great coverage! Till next time. :)
While it's good that you all are out there protesting, i see the use of the word "cult" too much. Looking from the point of view from a scientologist, it looks like you guys /are/ just religious bigots, and the highers ups in the cult are taking advantage of that to make anonymous out to be a bunch of extreemists. Next protest, you should make the signs a little bit more empathetic, and expose the cult's wrongs on signs.
The use of the word 'cult' was in reaction to the events of the previous protest, in which one teenager was issued with a court summons for using the word.
That's why nearly every sign used it this time - to show that their free speech would not be stifled.
As ever, an absolutely fantastic video there, nice work. I really do love your vids, but I have one complaint. Once again, despite being on the front-row at TCR this time (with a megaphone), you totally failed to get any film of me lol. I remember having this discussion with you at the last one, and now you've gone and done it again! Arrrgh! *giggle*
Complaint taken...i'm sure there is footage of you in there somewhere (2 hours worth this time...lowest amount yet actually!). Obviously though, i am kind of dictated by the music that i use as i like having everything match up to the beats ;)
BTW, one correction. The police didn't say ENG's sign incited religious hatred. It was always about s5 Of the public order act - which is about being "threatening, abusive or insulting."
dude at 4:09 is a GENIUS!! :D ima smoker as well as an Anon an its a bitch not being able to smoke while masked up.haha.

I'll always go by this old standby;
Ask a Christian, a Jew, a Muslim, a Buddist, etc, about their religion they'll tell you or give you a book to read (for free)
Ask a scientologist, he'll tell you once the check clears.

Xemutv, that's an old scientology dodge, but ok, for the sake of arguement let's look at it further. Are you saying that scientology is just another scam passing itself off as a faith, like Christianity and Islam?
Lgilsig 3 years ago
Yet Christianity and Islam don't make you pay for their lies.
AnonyShoes 3 years ago 2

Scientology is alot more powerful and organised than those cults you named.
xemutv 3 years ago
"A cult is a group or movement exhibiting a great or excessive devotion or dedication to some person, idea, or thing and employing unethically manipulative techniques of persuasion and control (e.g., isolation from former friends and family, debilitation, use of special methods to heighten suggestibility and subservience, powerful group pressures, information management, suspension of individuality or critical judgment, promotion of total dependency on the group and fear of leaving it, etc.)...
Shahate 3 years ago
"...designed to advance the goals of the group's leaders to the actual or possible detriment of members, their families, or the community." (West & Langone, 1986)
I have studied new religious movements and cults extensively at university. The above definition is pretty much spot on. It has nothing to do with size in this context, it is about personal freedom and the amount of control exerted on individuals within the group.
Shahate 3 years ago
3 things so far 4 minutes in:
1- Massive facepalm = epic win
2- London knows how to be uniform in it's GF masks epic win
3- The way that girl hands out flyers greatly increases the chances of a person taking them.

I am not going to give names. You should know the people that are throwing their weight around in the sea org.I am a ex member of the church.A freezoner.Scientology does have churches but Scientology is also a movement. The goal is to clear the planet and we are very sincere about doing this. You may look at these camps as slave camps but working and planning are good for mental and physical health.
xemutv 3 years ago
Interesting - can i ask why you choose to be a Freezoner and not a member of the Church of Scientology? Do you have anything against the CoS?
Again, these protests are much more about the Church of Scientology than Scientology as a 'movement'...so you shouldn't feel so threatened, there are many freezoners protesting as well you know!
Shahate 3 years ago
xemutv, you are obviously not a keen fan of history.
Lgilsig 3 years ago
Just to point out, but the Branch Davidians, and the Aum group are still both active (the Aum group schismed recently actually). Groups based around belief hardly ever become 'extinct'...but they can certainly lose most of their power and influence, which is what will happen to Scientology in the near future.
The teachings of L Ron Hubbard will be look upon by a few as the Way for a very long time to come...but it's the abuses of the organisation that need to be rectified.
Shahate 3 years ago
And yes, believe it or not, even Heaven's Gate still has some members floating about...you can probably count them on your own hands, but they're there.
The protests, from what i can gather, are about people being abused and conned. Anonymous is just trying to let people know what they are getting themselves into so that they aren't tricked into it and then suffer accordingly.
Shahate 3 years ago
You are of course correct. There will always be a few die-hards to carry on a cult's name, if not its beliefs. Back in the mid 1990's I lived across the street from a Branch Davidian owned home in La Verne, CA. They never had lights on at night, and their kids never played outside. Very creepy.
Lgilsig 3 years ago
Scientology is neither a religion nor a movement. Scientology is a handful of plagiarized ideas wrapped in bad science fiction hiding under a tax shelter. It would make more sense to base a religion on Frodo and the Ring than Hubbard and his galactic DC-8'S. That people allow themselves to be herded into "camps" in the name of health is an abomination. All Scientology is missing is the Cool-Aide.
Lgilsig 3 years ago
Its not the fact that we cant stand people making fun of scientology.Thats harmless. But when you speak of destroying scientology then that is bound to piss people off.
The RPF force is usually for sea org members.Hardcore scientologists who live eat and breath scientology.Everyone knows about the RPF so when a member joins the sea org he knows what he is getting himself into.I think the problem is certain people abuse positions and send people to the RPF for petty reasons.
xemutv 3 years ago
Who abuses positions? Be more specific? Are you a Scientologist Xemutv?
Shahate 3 years ago
nothing wrong with a church having an RPF TO YOU?
motomissle 3 years ago
But that wont work.Unknown to you the church has had enemies since day 1.South Park aired a episode claiming that we really believe in the xenu story. This does nothing to destroy the church.People insult christianity and islam all the time.If thats your goal then you will fail. Not everyone follows Anonymous like sheep.
xemutv 3 years ago
It's not about your beliefs. It's about the people trapped in the RPF, or the SP hall. That is what the media, such as myself to a certain extent, are interested in...the abuse.
It's getting out there, more and more news articles are coming out. How do you explain the Rehabilitation Project Force xemutv?
Shahate 3 years ago
If they are not organised how do they expect to destroy the church?
Sooner or later someone will have to reveal their face.
What happens if the church decides to no longer be secretive?
You have a bunch of idiots in masks dancing to rick astley.
xemutv 3 years ago
You are missing the point; they don't have to be organized. They aren't going to sue the church out of existence or storm it's doors, they are going to ridicule it into suicide. And, CoS has to be secretive. Galactic DC-8's and E-Meters aren't going to bear close examination...neither is CoS's tax exempt status, which is really what all this is about.
Lgilsig 3 years ago
You have to admire Anon from an organizational standpoint. It is probably leaderless and they have no infrastructure, so legal injunctions won't work against them. They also appear to be decentralized, tech-savvy, energetic, and enjoying themselves quite a bit. They've also picked an enemy against whom they can hardly lose. Scientology is insular and secretive, and any attention they garner that they can't control is going to be seen by them as a loss.
Lgilsig 3 years ago
They are paying attention to Anonymous as you would a wasp in the room. You know you can easily defeat it but you may get stung in the process.
xemutv 3 years ago
Wasp stings can kill if you are allergic to them. Scientology is allergic to scrutiny. Anon is forcing Scientology to either answer their charges against them or hide passively. Once the CoS goes passive, all the enemies CoS has made over the years will launch attacks of their own. "A hurricane announces itself as the gentlest of breezes..."
Lgilsig 3 years ago
The fact is that you guys will never destroy scientology. Its much more powerful than 10,000 members of Anonymous.Scientology is knowledge. If you bring down the church(which you wont!)then another organisation will take its place.
xemutv 3 years ago
Well, current sources from inside say that Scientology numbers about 80,000 member - and it took 60 years to get to that number remember...
The legal structure of the Church of Scientology means that you are right of course - either the RTC or the CST will take over. But that isn't the point, the point from what i can tell is to bring an end to the abuse of your members and critics. The beliefs are not a problem, it's David Miscavige and the reports of his reign of terror that is...
Shahate 3 years ago
Truth can have an amazingly corrosive effect on cults. I'm not saying Anon is going to be able to pull it off, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do. Scientology appears to be paying a lot of attention to Anon; they wouldn't be doing that if they weren't worried.
Lgilsig 3 years ago
Iremember the movie "Bean" a while back. In it the Arch Bishop of Canterbury was depicted in a scene with his bottomup and "Jesus is coming" tattoed on his lower back. Hilarious!
Now if Tommy Boy Cruise or DaveyBoy Miscavige were depicted as such, with "Xenu is Coming" tattoed in same place, Scientology lawyers would go into a feeding frenzy. That sums it all up. And everytime a Scifag lawyer jumps on TV ppl see that $cientology is just as litigious as they are said to be.
netjryt 3 years ago
Xemutv, are you a member of the Church of Scientology?
Shahate 3 years ago
There are a lot of legal ways you can go to get a persons I.D.I think the COS are connected to a an intelligent agency or they are really good at finding out the background of a specific person.
Thats not important.Whats important is that you let the public know that the only reason why Anonymous are protesting is because of a Tom Cruise video.
xemutv 3 years ago
In the UK, and most of Europe, using data from an 'intelligence agency' (yeah whatever) would be illegal as it would breach the Data Protection Act. You can't use information on someone for any purpose other than the one originally intended...
It started with the Tom Cruise video being pulled from the internet (and was therefore about Scientology censoring people) but has become about MUCH more...you know that. So do they. And soon, the whole world will as well.
Shahate 3 years ago
the reason we started protesting is because of the video.
We protest because $cientology is a sinister and corrupt organization that deserves to be lifted from the face of the earth.
jpsousa4 3 years ago
I have not taken part in these activities.I believe that the law should deal with people that attack a religion for silly reasons(tom cruise video)
xemutv 3 years ago
But you're okay with your church taking part in them? You seem to be contradicting yourself here quite a bit...is Scientology moral or not?
Shahate 3 years ago
In other words...what is a LEGAL way for the Church of Scientology to find out the identities of these people?
You've already mentioned some illegal ways, and implied that they are used, but i'd like to hear some law-abiding ones thank you...
Shahate 3 years ago
You follow them home or use spying devices to listen in on conversations anyway why is it that an elderly woman(tory)can openly attack Scientology but a hundred men and women hide behind masks.I smell cowards.

I believe there are a group of people who are instigating these events and it is people who were protesting against the church before the Tom Cruise video fiasco. They are in the thirty to sixty age group and most of them live in the USA.I have also heard certain senior people laying down secret messages to Anonymous through You Tube vids.
xemutv 3 years ago
Secret messages? That sounds pretty interesting! Could you point some out that you have heard/been told of?
Shahate 3 years ago
Seriously though another question if u dont mind.
How do you expect to reform or destroy the church by being anonymous?
And how comes Tory Magooey an elderly woman is not afraid of fair game and you guys hide behind masks?
Two questions.
xemutv 3 years ago
your cult has a history of sueing people. how can the cult of scientology sue people when they dont know who they are?
FreeRockKossoff 3 years ago
Our anonymity is ideal because, as already stated, your cult has a history of harassing those whose personal information you collect. Knowing your religion's history, one would be foolish not to protect their identity.
A person doesn't need a self-revering image to spread a message, the world's increasing awareness of the nature of CoS through Anonymous is proof of that. Each person who knows the true nature of CoS courtesy of Anonymous is one more person who will never become a Scientologist.
Kucheat 3 years ago
You are being general.Who instigates these events? Its a simple question.
xemutv 3 years ago
i can't answer these questions for you...some people from Anonymous will surely be along soon to do so.
However, i'm interested to know (since you seem to have all the answers already) who YOU think is organising all this? Time to have your opinion heard :)
Shahate 3 years ago
How do you expect to reform the COS by being anonymous.I find the concept ridiculous.Get some balls.
xemutv 3 years ago
If there isnt a command structure.Whose idea was it to disable the church of scientology website?Who decided to wear the v for vendetta mask?Who decides what each protest will be called? For example the sea argghh!
Someone must be instigating this and this person or group are your leaders that is something you seem to be blind to.

"Someone must be instigating this and this person or group are your leaders that is something you seem to be blind to"

xemutv 3 years ago
From what i can see as an outsider documenting these events, the current protests are some of the most peaceful seen. This has been verified by the London police, who from those i've spoken to have been more than happy with the events and are actually going to be stepping down police presence because Anonymous has been so peaceful.
i agree with you, go after those who break the law. Do so in a legal and law-abiding manner.
Shahate 3 years ago
Well of course the church was acting scared.
You really dont know where this is going do you?Terrorism is a crime. So and less you have a good lawyer or a few hundred pounds to spare I suggest you leave Anonymous.I wonder if the people you spoke to were one of the people that came in the church for some books. Not everone acts like sheep.I have also let known the crimes of Anonymous to thousands of people.UPLOADING CHILD PORN,POSTING RACIAL AND SEXUAL SLURS AND DISABLING PUBLIC WEBSITES.
xemutv 3 years ago
First of all, i can't leave something i'm not a part of. Secondly, was that a threat?
Shahate 3 years ago
i have spoken previously to Scientologists, my last video had an interview with a Scientologist that was put in unedited so that he could say his piece.
Notice in that video that he was stopped from speaking his point of view by another Scientologist? Not by me or anybody else...
In the time that i was at the protests (four hours), i saw two people go into the TCR building...and they left empty-handed.
Shahate 3 years ago
"Notice in that video that he was stopped from speaking his point of view by another Scientologist?"
Probably justified as the comments making the CoS less safe?
A great forefather of our country once said:
"Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety"
Gondeath 3 years ago
What did your silly protest actually do? When you guys went home.We had people coming in to the church to find out more about scientology. Thanks for the publicity guys!
xemutv 3 years ago
Well, from what i could gather (and i was there to document events so others may want to chirp in with particulars) - there were a few thousand flyers handed out to the public; there were a few hundred discussion with the public; and the TCR building was effectively shut down for a day.
For a group of individuals who are apparently 'at cause' over their surroundings, it seemed quite out of your control.
Shahate 3 years ago
Oh, and that's not to mention the Times reporters that were there doing a piece. Guardian Light Publication's video (seen here) which has been put on a few dozen video sites (and within a day has collectively been watched over 4,000 times). There were a few other press photographers there too, from at least two other major news outlets.
Overall, from an outsiders perspective...these guys are - how do they like to put it - 'owning' you.
Shahate 3 years ago
"quite out of your control"
Yet you have full control over what you post on YouTube.
You could have posted the flyer that held information about the Church; or you could gain videos of Scientologists doing things most would disagree with and post those (there are videos talking about them putting a false name on their organization to move into a town, buying CAN after they bankrupt them with law suits...)
There are ways you can effectively communicate the facts, not random attacks.
Gondeath 3 years ago
"owning you"
I am not a slave, and I am just on YouTube. If it took a crowd that big to beat a commenter on YouTube... you really need to change tactics.
What organization do you believe I am a part of...?
You do know both candidates for president defend Israel fiercely even though they are not Jews? Do I have to be a Scientologist to defend the CoS?
I am merely speaking of word choice, not the protest itself. I applaud you for protesting against that which you don't agree with.
Gondeath 3 years ago
Um...Gondeath - i was referring to Xemutv's comments...it's not about you ;)
Shahate 3 years ago
"it's not about you"
Don't mind me... I'm just a little too self centered (and didn't see the comment).
Gondeath 3 years ago
No worries, hope you didn't take offense! :)
Shahate 3 years ago
"hope you didn't take offense"
I've just had my comments censored and blocked from other major YouTube Anonymous video posters (namely XenuExposed and PlymouthScientology) so I'm somewhat on the defensive against YouTube Anons...
Sorry the misinterpretation.
I find it amusing that one of the largest concerns people have with Scientology is that they suppress free speech (since without that suppression many would already know the abuses going on) and Anon members would do the same...
Gondeath 3 years ago
Definitely see your point, it is wrong to supress free speech no matter where it is coming from or what they are saying.
As i'm not a 'YouTube Anon' you won't see that happening here at all...but you can guarantee that i will pull people up on factual errors. And there ARE plenty of Anon who will argue their point here in response too.
Shahate 3 years ago
"there ARE plenty of Anon"
I know Anon is not one group, it is many using a single symbol (or title). One group of Anon could easily be unknown to another and be opposite of yet another.
"i'm not a YouTube Anon"
I meant an Anonymous member on YouTube... I have not been blocked from speaking by an Anonymous member in real life (they don't cover my mouth or run away when I speak with them).
Gondeath 3 years ago
"Terrorism is a crime"
Not all terrorism is, and it depends on how you define it.
Military definition: "The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence against people or property to coerce or intimidate governments or societies"
"unlawful use or threatened use" - "threatened use"; the war in Iraq could be considered terrorism since it uses "force or violence against people or property to coerce or intimidate governments or societies"
The coercion being to become democratic.
Gondeath 3 years ago
"guys get huge charges against you"
You do know that is why your religion is being prosecuted? (at least a major reason)
If you did not sue people all the time, and put them into debt or bankrupt them then you would not have nearly as many enemies as you do today.
Each suit you make against someone protesting the CoS is an attack on Scientology.
Gondeath 3 years ago
Your words about Anon are exactly spot on. There is no single 'group' - something that Scientology seems unable to comprehend.
There is no command structure, no leaders. It is quite an amazing thing to see actually...
Shahate 3 years ago
"There is no command structure, no leaders"
There are leaders, there is a command structure; but it is far looser and thus far more complex and impossible to truly comprehend in full (especially if Anon keeps growing).
The "leaders" are people who set up protests, get permits; post videos on YouTube and other upload sites, make sites for Anon, manage forums...
No one leads all of Anon though, or even most. One may lead an Anon protest one day, they may be an Anon follower the next.
Gondeath 3 years ago
I actually believe the true leader of Anonymous to be the idea of trying to find truth without being personally attacked for doing so.
That is why many use the "Guy Fox" mask popularized by the "V for Vendetta" movie.
"Beneath this mask there is more than flesh... Beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof"
Gondeath 3 years ago
Point taken. What i meant though was that there was no overall leadership structure for the global movement.
Locally, you are right, there are some who must have to do more organising than others. But from my own investigations, there is no command 'structure' that says - 'do this and this' - just a kind of hive mind thing that collectively decides on things.
it's quite interesting to watch from the outside actually...
Shahate 3 years ago
"hive mind thing that collectively decides on things"
I may be soured by the failure of socialism; but even in groups and societies that try to claim no leader, there is a leader.
Recognizing that there are leaders and not letting the organization be controlled or made into puppets by those leaders should help Anon avoid the mass corruption we saw in Communism.
Gondeath 3 years ago
Anon is nowhere near powerful enough or organized enough to have rampant corruption, but it has grown fast and it's best to avoid corruption early.
"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"
Gondeath 3 years ago
Could you please put a finger on my 'leader'? Cos I sure don't know who he or she is.
Any attempts to direct Anonymous fall on deaf ears. The Internet has brought about a true age of collective decision making and it's first real life manifestation is Project Chanology.
Ann0minous 3 years ago
"Could you please put a finger on my 'leader'?"
Gondeath 3 years ago
The only way to keep Anon truly Anonymous is to keep the sites, forums and postings decentralized.
Don't just congregate on a few sites or they will start to hold the power and leadership.

Scientology small enough for you?
Gondeath 3 years ago
By being so broad, not even trying to use their own rhetoric against them and focusing more on opinions and accusations than facts you only give Scientology ammo to prove this is a fight "Us vs. Them".
You are giving Scientologists reason to fear you more than their own organization. You are helping the elites of Scientology.
Focus on the deaths, the long hours, the cost, the separation of families, quotes from their people, the racism among higher ranks... not "cult".
Gondeath 3 years ago
All of the things you mention were there and very clear as well on other signs (except the dead bodies, which is in pretty poor taste and uses someone's memory in an undignified manner).
This has been said earlier, but the word 'cult' was SO prevalent because last month they tried to get someone charged for using it - it was a freedom of speech issue for most people this month. All previous protests have highlighted everything you have mentioned...it might be worth looking into it more first.
Shahate 3 years ago
"it was a freedom of speech issue for most people this month"
There are people who say Bush is Hitler (and draw a Charlie Chaplin moustache on pictures of him) but that only discredits their claims.
I said "Focus on". There are far more signs using the word cult (mainly JUST using the word cult) and don't say anything else.
Sure it's freedom of speech but it makes you look like terrorists; not even calling their people what they want to be called and focusing on defamation.
Gondeath 3 years ago
"pretty poor taste... undignified manner"
Yet it is a fact, shown in the form of a graphic.
Many Anonymous that I've spoken with say they use phrases like "cult" or "death cult" or "ban the cult" because that is how you get attention; that no one would look at a sign displaying facts.

While it's good that you all are out there protesting, i see the use of the word "cult" too much. Looking from the point of view from a scientologist, it looks like you guys /are/ just religious bigots, and the highers ups in the cult are taking advantage of that to make anonymous out to be a bunch of extreemists. Next protest, you should make the signs a little bit more empathetic, and expose the cult's wrongs on signs.
jpsousa4 3 years ago
The use of the word 'cult' was in reaction to the events of the previous protest, in which one teenager was issued with a court summons for using the word.
That's why nearly every sign used it this time - to show that their free speech would not be stifled.

Terrific vid. How do you do it so fast?
BTW, one correction. The police didn't say ENG's sign incited religious hatred. It was always about s5 Of the public order act - which is about being "threatening, abusive or insulting."
Other than that, terrific.

Ah ok cool, thanks for the correction. You can blame the Guardian article for that one as i was going from their info on it ;)
