Saludo na sana ako sa inyo nang sumali kayo sa NCC. Kaya lang nawala ang inyong signature move. From costume hanggang stunts. Putcha walang pinalampas sa routine ng UP.
Signature moves were still in the routine like yung floordance which they merged with the lifts. I think there's no UP part in the routine. FEU has been known for showdon of tosses, maraming flyers and sunud sunod. The lifts were 7 with 2:1 and and iba ang style ng lifts nila from UP. Palaging scorpions and heel stretchings and now nagdagdag ng bow and arrow at yscale. The dances were from UAAP routines. Yung mga pyramids were never before done by UP. therefore its not a UP routine.
and besides, if you haven't any nice thing to say, just keep it to yourself.

COOLTAMY, it's not fair for you to presuppose that every negative comment said about your team comes from a UST SDT fan. Why do you always have to be defensive whenever one states an opinion about your FEUCS. This is actually a good team. If other people say they see some resemblances with costumes or elements previously done by other squads, that's their opinion. It's not their fault they get to notice these things. You know how observant cheerleading fans can be.

This is certainly no mockery but i hope FEU fans would word their comment the way HUGOGUY24 does. The same goes to fans of other squads who just can't practice tact in composing the messages they post. That way, things are discussed in a relatively civilized manner. Some similar threads have become too "pelengke" already. Post a foul message the way COOLTAMY and his many other alternicks do and what you get is a foul message in return.
The term "nanggaya" is actually too strong a word to use because in cheerleading, there's nothing original anymore. Almost everything we see in videos of this type were copied if not inspired by whay's done in the US years back. In Philippine setting however, it's not a question of who "invented" the move. It's about who used the element first, who "owned" it because it is already associtated with a certain squad. Should another squad do it in succeeding competitions, you're branded as copycat.
With this shallow perception of the word "copycat" by some members/fans of the squad, it hinders them from improving and widening their capabilities. How are we gonna be head to head with the US teams if ganito ang mentality? Sa dami ng squads ngayon na nagsulputan, no squad can claim they're original. Pioneer yes, but original no, because in the future im sure gagawin din ng squad niyo yung elements na sinimulan ng ibang squads.
& basing it from d performance, FEU fliers/members do not practice only 1 or 2 skills 4 the sake of d competiton. Dey practice all d tosses from d basic, which is d essence of being an athlete. Wlang special fliers n kaya lang gawin eh mag full twist. Dey practice almost all tosses& tumblings. Advantage s dat dey are versatile, but d disadvantage is d slow progress of the members in learning other difficult elements. Well ds squad is rookie laden so I expect more from dem on d next competition.
Having been a cheerfleading fan since the craze started in the mid-90s I must say this is one decent performance by FEU. This routine has too many things going on, however. I guess what they tried to do is to wow the judges with what they are capable of doing by infusing as many elements as they can in about two minutes. That's understandble. It's still a showdown for crying out loud. The routine however and the execution of the members of the squad lack control and editing. Just my opinion.
Yes I agree with you butuguru..maybe the reason why din they only got 6th place was because there are too many things happening at the same time na hndi nabibigyan ng focus kada stunt or element na gusto nila ipakita.But they're good actually.

My point is mga uste fans lang ang mahilig magsabi na gaya gaya ang certain squad but they're pertaining to the elements of cheerleading/cheerdancing such as tosses, lifts, jumps, pyramids na any squad is not restricted to do just because other squad did it already. Buti sana kung dance at steps ang ginaya. Eh di naman. Yung RTU nga sa ncc naglagay ng part ng FEU routine nung qualifiers, but FEU fans are not making an issue out of it.
This squad is amazing in teh sense that each member dont limit themselves to one or two skills. Each member can be a flier, dancer, lifter and perform tumblings.

what was I thinking posting a comment on this thread? COOLTAMY may brand me "BITTER" again, assuming he knows what the word means. I just hope his vocabulary doesn't limit his vocabulary to the word BITTER alone especially when describing the team he hates and its fans. BITTER BITTER BITTER. that's all I remember when i see his name and his alternicks. The word "BITTER" is almost always present in his comments. Look who's BITTER now.

To the FEU cheering whatever:
Saludo na sana ako sa inyo nang sumali kayo sa NCC. Kaya lang nawala ang inyong signature move. From costume hanggang stunts. Putcha walang pinalampas sa routine ng UP.

Signature moves were still in the routine like yung floordance which they merged with the lifts. I think there's no UP part in the routine. FEU has been known for showdon of tosses, maraming flyers and sunud sunod. The lifts were 7 with 2:1 and and iba ang style ng lifts nila from UP. Palaging scorpions and heel stretchings and now nagdagdag ng bow and arrow at yscale. The dances were from UAAP routines. Yung mga pyramids were never before done by UP. therefore its not a UP routine.

Hindi po split yung sa UP nung 2007. Pangalawa back handspring po ginawa ng iba diyan di back walk na nag switch leg.
And pangatlo wala pang choreography ang UP na triangle na maraming layers of diferent dances.
Pang apat wala pang jumps ang UP na series and yung marami
Pang lima trademark na ng FEU ang maraming flyers na savay sabay hinahagis.
Pang anim walang pyramid na kagaya sa UP.
Pang pito iba ang style ng UP pagdating sa lift.
Therefore di parang
UP ang routine.

COOLTAMY, it's not fair for you to presuppose that every negative comment said about your team comes from a UST SDT fan. Why do you always have to be defensive whenever one states an opinion about your FEUCS. This is actually a good team. If other people say they see some resemblances with costumes or elements previously done by other squads, that's their opinion. It's not their fault they get to notice these things. You know how observant cheerleading fans can be.

This is certainly no mockery but i hope FEU fans would word their comment the way HUGOGUY24 does. The same goes to fans of other squads who just can't practice tact in composing the messages they post. That way, things are discussed in a relatively civilized manner. Some similar threads have become too "pelengke" already. Post a foul message the way COOLTAMY and his many other alternicks do and what you get is a foul message in return.

The term "nanggaya" is actually too strong a word to use because in cheerleading, there's nothing original anymore. Almost everything we see in videos of this type were copied if not inspired by whay's done in the US years back. In Philippine setting however, it's not a question of who "invented" the move. It's about who used the element first, who "owned" it because it is already associtated with a certain squad. Should another squad do it in succeeding competitions, you're branded as copycat.

With this shallow perception of the word "copycat" by some members/fans of the squad, it hinders them from improving and widening their capabilities. How are we gonna be head to head with the US teams if ganito ang mentality? Sa dami ng squads ngayon na nagsulputan, no squad can claim they're original. Pioneer yes, but original no, because in the future im sure gagawin din ng squad niyo yung elements na sinimulan ng ibang squads.

& basing it from d performance, FEU fliers/members do not practice only 1 or 2 skills 4 the sake of d competiton. Dey practice all d tosses from d basic, which is d essence of being an athlete. Wlang special fliers n kaya lang gawin eh mag full twist. Dey practice almost all tosses& tumblings. Advantage s dat dey are versatile, but d disadvantage is d slow progress of the members in learning other difficult elements. Well ds squad is rookie laden so I expect more from dem on d next competition.

Having been a cheerfleading fan since the craze started in the mid-90s I must say this is one decent performance by FEU. This routine has too many things going on, however. I guess what they tried to do is to wow the judges with what they are capable of doing by infusing as many elements as they can in about two minutes. That's understandble. It's still a showdown for crying out loud. The routine however and the execution of the members of the squad lack control and editing. Just my opinion.

Yes I agree with you butuguru..maybe the reason why din they only got 6th place was because there are too many things happening at the same time na hndi nabibigyan ng focus kada stunt or element na gusto nila ipakita.But they're good actually.

congrats feu! the routine was good!..but maybe the reason why u only got 6th place is because there's too much things happening at the same time,unlike the performance of altas where they focus on every aspect one by one kaya mas kita ng judges. Over confidence din kasi, but its ok..bawi kau next year..congrats!

iho/iha ikaw manood ng 2007 ha. Malapit sa last part before mag penguin dance. Hindi back tuck yun dahil naka flex ang hips at naka straight ang paa na almost nakadikit sa noo. Tsk tsk. Wala ako sinabi na nanggaya ang uste. Ang toss generic kahit sinu pwede gawin depende nalang sa execution. tsk tsk. again di lahat uste nauna.

And 2006 walang ginawang scorpions ang USTE even heel stretches nung 2005 na maraming girls na nakalift . Wala. My point is mga uste fans lang ang mahilig magsabi na gaya gaya ang certain squad but they're pertaining to the elements of cheerleading/cheerdancing such as tosses, lifts, jumps, pyramids na any squad is not restricted to do just because other squad did it already. Buti sana kung dance at steps ang ginaya. Eh di naman. Yung RTU nga sa ncc naglagay ng part ng FEU routine nung qualifiers, but FEU fans are not making an issue out of it.

uhhmm..night before ncc kasi po nag run po kami..
the run was good po..after dismounting po,ung flyer namin, na bgla n lng po xang n sprain,,we have reserve nmn po pero ndi nya alam gagawin at ndi rin nya kaya ung ginagawa nung na injured naming flyer kaya we decided not to compete n lng po..baka magkalat lng po kasi kami dun..
