If you can't understand these lyrics it's likely because you don't like this kind of poetic music (as I can see from your examples). Ryan adams is a writer in a musicians mindset. even if i didn't like his beautiful melodies i would still listen to his music for the stories. it's like hearing your favorite story with an amazing soundtrack. he always puts me right in the scene and paints a mental image in my head that stays with me the whole day...when people say words are powerful they are right! puts me right in the story better than any movie
