I love youtube but hate the haters who somehow manage to post on every video. This is pretty neat. I've owned and used firearms for over 30 years now but as laws here get more stringent I find alternatives to firearms interesting. This weapon resembles a repeating crossbow used centuries ago. I like the weapon and I liked the video. I'd hate to post all the pistols I've put tritium sights on simply because I like them. We put lights on our keychains, why question them on anything else?
I don't think people realise "Don't Feed The Troll" actually works, in this case we've served Tina up a nice double-English breakfast with the works - just let it slide guys, appreciate how badass this crossbow is and stop having to respond to someone not worth the time nor effort.

hello to the maker: why don't use the same mechanism, as one of those old rifle: Henry Repeating Rifle i think that is what is called.... this mechanism beats having to remove your hand from the trigger for every shot.

omg awesome. i love bows but they aren't ideal for home defense (hard to get a full draw in a stairway) hows the lethality/depth of this thing? if it goes as deep as other cross bows (pretty much all the way through foam box targets) i'd consider buying one.
@shyla669 i perfer a spear for home defense, but a small crossbow like this would be ideal. a bow, no way, just not practical, a full size crossbow maybe not. but a pistol crossbow, yes! i have the plastic version of what this guy has, made a stock for it, and its still quite small, drawing the bow is quite easy as well. its best not to fight face to face, if you can get some distance between you and the attacker, more advantage for you.

@palspalao pistols are too loud, would attracted them, plus you can run out of ammo quickly. you can use arrows over and over again, and you can even make your own ones if you need to.

He is doing all three and as he is not trying to recreate a historic weapon there is no defence. He is making something that could not be legally sole in the UK so is outside the law.

@shyla669 i perfer a spear for home defense, but a small crossbow like this would be ideal. a bow, no way, just not practical, a full size crossbow maybe not. but a pistol crossbow, yes! i have the plastic version of what this guy has, made a stock for it, and its still quite small, drawing the bow is quite easy as well. its best not to fight face to face, if you can get some distance between you and the attacker, more advantage for you.

@eldongb1 For starters mate a crossbow as a weapon of defence is a bit of a joke. If you look at medieval weapons tomes the crossbow is not considered a weapon of defence. Secondly I took your comment about mugging as a joke. As it was somewhat ridiculous as a serious comment. I have had three people try to mug me over the last few years. I live in Croydon in London and have been attacked at work, lots, I drive buses. On not one of thoughts actions would a crossbow have been worth anything.

@tina6581 Hahaha - they also used wood bolts and didn't have REPEATER crossbows in medievil times. They also thought leeches were a cure-all. Maybe if your aim sucks you can't defend yourself, but I could take down or at least deter 3-5 average guys with one I think. I live in Texas so muggers aren't as common with all the armed citizens. The last guy I knew that told me someone tried to mug him and steal his car- shot the guy in the face. Crossbow's better'n nothin'.

I mean just because a child can hit a target from 20-30 feet(10 meters) away doesn't mean everybody could do it hard enough to pierce flesh 15-20 feet away. And to do so I looked at multiple laws about firearms and even came across ones from other countries. I also talked to multiple police officers at the local station, 2 of which were from the UK, and they said things like this are ok because they would come under the same class as a bb/air gun. It was multiple professionals stating FACTS about the laws they enforce on a daily basis.
