The original Italian trailer blows the English trailer out of the water. This was obviously meant for domestic audiences and to unnerve and invite them in at once. A far cry from Argento's earlier giallos which seemed in line with everyone else but Profondo Rosso shows how he began to stand out (which is probably why he keeps making thrillers and occassional jump into horror nowadays).
Your brother-in-law was good to recommend it.
