I see people are getting hyped about drawing someone upside down. I do this at times, but mainly with larger piece when I am sitting down and at the bottom level of the drawing. It's really no more hard then drawing the subject rightside up. Well, not to me anyway. Nice drawing btw.

you guys may not believe me, but when you draw a picture upside down, you are more likely to get your drawing close to perfect, when you draw a picture ride side up, you are drawing with the left side of your brain which sees the picture how it is, when you draw a picture upside down, you are using the right side of your brain, which thinks or lines, space and shading, so when you think of it that way, it is easier for some people

@victoriacianciolo Well it's just easier for your right brain to connect.. It's called Right Brain Drawing or something like that, which is a technique to learn how to draw properly, by disconnecting your Left-Side Brain. (Going into a trance if you will)

@victoriacianciolo What I mean is.. If you're drawing a picture right-side up.. You're not nessecarily not in that trance-state. where you have disconnected your left-side brain. :) And only using your Right-side Brain to draw.

@victoriacianciolo It's the other way around. When drawing from reference your right brain tends to fill things in and you end up drawing what you THINK you should see. By turning the reference upside down you make the image unfamiliar so that your right brain can no longer fill things in. The process then becomes analytical as you use your left brain to draw what you DO see rather than what you THINK you see.

No professional draws upside down. It's a way of sucking in fools who think its cool. He is working on vellum, otherwise known as tracing paper. When the paper is pressed down, you can see the image beneath. I'm not knocking the guy's talent, but is his intent to fool ignorant fans into thinking its some special gift? Its simply tracing, and he know's morons like you are obviously gullible.

Whoever this 'artist' is, the piece is obviously traced over a photo or line drawing beneath the tracing paper. Working upside in this method is something any high-school student could do. That's more of an indication of the artist's insecurity than any real talent.
