@harvum we got on well with them. had them for about 25 years. get little problems. a few of my friends have changed to jcb in the last couple of year though.
@dairyUA . just make sure we put the straw in first. it comes out well mixed through no matter what we put in. you just have to make sure you put the lightest material in first, other wise it just sits on top. these are great machines for feeding cattle.
@newhollandthebest we generaly feed silage to younger smaller cattle that have come of the grass to fatten. then we up the amount of barley and cut out the silage. All mix`s have 1 wheat straw round bale in them.
gd vid, whats the manitou hanlder like U always had manitou's?

I'm suprised your mix feeds evenly? without the dry corn coming out before the straw? You don't need anything moist to bind it together?

So that is how beef cattle are raised over there? Here our cows (beef) never go under a barn except to go in the catch pen (corral).
CountryBoy720 9 months ago
nice video, why would you feed them wheat straw instead of silage may i ask?
friesiancowboy 10 months ago
@friesiancowboy wheat straw is readly avalable, also we find the cattle finnish better (dead weight percentage).
