  • Even when broken, a sword may still cut

  • FOR THE GREATER GOOD!!!

The fire caste serves WITH PRIDE!! (not fried)

  • the tau are something between catholic church and communism(not real marxism). the "lower class" is brainwashed and supressed- beeing told false ideals so that the individuals mind is preoccupied with "doing whats best for all/THE greater good". the caste system is just a tool for the ethereals to stay rulers without thier motives beeing questioned. simple as that. because: the world in 40k is really no different than the real world when it comes to politics/military.

  • @dipidulor the ironic is that the Tau are the only 40k race (except for the nyds) that doesn't have gods

  • Greater Good

  • 1 Person did not successfully join the Greater Good. Must be an ork.

  • One of the few armies in the 40k tabletop game who don`t even need vehicles in their list to utterly pwn shit.(yep, there ARE no-vehicle Tau lists and they kick ass)

    Insane firepower.

  • this is japanese army!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ima Proud Gue' vesa :D

  • "Prosper, as Tau shall"

Probably the most optimistic quote ever of 40k... And for you all guys out there:

    "Prosper, as Man shall" ;D

  • @kanenash no!!!like o'kais said-shas 'o ready to take command!

  • The Tau are actually pretty naive, when one of their worlds were attacked by Necrons, A hive fleet of tyranids fought them off, so the Tau invited the tyranid hive fleet to a banquet.

  • @TheMooseofBattle Where did you hear about this? I though I read it somewhere before but I've never been able to trace back the source

  • @sanninjiraiya I think it was somewhere in the Tyranid codex.

  • @TheMooseofBattle Just looked it up, it's indeed in the Tyranids codex, P21 to be precise. The Necrons were the ones that fought of the Tyranids and were then invited to a banquet, though, not the other way around.

    Your point remains though.

  • @AeciustheQuetzatol Ya imagine that a race trying to be civil :P

  • I can see them coming! Battle suits armed to the teeth, floating vehicles with missiles, warriors coming upon us with guns firing blue projectiles! Emperor save us!

Last words of an unknown Guardsman.

  • THe Tau are an honourable race

THey fight for reason and peace for all

except ofr chaos and maybe the orks

  • @haloman4311: They fight to gain power. What you say is just what they tell others and their lower class idiots to make them willing cannon fodder. Anyways, they are cowards, despising melee fight and loving camouflage.

  • Are you saying that modern military tactics are "coward tactics"? Because those two things (ranged combat and camouflage) are the base of any modern army. If you ask me, I think that human armies of the far future would be more similar to the Tau rather than to the Space Marines....

  • Thats certainly right. But combining brainless machism with imperial propaganda or rather orcish brutality and stupidity thats a point of view ;)

  • That is not what the Aun believe. That is not Nervmichblossnet, that is not what the Aun believe. that is not what the people believe. They know that they are disadvantaged, but they know that they have brother in arms with their allies. They will continue to fight for the greater good.

  • What? Are you saying Chaos and Orks fight for reason and peace? xD

  • Its like a weird mix of asian and north african music

  • As a Tau player both in the PC games and on the tabletop, it annoys me when people say that the Tau are weak and naive.

I would disagree. The Tau are fair, giving their enemies one chance to join them, and if it worsens then the Tau DECISIVELY AND FORCEFULLY kick ass.

There is nothing kind and innocent about them... the Tau are just as badass as the other armies, they're also better at hiding their crimes...

  • Plus their hats are awesome

  • no, actually they arent, thats one thing i dont like about 40k is how powerful the space marines are compared to the other races. and they are fairly weak if you dont know how to play them, but if you can play tau good then they are a pretty formidable army but for example 3 firewarrior squads a squad of pathfinders and an ethereal make up a bad army, but if you have an army based around vehicles rather than infantry it can go well.

  • @azaptyE: I dont think their HATS are ment to be a symbol for their strength in battle :P

  • Yeah, The WH40k games for the pc are poorly balanced. :P

  • no i mean that every race except for chaos, orks, Necrons and Dark Eldar fight for peace.

(I forgot to add Necrons and Dark Eldar

  • The Ethereals just need to wait another Apostasy of the Imperium, wich is muuuch likely, then ERASE those selfish and superstitious humans- if they are so stupid to not accept the obviously better Greater Good.

  • We were left behind by the imperium and the emperor ignored our prayers for salvation. The Tau took us into their society and gave us a chance to serve the greater good. We Gue'vesa are not heretics, we see ourselves has a enlightened humanity unselfish and humble. We are all working towards the greater good. Gue'vesa Commander.

  • What do you mean?

  • The Tau army is my favourite in DoW.

  • The Ultramarines of the IoM actually allied with the Tau.

  • against what? tyranids?

  • Against Necrons. They were originally fighting each other when the Necrons suddenly popped up. The Ultramarines were apparently impressed by the Fire Warriors and they let the Tau evacuate before conducting Exterminatus.

Then decades down the line the Ultramarines kicked the Tau's collective asses from a nearby system, which just goes to prove the Imperum's motto is "The enemy of my enemy is the next to die."

  • well at least they gave them a couple decades to get their shit together

  • the imperium should ally with both the eldar and the tau, then launch a massive crusade to rid the galaxy of chaos, orks, dark eldar and tyrranids for all eternity.

  • and necrons ?

  • Such an alliance would not last long. After defeating the others, the IoM would turn on those Xeno filth.

  • @ibeatcodin1day Unfortunatley, this is impossible due to the Imperium's xenophobia and the Eldar's Arrogance.

  • Can you buy this on a soundtrack disc? Where'd you get it?

  • T for Tau, T for tolerance, technology, tranquility and tactics.

  • The theme for the tau is a kind of Asian Imperialistic kind of music, which in my case is very relaxing to listen to (a.k.a. good song)

  • Long live the great Tau, where ever they may be. Hey, I wonder if in the future Mankind will encounter races like the Tau? Sounds a bit odd, but like some I believe in other sentient life forms other than on Earth, and the possibilities are quite high, I mean they did find some interesting stuff on Mars already.

  • Yeah nice Asian music!!!

  • im a tau collector and ive got everything in that pic (exept the broadsides, but i do have 4 crisis suits and one of them is a commander)

and ive got the 2 hammerheads + sky ray

  • THE TAU ; WE SHALL TRIUMPH !

  • the tau are the best

  • Greater Good!

  • Great Song
