I dunno. Giving the fastest thing alive a piece of razor sharp metal to wield while he runs at the speed of sound is... actually pretty dang deadly. And cool.
it sounds good in theory, but, seriously, when was the last time sonic team have pulled off a gimmick properly? the ONLY one I can remember at all is the dual play on Sonic Advance 3, and even that was a bit questionable. the speed and sword concept sounds good, but for it to be nice, they would have to make the swordplay move both seamlessly with the speed and not feel tacked on. and judging by what has come out in the past 5 years, unless dimps is helping out, it is going to feel weak.

haha... but SEGA can't make any more good sonic games, the only people with a chance are Dimps, so more of this rubbish is to come.
