  • guys i no LCA has took lot of time but it has improved with time and soon it will be in IAF. wo kehte hai na , sabar ka fal mitha ho ta hai.

  • I do agree , it is the smallest jet fighter ever. But it is shit. I think India can do better than that?????

  • India’s attempt at indigenous production of weapons has been a colossal failure the likes of which do not exist in the annals of military history. India’s failed LCA is the stuff made for jokes around military headquarters from Brussells to Moscow to Beijing to Washington. India has been trying to produce a plane called the LCA. After a decade of design, Delhi has failed to produce a fully operational plane. The project is years away from its completion.

  • ADA has taken v.long to develop the LCA. A 25years lead time to develop a fighter aircraft is unrealistic.IAF was never enthusiastic about inducting LCA.The aircraft's combat performance was dismal and so was its weapon load and Engine problem. Its high pressure hydraulic system was prone to frequent failures and its engine & a fly-by-wire system has serious defects. During its prototype tests the LCA prototypes were grounded for many months on many occasions. It has failed in many flight tests.

  • What did Indian Air Force (IAF) achieve in twenty six years while consuming over $2 billion? the answer to that is Zilch; Zero; Nada; Nothing – except a failed project and a continued embarrassment in the shape ‘Tejas’. Tejas LCA (Light Combat Aircraft, also known as LAST CHANCE AIRCRAFT) has gone many trials and tests and there’s no sign of induction as yet. It has now been announced to enter IAF in 2015. almost a failed project.

  • @flanker35su As for as LCA is concerned its a piece of junk, India is a country whose every indigenous project ended in failure with the waste of thousands of failed hours. Now india wants to induct LCA as soon as possible in IAF even with its limited capability and defects just to save its FACE. IAF has decide to induct 20 LCAs by 2017 with limited capability & these 20 will be even less capable then MiG21 Bison.India is repeating the same story of arjun and Murat.

  • 1. LCA cant even pull more than 17 degrees AOA meaning it has a limited angle of attack JF-17 can pull the same amount as a F-16.

    2. LCA isn't even for all weathers recently in an airshow in India in 2009 LCA wasn't able to take off in rain.

    3. Its too costly meaning its no longer a replacement for ur flying coffins.

    4. It has been 27 years and u only have produced 6 prrototypes (the longest aviation project in history).

  • @Askywarrior India's 25-year-old Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) programme, delayed by more than a decade, continues to be plagued by serious technical uncertainties and cost overruns, according to India 's Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG).

A new CAG report states in 2010 that the LCA's development by the Aeronautical Development Agency, which is funded by the Defence Research and Development Organisation, is "beset with delays for almost every vital component of the aircraft".

  • And between LCA and JF-17 there is comparison between a flying eagle (JF-17) and a baby (LCA) sitting in its nest (from last 10 years) and waiting for fly (become operational). Please fist make it operational and then try to compair it with any one else.

  • @chnasirnazir Our armed forces accept only the best. For years Arjun was villified and now it has outran and outgunned T-90. LCA is going to be operational by the end of the year and when it does it will be world class. Not like whatever chinese junk you can get you take- as they call J(unk) F(ighter) 17!!

  • @sumanbasu I have seen a video of iaf airforce chief on youtube saying that LCA will be operational in 2015. will i think if it is not true then it is ur internal matter. and we are listing since 1998 that LCA is becoming operational next year. we are still waiting for that next year. still i would say how could you compair it with a fully operational one.

  • @chnasirnazir Yes 2015 for LCA MK II. In 1998 no one said its going to be operational next year, the maiden flight was on 2002, so better check your facts. India conducted nuke tests and Pak just blasted a few nuke warheads they already had. There is a hell lot of difference between these two if you understand what I mean. India's hydrogen bombs were questioned not the atom bombs. India has never started a preemptive war and hope it never will. It is only your collective paranoia and jiongism.

  • You are right but in J10-B they are using another engine made in china. Well over all engine is not a big a deal. and we have no problem to but engines from china and even now France and UK has offered their engines. Every one has right to buy the best. Same what u r doing coz the same wikkipedia also stated that "In mid-2004, the Kaveri failed its high-altitude tests in Russia, ending the last hopes of introducing it with the first production Tejas aircraft".

  • @chnasirnazir You are hilarious man!! Engine is the biggest deal in a fighter aircraft and that is why those are so jealously guarded by the companies that make it!! Once you buy stuff from others and assemble it does not remain an indigenous effort. Our plan was to build the engine on our own from the beginning and that is why we got delayed. This is just a stopgap solution and their is hardly anything for you to feel happy. For China has failed there too.

  • @chnasirnazir Ok so down from J 10 to JF 17 now. We dont need anything futuristic to counter JF 17 - our second tier fighters can take those on.

  • @sumanbasu First indian Govt. said that their pilots entered in PAK airspace by mistake but when they came to know that it was JF-17 which locked their SU30 they take a U turn and said they there was no such incident happened. He He He…

  • @sumanbasu IAF first tire fighters SU30 couldn’t face JF-17 when in January 2009 (after mubai attack) they entered in PAK airspace from Lahore and 1 JAF-17 and 1 F7-PG intercept them and locked them and within no time SU30 runaway back in Indian airspace. Watch videos on YouTube.

  • @chnasirnazir IAF 2nd tire aircrafts those are known as flying coffins… First IAF need to learn how to maintain aircrafts and then they could develop some thing. That’s Why they are working and LCA since 1980 and till working… and their aircraft is known as world wide LCA (LAST CHANCE AIRCRAFT).

  • @chnasirnazir Thats another story that only you pakis believe!! Just like the story of our defense minister threatening your predident with war and all.

  • @sumanbasu There is no story…. Videos are availble on YouTube that how PAF Eagles encounter IAF Vultures… and yes india always threaten Pakistan and even bring its whole army on Pakistani borders but never get courage to take even a single step in Pakistan coz some one from Pakistan simply remove the curtain from Nuke and Indian coward army get back in their bunkers. Lolz.. now don’t say that it is a story again. lolz

  • @chnasirnazir ohh ok!! I am sorry, I didn't know you already have movies on this, that too on youtube!! Why not try for an Oscar?? War films are in vogue!! India has never threatened Pakistan. Its Pakistan that attacked India time and again. Pray God that we don't have to start again like we had to in 1971. If we start something we finish it. Live in your dream land of coward bania hindu and valiant martial muslim. Reality bites too hard.

  • @sumanbasu In 1999 and then again in 2002 and then later in 2009 it was indian who brought his army on border and then took them back. Bro I believe that in future indian will never attack on Pakistan coz they know that Pakistan is always ready to use it Nukes.

  • @chnasirnazir 1999 was Kargil, 2002 was parliament attack, 2009 Mumbai carnage!! I guess you dont see enough reason for India to take a military posture!! After all your great leader Zaid Hamid already said Mumbai carnage was done by RAW!!

  • @sumanbasu India want four nukes to wipe PAK and those are with india where as PAK want 15 nukes to wipe india from Delhi to Calcutta and PAK have more then 15. So no more war between Pak and India and since Pakistan has nukes indian has attempted many times to attack on Pakistan but as we shows our nukes all war activities stopped within a minuet.

  • @chnasirnazir If we want to take you on we would take out your nuclear arsenal first. Don't you think it would be foolish to show where your nukes are, considering we have satelites to track it? If what you said if true, then just by posturing we know already where your nukes are and that would be a good dividend for posturing.

  • @sumanbasu I think if india could track and destroy the nukes of PAK then india could have done it year ago. Indian scientest has said many times on media that nukes test of india was not up to the mark in 1998. I am sure about quality but i am sure that nukes on both sides are so secure as americans' and russian.

  • @chnasirnazir About security, I am quite certain about India. About Pakistan, I hope your confidence has some ground to stand on.

  • @chnasirnazir why are you waisting your time in this discussion. it is obvious that there is no comparison between a confused one and a fully operational one.

  • LCA - The Last Chance Aircraft

I don't think so it will ever come out from its testing phase. Still struggling with its Engine and Fly By Wire system.

  • @chnasirnazir as if your chinese overlord's could make their fighter engines on their own!! get ur facts stright - ur chinese built fighters run on Russian/Ukrainian engines

  • @sumanbasu No doubt we are using American, Russian and Chinese made engines but we are fully aware of our needs and demands and come out with a solution. We are not confused that’s way we came up with this plan within 7 years of research with our friend (China). And every one knows that for LCA France and israel is helping india. So what what’s wrong if we are talking help from China???

  • @chnasirnazir No you are not. If you were, then you would not have been jumping in air about the fighters provided by China.

What we are trying to do is technological development and what you are doing is assemble parts. Following your logic Su 30 MKI would be a completely Indian made fighter. Although modified for our needs, we do recognize that it is not our indigenous effort and we dont claim it too. And its only you Pakistanis claim LCA has french and israeli help.

  • @chnasirnazir The fact is, French offer to help has been denied. Just because LCA has a delta wing it is not made with French help and just because israeli radar or jammer might be used in the aircraft doesn't amount to israeli help. Its only a mind that believes the 5 fighter in 30 second kind of stuff can conjure and/or accept such a fairy tale.

  • @sumanbasu When we said that only Pakistan made JF-17? Where ever it is promoted it is promoted as PAK-CHINA co-produced JF-17. And Bro shooting 5 IAF in 1 minuet by PAF is available every where on net even in Wikipedia. It is also available on Youtube in World’s best dog fight. And I read it on Youtube posted by some Indian guy that Israil is helping IAF in developing LCA’s avionics and France in Engine.

  • @chnasirnazir Co-produced JF-17!! So what did you produce ? the paints? Manuals written in urdu? Not even your dad China can produce 4.5 genration fighter aircraft engines. That has been my point from the beginning and you couldn't counter that. Don't bring those ludicrous 5 fighters in 1 min stories. In the world only pakistanis believe that could be possible. I guess you also believe it is possible to pull yourself by your bootstraps.

  • @sumanbasu China is producing thier own engin for J10. Check wikkipedia. PAF will be using the same engine in JF-17 and we know that u try to influnce ur god (russia) not to deliver the engines to China for reexporting it to PAK but they show you thier.... and we admit that we made our plan incooperation with other countries not like you who is using a complete product range of russia and even unable to maintain it and talking about developing ur own. lolz

  • @chnasirnazir I hope wikipedia doesn't have a different version in pakistan. This is to quote wiki about Chengdu J 10

"The J-10 is powered by a single Russian Lyulka-Saturn AL-31FN turbofan engine giving a maximum static power output of 12,500 kgf (123 kN, 27,600 lbf)).... he AL-31FN was initially expected to be replaced by a domestic powerplant developed and manufactured in China, the WS-10A (WoShan-10A) Taihang turbofan, giving a thrust of 129 kN (13,200 kgf or 29,101 lbf). contd.

  • @chnasirnazir contd. However, given the poor quality of the engine and other development difficulties[36][37], the PLAAF is reluctant to integrate the WS-10 onto the aircraft."

So their goes your source and your hollow chest thumping. And about maintainance - keeping fleet grounded and hushing the crash reports won't change the truth.

  • @sumanbasu And Bro we have one fully operation squadron of JF-17 and 2nd will be ready by end f this year and where is your LCA?? So you can’t compare a flying eagle with a baby sitting in his nest.

  • @sumanbasu And of course we have fighters from USA and China. We have F-16 A/B/Block 52 from USA and F-7 and A-5 from China and Mirage III and V from France. And jointly made JF-17 and from 2012 to onward we will be having J-10B also known as FC-20.

And regarding LCA there is a video on Youtube in which and IAF official saying that hopefully Tejas will be available to IAF by 2015. Now if that person is wrong then what can say coz its your internal matter.

  • @chnasirnazir I am really shocked that you consider youtube as your source!! Might take the pains to read about LCA in wikipedia, which has a lil better sources sighted!! 2015 is for Tejas Mark2, with GE 414IN or EuroJet EJ200 engines (which these companies are eager to sell to us).

  • @sumanbasu - and Further more PAF engineering staff is v.well trained to maintain their aircrafts and that’s way there is no flying coffin in PAF.

  • Can we compare Tejas with MIG29 or F16

  • Why the fuk is it not out yet???

  • that looks awesome to me......the moves were well done just like any other advanced fighter jet in the world.

  • Its small, has short wing span, fitted with all good air-air missiles such as ASTRA, R73-77, is economical, costs almost half of MIGS, 2000 kms without refuelling, speed of 1.9 MACH and will be serving in the NAVY as well.

Cons are that airforce was not happy with maneuverability, but overall performance was satisfactory according to IAF standards.

Considering its only first one that India build, its not bad, infact its world class.

  • This one is our hope, as it was designated to secure our borders. This was produced as small one for easy maintenance and for quick reaction time same time with high tech, which is very much needed for any nation to secure their borders with air superiority. Its primary responsibility is to save our land, whereas MCA will do deep penetration inside pak to destroy their defense and bust them.

  • at least we have conducted over 900 tests , plus it's the backbone of our air force and can still match F-16 and FC-1 . Not even our air superiority aircraft.

  • awesome !!

  • Whatever the people may say, But our "Baby" (LCA Tejas), not only has got the looks but also the power and talent. It will bring more pride and honor to its Mother-India. Just wait and watch, let this Baby of ours grow and mature a bit more....very soon the World will hear it ROARING and RULING the Skies........

  • Just look at It. Isn't it awesome. Things like these really makes me a proud Indian. Tejas, in here with its smooth flight and exceptional maneuverability looks like the "King" of Skies. On the other hands watching it making its moves and taking turns seems as Pleasing, Peaceful and Refreshing as flying a Kyte. I wish, If someday, I could make into its cockpit and relish its flight....
