STOP YOUR BITCHING! The Queers ALWAYS made songs like this from the VERY beginning. Look up "fuck this world" and "True to you" and "Burger King Queen" and "Debra Jean". "Riot on heroin" isnt the ONLY kind of music they played/play. They ARE and ALWAYS HAVE been a bubble gum poppy punk band. They make fun punk rock and i for one love it WAY more than the angry hardcore punk.
it's funny they won't play any poppy stuff live. they've been recording stuff like this for years but they always play late 80's/early 90's hardcore stuff at their shows..like that stuff too but they have so many good songs like this
So, everyone's here not knowing who really sang/wrote this song?
God...
Respecting all those who love this version, I'm gonna give my opinion and say...
NO, JUST NO...
The leading vocals here sound... dunno... so fake, maybe? You know, as if this was remixed on a computer and they weren't really singing together with their voices perfectly fitting...
The original was, is, and will always be the best. I loved the electric guitar and the BS homage here though
You know, as if this was remixed on a computer and they weren't really singing together with their voices perfectly fitting... >> well, i guess this is what usually happens when recording an album... unless it's a "live in studio" album. :° did you think bands always play the whole album together? :° once i thought so! :°D
@inettoavivere they used to. a lot of Minor Threat and The Toy Guns were recorded straight to tape, all of the band members were playing in one room. being a "live studio album". But it was a tape recording, hah, sounds like shit on all of our fancy playing equipment now-a-days. But it still sounds the best when played loudly.
what? the queers SUCK balls since they went all beach boys. what the hell happened to a one time decent punk band? how do you get from riot on heroin to this slushy cheese? im going to kill myself.
so few people realize this is a banana splits song, and that the queers are a bubblegum band. real punks dig bubblegum, so get hip kiddies, love is now!
this is about as bad as queers bubblegum gets. love songs and munki blow this out of the water
