  • Many manly tears were shed.

  • You should realize that nintendo still makes the best games ever.

I mean think of all the great titles like super mario bros (64, sunshine, galaxy 1, 2 etc etc)

Mario kart 64, Mario kart Double dash, Mario kart Wii

Not to forget all the Zelda's who played a big role in Nintendo's succes and the Super Smash games.

And ofcourse all the DK games.

All these title's are big names in the world of gaming and if you ask me if they never showed up the world of gaming as we know would never have excisted!

  • don't cry..

    don't fucking cry..

    don't fuc..

    FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!

  • I promised myself I wouldn't cry anymore...

  • the best game in history ever.....

  • "Thank you so much for a-playing my game-a!"

    :D

  • I remember I used to beat the final boss just so I could hear this piece of music.

  • @SMWMusics Then you took an arrow to the knee?

  • This is just one of the best ending themes that I've ever heard, so beautiful... Im proud to have played this in the nineties, the golden age of videogames.

  • @Fresdabf No golden age of video games exist.

  • Donkey Kong: A legend is born. Super Mario Bros: The Beginning of an adventure. Super Mario Bros 2: New Adventure, new enemies. Super Mario Bros 3: Best of the NES. Super Mario World: New adventure, new friends, old enemies. Super Mario 64: Defined future 3d games. Super Mario Sunshine: New mechanics for a new adventure. Super Mario Galaxy: Best adventure is in space Super Mario Galaxy 2: His fame continues in the stars. Super Mario 3d Land: Best game for the best mechanic. What is next Mario?
  • Manly tears...manly tears...

  • this is the run

  • 1:13 reminds me of a pokemon song from one of the the video games...

  • Hehe.. I cried some manly tears while completing this as a child.. Dang! 13 years went by so fast..

  • *quickly presses reset button*

  • SM64 never happened. The entire game is elderly Mario visiting a museum dedicated to him, and each level is him reminiscing fondly on his past adventures. The entire game is about nostalgia and memories; In the end he never gets a cake, but he comes to terms with death. That is what the end is about. SM64 is Mario's last adventure.

  • its normal if i cry?

  • @juliman17rs Absolutely, yes. SM64 FOREVER!!!

  • @juliman17rs Absolutely.

  • 1:12 is my favorite part...

  • I wanted this to be my graduation song

  • mario 64 its so fun and cool its the best

  • just call it end theme

  • Im not gonna fucking cry, im not...... AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

  • best end song i heard yet

  • Mario 64 invented 3D Platforming. This game is legendary and has the most accomplished moment in my childhood (these credits)

  • 3:17

Mario: Thank you for playing my game !

Me: You are welcome, it has been a great time playing your game !

  • Beautiful song plays with great game!

    Ending Video is touching also.

  • I like how it starts similarly as how it finishes

  • @Demonamic777 From Wikipedia: "A platformer is a video game characterized by requiring the player to jump to and from suspended platforms or over obstacles".

So tell me... in which world in Super Mario 64 are you jumping more than you're exploring? Are you jumping from suspended platforms in Bob-omb Battlefield? In Whomp's Fortress, did you spend more time running around finding little secrets or were you testing your jumping skills? Which level actually required you to jump all the time?

  • 9 people get their asses kicked by Bowser.

  • thank you so much a for playing my gamea :P

  • Hey guys, remember why we liked this game? It was amazingly original and different from the 2D games.Nowdays it seems all we get is remakes of classic games (which are pretty good, but still lack originality) and 6000 FPS's every month.Seriously,I'll admit I'm a lazy fuck, but come on,we miss original platformers!

  • @SuperAwesomeTiago This game hardly classifies as a platformer...

  • @DanielLadson Seriously... what crack you smoking.

  • @Demonamic777 Read my earlier comments and you'll know why.

  • @DanielLadson Yeah your 'earlier' comments made less sense. You obviously don't know what a 'platformer' is try looking it up instead of throwing about non-sensal comments.

  • @Demonamic777 Hmmm. Maybe YOU should research what a "platformer" is instead of throwing about "non-sensal" comments

  • @DanielLadson Dude, its a platformer, no matter how non-linear it might be, you must jump from platform to platform really often. It can be considered a platformer. It IS considered a platformer. Thwomp forteress, you had to jump to reach the top of the white tower. Of course, there's also alot of exploration, maybe even more exploration then platforming, but theres still lots of platforming (tic toc clock, the flying carpet level, tall tall mountain). Let's just call it adventure/platformer?

  • @simba90s Like I said, I prefer to think of it more as an Action-Adventure, though for an Action-Adventure game it has much more platforming, so I guess the "impure" genre of Adventure-Platformer makes sense.

Anyway, so what if it's not a platformer? It's still a good game. I don't understand why people get fired up when I choose to not call it one. Doesn't change how much my mind was blown when I ran around in video games for the first time in 3D. Truly one of the most influential games.

  • @FELIPEPKPK You have to understand though, that platformers are SUPPOSED to be linear. Look at all the 2D Mario games. Do they involve open-world exploration and revisiting the same levels over and over again? No, other than few secrets, once you cleared a level you're done with it. So is SM64 or Sunshine a perfect shift from 2D Mario to 3D Mario? Nope. You might find it dull, but I personally think it's better that the Galaxy games adopted a linear approach.

  • lol Mario went through all kinds of s*** and all he gets is a crappy looking cake

  • I love this game so much

  • after finishing the game for the 1st time i knew my childhood also was nearing it's end. After Mario 64 i never had another favorite game even until now. I love Modern Warfare as much as the next game but this game was heart feeling. The closest game to this is is Kingdom Hearts. But Nintendo 64 and Mario 64 are my all time favorites!

  • Any future games would...well, actually, the future games still kicked ass. Mario NEVER went bad.

  • @Medachod Except for Sunshine. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy it and find it fun, but... it just didn't feel right having some water pump on my back :/

  • la verdad me dio tristesa elfinal de mario 64

  • BRB gonna go build a time machine

  • THANK YOU Mario for SAVING ME from BOWSeR THANK YOU *plays staff credits * *end s staff credits* THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PLAYING IN MY GAME

  • this will be played at my funeral

  • @pokemonplushnetwork

    Mine too.

  • nowadays microsoft and sony make good games ( not trying to compare ) but I think nintendo is what gives us More memories than others

  • i bet this game made PlayStation jealous.

  • Remember kids , mario used to be good back in the day...

  • @FELIPEPKPK No, you're thinking of Sonic :P

  • @GamingHam mario died after sunshine for me , galaxy sucked major dick

  • @FELIPEPKPK No offence, but I think ALOT of people would disagree

  • @FELIPEPKPK I'm not a very big fan of modern gaming but I have still follow it and have seen no decline in the quality of Mario titles what so ever.

  • @FELIPEPKPK I'm assuming you're the type who didn't like the linear flow of the Galaxy games...?

  • @DanielLadson that and the level design as well.

  • gonna go build a time machine

  • :( I don't want it to end though....R.I.P great game.

  • I JUST CLOCKED, IT DOEST SAY THE THANK YOU PART AT THE END, OR AM I MISSING SOMTHING?

  • 9 people wanted King Bowser to win!

  • 'Thank you so much for a playing my game a!'

  • this brings me back the pld memeorys thanks for putting this song i will add you as a friend after super mario 64is one of my favorite games g=can you do one for the ds

  • I know there are loads of comments like this.. but it's so true. This song has lived in our hearts since playing this game and beating it for the first time, and it will stay in our hearts forever. I can't even remember the music from games such as Gears of War. As much as I enjoy games of today, it is impossible to recreate how fantastic gaming used to be. I miss it so much. This song makes me sad, but also makes me remember the amazing times I had. Thank you Nintendo

  • One of the only games with soul and character.

  • FUCK XBOX , PS3 , WII

Nintendo 64 With Mario 64 ftw and I will always love this amazing game! Thank you Mario for giving me so fun times when i was young. I will never never never forget this game!!!

  • @SuperXXxOliver Wii is amazing the ones that suck are the PS3 and Xbox

  • Comment removed

  • Some people complain that this has dislikes. But, though they may have different opinions, those who came here to put their thumb down haven't come back in over 9 months.

  • My grandpa bought me a N64 when I was little and this game came along with it. When I began playing it, I love the game so much, I didn't wanted to put my controller down for one bit! The level, the bosses, secret places, man how much I used to enjoy them! When my N64 broke a few years later when I was around in the 5th grade, I was disappointed but when this game was in the Vitural Console on the Wii, I immediantly bought the game and let me tell you, the memories of playing this game came back

  • Go away damn FPSs, I want platformers back!

  • @Randomaited Agreed!

  • i swear i was the happiest when i was a kid and this was the final chapter of my childhood, then my n64 broke, my life has just gone down hill from there. T_T

  • *cries* great song.

  • Das ist doch so'n Kirchenlied

  • @grendo45 Was? xD Nein.

  • Why am I an adult?

  • @ImaginaryQuack It doesn't matter. Just keep playing! I do so now and then and I still tear up a little when I hear this song...

  • @AmeagLuz His comment was a joke...

  • Comment removed

  • @GamingsCupofJoe Yes...? It doesn't matter. Just keep playing;P

  • @AmeagLuz You obviously have a bad sense of humor

  • Don't cry...

    Dont Cry...

    *looks down, sees mario plushie*

    T_T

  • @iwanabrawl Now you're going to get me going as well...

  • This was the first game I beat, and this one is the saddest song i've ever heard in a videogame. When I was a child I wanted to cry.

  • Nintendo for life screw Sony and Xbox the classicness is here!!!

  • Good memories

  • EPIC GAME OF WHOLE TIME thumps up if you just love the old games of super mario :D

  • I wanna cry at 0:54 What a good memories! :')

  • Brings back soo many memories, especially from 1:11 :')

  • This make me sad ever time that I get to the end and the music

  • 9 people ran out of tears

  • Oh God the tears, no. :')

  • Mario. There is no need for thanking us for playing your game. We should thank you for changing our lives, and making a childhood memory a reality. And you too Nintendo. Thank you. :)

  • @StarDroid01 What a coincidence, every time I beat the game and he says "thank you so much for playing my game" I always thought "no Mario THANK YOU!"

  • ahhh...this songs so sad. makes me wanna cry, but also remember the good times

  • @kingcorville You know you've been part of a special game when you feel sad at the end.

  • @707username707 I FEEL YOU ON THAT ONE DAWG......AND MARIO......"THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR LETTING ME PLAY-A, YOUR GAME!!!"

  • those memories will never be forgotten

  • No Mario, Thank YOU for being such an awesome Childhood memory.

  • *cries*

  • Looks like you've got

    *puts on sunglasses*

    STAFF ROLLED

    YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!

  • Let's all bake a delicious cake.

  • 9 people like COD better than mario 64

  • T-T I remember everyone at daycare went quit when I beat the game for the first time there we all (including the staff) just sat and watched and listened...I was the first to beat it there (yes I went to daycare till i was like 10 and they had an N64)

  • thank-a you so much for-a playing my game

  • my childhoodd ;n;

I suddenly remembered, that when I first beat this game, I literally cried.

  • I'm not crying...there's something in my eye.... <:'(

  • @31operafan it's called nostalgia my friend, I'm not crying either, I'm just blinking a lot so water came down from my eyes =')

  • @Avanomi good question

  • Hearing this song makes me feel happy this game ever existed.

  • It feels great to come back and play this game again. I played 100% through each world before going to the next, so by the time I was nearly done with the dungeon worlds, I had 70 stars and got the message to fight Bowser. Accumulating so many stars so quickly and then slowly fighting my way through the much harder levels above still gives me a huge sense of accomplishment to this day. I'll miss you Mario...

  • @Nannerz12 That is... so inspiring.

  • @stealthlead Haha, thank you, thank you.

  • KA must stand for Kick-Ass.

  • this song made me cry when i heard it

  • I don't care what anyone says...Video games are my life.

  • I fucking want mario 3ds nowwww....

  • @TheBiggamer64 It isn't even out yet, haha:3.

  • @AmyChristinaMUSIC yeah I know. I'm just so stoked for it.

  • @TheBiggamer64 Ah, same. I'm just a bit unimpressed since it looks so much like Super Mario Galaxy. Wish they had a more classic feel D:

  • @AmyChristinaMUSIC Well it was made by the Galaxy team, right? But yeah I get you.

  • @TheBiggamer64 Ah, true D: but still, at least they have some of the items from previous games ^,^

  • @AmyChristinaMUSIC exactly. Tanooki suit FTW!!

  • @AmyChristinaMUSIC

And other people think it's too much like the classics.

I think it's an amazing combination of both.

  • Dang does this piece bring back memories! Thank you for posting it!!!

  • wow brings back childhood for me :)

  • I gladly threw out my copy of CoD 3 to this song. It was the single greatest thing I have ever done, and will ever do. Even if I become a multi-billionaire CEO of the largest company in existance, I will never have achieved anything greater than tossing out the "Hardcore". Sure, I play Team Fortress 2. I don't play it often, and am looking forward to Super Mario 3D Land more than anything else. More than getting a job or my own house. I'm serious. FPS will be gone in 5 years. Nintendo is forever

  • @E3kHatena well im gladd you did that because i played COD once in my life and I was like... FUCK THAT I NEED SOME MARIO!XD

  • @E3kHatena FPS will not be gone in 5 years, just putting out there. But Nintendo is forever, and Mario will always have the highest pedestal in my heart and mind.

  • @E3kHatena FPS will be here a long time, but I'm with you by saying that Nintendo is timeless, most of their games can be enjoyed anywhere at anytime. Just wish they put some of that Nintendo magic in Galaxy and Galaxy 2 =/

  • @E3kHatena

I agree: FPS generally sucks... There is already enough violence in the real world as it is. Playing games should be an escape (at least, temporarily) from that sort of shit. Why the fuck would you like to pretend you're in the middle of a conflict being fought for the benefit of a few billionaires?

  • @E3kHatena While I do enjoy a good FPS now and then (good call on TF2), I too had a deep respect for Nintendo. I doubt FPS will be gone in a few years (if at any point before video games cease to exist, which I doubt will ever happen), though I do hate most of them.

But even Team Fortress can't quite capture the magic of good ol' Nintendo. SM64 is my favourite game of all time (first game I ever played, too), and I imagine it will be for quite some time to come.

  • @E3kHatena Wow. I'm serious, I get tears while reading that and listening to this :'D

  • @E3kHatena what you're saying is beautiful. i love you my friend :)

  • @E3kHatena you probably won't care, but it just happens that cod 3 is considered the worse in the series.... not that it really matters :)

  • @E3kHatena spoken like a true gamer....

  • @E3kHatena The only thing I hate more than people acting like FPS games are the best thing ever are those acting like it's the worst. FPS is here to stay, but so are all the other great games. Goldeneye is one of my favorite childhood games and so is this classic 64 title.

Battlefield 3 to Super Mario 3D Land, I love all videogames that I enjoy.

  • @E3kHatena Guess what. You might have not heard, and if you haven't, you'll be extra excited for SM3DL. New power up. Boomerang Flower. :3 And playable luigi. Also, weird cosmic clone returns. Instead of being shaded red, they're purple.

  • @E3kHatena amen bro

  • @E3kHatena actually i like FPS i'm not one of those MARIO SUCKS FPS FOREVER guys but i still think thay're fun... but i grew- er sorta grew up with mario starfox and zelda... but i'm 14 and i'm always stuck listensing to my friends going "CoD is the best" or "battle field FTW" then i mention the 64 and all of a sudden they remember those games for a split second and for a few minutes cod battlefield and all other games forced down our throat and into our game consols dont exsist

  • *Back When I Passed This Game For 1st Time, Was Around 9 Years Old*

Me: "Yay I Finished The Game!"

Peach: "C'mon Everyone, Let's Go Bake A Delicious Cake...................For Mario"

Me: "I Wonder If The'll Show Them Eating?"

(After Credits) Mario: "Thank You So Much For-A Playing In My Game"

(Sees Peach and Mario Standing On The Cake)

    Me: O_O

  • Thanks for play my game!! ~

We never forget you, mario! ;D

  • I want to be a little child...NOW!

the time was so great... no problems everything was so easy... and now? school or the job.. no time for the beatiful things in the life..like super mario 64 or something else... :(

  • My funeral song. :D I'll have 'em play video and images of my life. :D

  • Best soundtrack in video game history.

  • Only true fans cried with this theme, reliving every bit of the journey they and mario crossed together...silently nodding to oneself and waiting for the sequel...Which, in my own personal opinion, they havent really given us yet. I want a mario game where it's just that. Mario and an expansive world. No FLUDD, no little planets. Just mario and a whole bunch of levels of mushroom variety..

  • "Thank you so much-a for a-playin ma game!"

  • For people with background in gaming.

  • this song made me cry so hard the first time i heard it.... i love this game

  • Youtube asks me what my reaction to this video is? What can I say? The two words that are in the list that i could use are incredible or classic. What about Breath taking? I am 15, and i still get emotional when I hear this. Kojo Kondo did an amazing job with this piece. The game in and of itself is amazing. I still play it today. I grew up with a N64. im a big xbox fan, but my favorite games are on the N64. N64 had the best games of all time. I know it

  • the n64 is in my oppinion the peak of nintendo's greatness. all of the best games like SM64, Banjo-Kazooie, DK64, stuff like that. as well as the gamecube wasn't half bad and even today wii still get a masterpiece or two like okami or the SM galaxy series. nintendo is literaly the king of gaming (in game sales and quality) and hopefully always will be.

  • @DumDum5551 I agree. When I look at the systems before and after the N64, I just can't find anything that has such a large library of games drenched in originality and fun. Nintendo was the company that saved the gaming industry, and, as long as the company has the geniuses that have been there since day one, they'll always be the best.

  • When I beaten the game, I thought I'm a credit to team. But then, this year pops up with it's hardcore crap. I put on my Mario cap, and think to myself...It's time to kick some Koopa ass and chew bubble gum.

  • Listening to Mario thanking you at the end of the game is the same as saying goodbye to a good friend. This song brings me to tears.

  • @safetyboots

    Safety Boots

    (from Golden Sun?)

  • @safetyboots i think the same as you, curse you dad, for buying a ps3, well at least it's his console, not mine, i had a NES which my dad gave to some friend for his son, i had a SNES which is now on the hands of my lil' cousin, i had a N64 which was stolen from me, and i have a GCN, which 'til now it's mine and i have it since 2003, and i love it....and if you want to count it, my lil' cousin also has a Wii, so yes you can say all Nintendo official storyline has passed while I grew up

  • in portal and on, the cake was a lie, in sm64 on and after portal, the cake was the truth, and it still is

  • This is the greatest game of all time!!!!!!! too many memories in this game...not just memories of me playing but memories of how life use to be back in the late 90's T_T

  • @nintendude57 Exactly. It's amazing how video games have these affects on us. I remember things being just incredible as a kid. People seemed to be happier in the 90's.
