This is pitiful. There is no way I believe a word coming out of this mans mouth - So depressed and unhappy he went back to the wrestling business - Let's see how long it'll take him to totally destroy TNA. First question should have been - ARE YOU SERIOUS???
nothing you havent heard before. fuck this bitch. this guy who buries his face in the ass of network exuctives. he is a bitch. he has no talent. he got lucky. i dont know how he got lucky but it wasnt god that helped him. fuck this bitch.
I've listened to so many Jim Cornette rants about Vince Russo, I saw this and I wanted to hear what he had to say about things. I made it to 36 seconds. When he said he had a christian website i couldn't continue. Fuck you Vince Russo, and Fuck Jesus too, just for being associated with you. Cornette is right about you.
Oh yeah, and I'm not saying Russo is a genius - far from it. But many fans give him way too much credit, albeit good or bad. He never really benefited wrestling in the long term, but he certainly didn't ruin it either. WCW was a sinking ship long before Russo started penning the scripts.
Like him or hate him, the attitude era was the best. Wrestling as a whole has gone to shit. Wrestling for me, will never be as good as the Attitude Era and the Monday Night Wars saga. That was the best period for wrestling. As soon as Vinny Mac bought everything I tuned out and never tuned back in.
You just admitted you never tuned back in. How do you know how good or bad wrestling is now? I admit i loved the attitude era, but i really don't think wrestling has tanked you know, what i really think is people that used to watch religiously(really establishing a relationship with all characters by watching every week) and don't anymore see it as never living up to what they remember...........and it won't cause memories are always better when they're memories:)
You're right, man. I think I've grown out of wrestling. However, I find myself watching wrestling (OLD STUFF) all the time. I'm not saying that wrestlers today have no talent, I just feel that the angles are horrendous. Wrestling isn't anything like it once was. My opinions probably stem from the glorious days of watching it when I was a child and teenager. Like you said, memories are always better. Couldn't have said it better.
...more fuel to our mutually-sparked "fire russo!" fire, and also proves how much of a rip-off artist he was/is. it's one thing to copy the basic concept of an angle while changing the people involved, tweaking the story slightly to fit the feel of a promotion, etc., but when you do that exact same angle purely for the sake of being different, or worse, recycle the same AGAIN and AGAIN, you can't really be given credit as anything more than a wannabe with a lack of real creativity. anyone...
it has only taken one part of this interview for me to see that this man is a hypocrite, and a blatant one at that! the stuff that he claims to "regret" here is stuff that's STILL being done in tna on a weekly basis, and even if he doesn't create every f*cked up angle(s) or match single-handedly, he still condones them-just like his boss! ;) ;) and, not only that, but the crucifixion angle (which he claims to regret the most) was done three years earlier in ecw. this fact, imo, just adds...
Wrestling don't need good writing. Fuck writing. It needs spontaneous performers brought up the old school way, not sissy catalog models who couldn't cut it as real action heroes. Who wrote the Road Warriors' shit? Also chicken and egg theory in effect, does God just flock towards idiots like Russo or are all of his so-called people idiots?
I am? Well if you're not a christian than you're right. Well maybe I am a Christian, after all God is my favorite fictional character. I mean a guy with all these powers and no weaknesses, what a bad ass. Back to the main topic, Russo is the worst thing to happen to wrestling,,,,ever
@jasonreiffer11 It's just like a child of Satan to say something like that, isn't it? Sorry, but people like you are destined for destruction. You've already lost.

why do these fuckers "find god" when they're depressed? does anyone ever think about that? Look at HBK, finds jesus when he's out of a job and out of the spotlight because of his back problems. Russo is HATED in the wrestling business and he's got to be depressed about it, and now he finds god. It's bullshit. People need a crutch when they're down and they look to "god" and all of a sudden they're not so sad, and then after that everything good "came from god" when in reality, it was just them.
I completely agree with you, and if you notice all the people thumbing you down have not presented any kind of response. in the world of wrestling alot of the guys have come to know a"work" when they see it, which attributes to the high amount of atheists in pro wrestling. i think it also accounts for the amount of conversions toward the ends of careers, they know how to work people into thinking that they are some sort of "new man".it's pathetic but you can't tell me one time it didn't work.lol
@colemckelvie Actually, when you don't have God in your life it does lead to misery. People often think that all they need is money and other worldly things to be happy, but it's never enough. Unfortunetely, most of the time people need to go down that path before they find God and true happiness. Of course, others will never find that kind of happiness because they're too stubborn.
no man hes a bad ass writer...and if you think hes making all the decisions at tna your an idiot hes not the "lead" writer hes just part of dixie carters creative team
TNA has been absolutley awesome these last few weeks with good writing and matches.. if you ahven't watched recently then your not in the know. Russo fucked up in WCW but give the man credit where credit is due in TNA and Attitude era WWF he has been writing his ass off. Espically these last few weeks on TNA IMPACT have turned in to must see TV!
@ChromeFamily Not sure I agree with any of this. Impact is still an unfocused mess when it comes to storytelling, and the promotion has done an awful job of giving the audience reasons to care about any of their characters. They also just crowned a new Knockouts champion by a LOTTERY, devaluing any credibility the division may have had.
maybe he should go that route with TNA
