  • Ohh Bjork. You are Genius. :3

  • Thank you Julian Casablancas!!

  • this here is hippie music

  • or nowadays hipster music

  • pandora brought me here!

  • i brought me here

  • I feel like this should be the soundtrack to a trip.

  • @cockardo

...and by trip I mean drug trip, not like a road trip...

  • thanks for posting, this tune reminds me of a whole summer spent rolling up spliffs at the beach in north bondi with nothing to do, watching people get taken out by waves, drinking beers and laughing with mates. good life song

  • I came her because David Archuleta mentioned it & he said this was one of his favorite songs & now i can truly say he has good taste in music.

  • @xxhailybabexx Me too! (:

  • I came here to listen because David Archuleta says this is one of his favorites right now. Thanks for the recommendation, I really like this.

  • DA DA DAYUM!

  • The harmonies are so angelic in this! Even more so than usual.

  • this song makes me wanna rolls sum'in up

  • holy shit ! their minds are connecting

  • this is a very calming song, must say.

  • undeniably good song. UH!

  • @colorblindheartful except for the whole thing which sucks

  • All problems momentarily recede when I play these guys - saw them at FunFunFunFest in Oct. Best performance by far

  • This makes me want to shake my bum. I shall.

  • My mind is fuckin' blown...

  • I love his voice. I don't really like the girls' voices much for some reason, I'm just not very fond of female vocalists...

    Anyway, awesome song!

  • hearing songs like this makes me think that i'm fucking terrible at creating music

  • Go to your address bar, after the word YOU and before the word TUBE, type in "win" then press enter

  • I can't listen to this song when I'm in a bus or train because before I even realise I'm already swaying. And then people think I'm mad.

  • variations on a theme...stillness is the move is definitely from the same album!-)

  • wicked awesome

  • When I first I heard this song I immediately thought,, "Brillant"

  • @0000100010101 That's pretty good.. I certainly didn't, even though I'm now a HUGE fan.

  • I love this albums like someone might love Sgt. Pepper's.

  • Brilliant, though I think the handclap was a bad choice.

  • @ChrisTheContagion

I think you're comment was a bad choice.

    our your birth.

lol i'm just fuckin with u.

  • @ChrisTheContagion

I think you're comment was a bad choice.

    our your birth.

lol i'm just fuckin with u.

  • more perfectness.

    i'm drowning 'ere.

  • i love these guys~!

  • Took me a while to like all the vocal harmonizing going on but it has grown on me quite nicely. Need to get this album!

  • Love this band, been a while.

  • love the harmony... incredible voices. The electric samisen is an ingenious addition

  • @moonunitenar sarcasm isn't a thing that exists. no one is ever sarcastic. in fact, there isn't even a word for sarcasm because it isn't something that is ever used.

some guy had said that music isn't music without lyrics. i was pointing out how wrong he was. sorry.

  • @andhappiness Its really hard to tell sarcasm on the internet. But your first paragraph was obviously sarcastic. What you said about lyrics wasn't as easy to tell though.

  • I f-ing love this and their music period. I really don't care how 'pretentious' other pretentious swine think it is. It's awesome and bad ass

  • Awesome great piece!

  • I love them :)

  • great opening lyric, great sound

  • No Intention is currently free on Amazon:

    dailyfreemp3. com/no-intention-dirty-projectors-bitte-orca-alternative-rock/

  • great sound!

  • itt: people who care too much

  • the more i listen, the more i like it.

  • why does everybody argue over music? music is meant to unify

  • Call it pretentious all you want, at least this song has ideas. Which is more than I can say of alot of modern songs.

  • Comment removed

  • just saw them live, and it's one of the best concerts i've ever seen. Love them!

  • Wow, I immediately liked all of their songs!

Been a long time that happened

    Ur amazing! (Y)

  • @bioLogickk.......... you must not understand the concept of "experimental-art-pop".

  • Can't really say I'm too impressed. I *realize* that their "sloppiness" is intentional, but between the repetitive riffs, slipshod vocals and rather WEAK lyrical composition, I would give this song a 2/10 at best.

  • Who cares about lyrics! And how is it repetitive? Go listen to some rap and then you will get the definition of "repetitive" and "weak lyrical composition"

  • @xXiLLeGaLdRUgXx whoah there, don't go dissing an entire musical genre to defend your taste in music. Good rap has some of the strongest lyrical content in any music. This song is awesome too though.

  • @moonunitenar sorry! I meant most of today's "mainstream rap". Athlough there is one really good (mainstream) rapper, B.O.B

  • @xXiLLeGaLdRUgXx "Who cares about lyrics"????????????????? Are you fucking kidding me dude? First off, music without lyrics is like a body without bones, it works in theory but it can't stand. And I'm pretty sure you'd have to be Hellen Keller to think this shit's not repetitious, instrumentally speaking. Hip hop and rap is ALL about powerful, expressive lyrics, so your comment is pretty epicly fail on several levels.

  • @bioLogickk i would really want to get into an indepth conversation with you about this, but i really don't care enoughffsdfosdf blah balhb blah.....jjl;sdj; >.>

  • @xXiLLeGaLdRUgXx This isn't a conversation, it's you realizing I'm right.

  • @bioLogickk Wow.

    Advice to you:

    Give me a break.

    Get over yourself.

Did you know there are still ACTUALLY people in this world (SERIOUSLY?)

that just prefer to LISTEN TO THEIR MUSIC and not give a flying FUCK about what OTHERS THINK?

But really, shut the fuck up. And quit it with the Hellen Keller. God, people have no respect for her.

  • @bioLogickk and DAY-YUM. Did you NOT read my comment? I meant MAINSTREAM RAP but forgot to add that into my comment. Yes, it's true, and I think rap is VERY expressive and powerful. It's just a lot of these "rappers" e.g. Lil Wayne, rap about the stupidest shit like their dick being a fucking LOLLIPOP....

Oh wait, I almost forgot: I don't give a fuck about what YOU think,

but I this to the people watching this pointless debate. I apologize to others for wasting your time :/

  • @bioLogickk music without lyrics is like... an instrumental. AND EVERYONE KNOWS THAT ALL INSTRUMENTALS SUCK. like rush's yyz. that stuff is crap! and it's no wonder that no one ever listens to mozart's symphonies! they don't have lyrics!

  • @andhappiness Actually that isn't true.. At all.. Lol. YYZ is one of Rush's most popular songs, infact alot of songs start off lyricless then a band will cover it and put lyrics to it. It came to their attention due to it's popularity and I know several people who listen to Mozart.

  • @AskG0d i know i was being facetious because biologickk said that music without lyrics was like a body without bones and i was trying to point out how ridiculous that notion was... one of us needs to take a sarcasm class, i don't know which one

  • @andhappiness Congrats on spouting your opinion like it's fact and coming across as ignorant. I hate to break it to you but a lot of people think that instrumental music is incredibly moving and expressive. Try listening to one of Chopin's nocturnes, one of antoine dufour's guitar pieces, zoe keating with a loop pedal for crying out loud. What is wrong with you :P

  • @bioLogickk Are you kidding? Have you ever listened to Mogwai? Sigur Ros? You're a fucking dolt.

  • @NoJamOnYourBread I never said there was no merit to the instrumental aspect of a song, I said it can't be a complete artistic expression without lyrics, in my opinion. And by the way, I'm rather fond of Sigur Ros, but I don't think that type of music exhibits the same power and fluidity as say.. hip hop , funk or jazz-hybrids. Bitch.

  • @bioLogickk Yeah, okay champ. Go listen to Die Antwoord, Eyedea and Abiltiies, and whatever other "powerful" and "fluid" musicians shitheads are into.

  • that guitar solo....words cannot describe it.

  • They are very sloppy and not very good at keeping a beat always. They have shaky vocals too. I love them though!!! :) :) :)

  • @mowrt620

The shaky beats and "sloppy" time signatures are intentional.

  • @hightimesbruce No, I know, that's why I love them!

  • @hightimesbruce no intention...lol

  • I have just discovered these guys tonight....they are the real deal! I am smitten despite the fact that they remind of Sound Tribe Sector 9. Kudos!

  • Love it!

  • i have been in love with this song for about 4 months now

    still not sick of it

  • The solo towards the end just has this mind boggling energy to it,, it has the quality of making everything seem like its going to be alright.

  • there getting up theree.!

  • this song and "stillness is on the move" have similar phrases

  • Best song on the record. Angel is easy on the eyes.

  • I agree- she;s like 22 or 23- AWES

No wonder that they toured with them.

  • Fuck no.

  • im really starting to like their sound

  • yay! :D:D:D

  • Pretty cool

  • how come Houston Texas doesnt get this kind of music genius? all we have is Z-Ro :P

  • you're doin it wrong. there's actually quite a budding music scene here in houston. try places like Mink, Rudyard, Fitz, Mangos, Last Concert, i could keep going...

  • Please keep going, I live in Seattle, but my band is trying to book a tour of medium sized venues (about 500 capacity) of the south.

  • Are you calling Z-Ro a music genius?

  • Why the hell do these not all have 5 stars on youtube? I'm pretty sure some have 4. BrokenCYDE, widely regarded as one of the worst groups of all time, has 41/2. What the hell?

  • @slimslamer AGREED!!!

  • Well...they are not the best band ever. I don't think that's possible. But they're pretty amazing.

    I love 2:45 and on...beautiful.

  • HAHA AMAzing!

  • no they werent i think xmus version is better

  • every bit of this is genius

  • BEST BAND EVER.hopefully they come to CA

  • FRIDAY

    FUCKKKDF JSDPOFIJ YEAHH

  • did you go to the show at the north park theater in San Diego?

  • Beautiful Everything.

  • this comment counts for the thousands that should be hee

    great guitar work

    like wow

    oh

    man

my only issue with dirty projecotrs is they use way too many indirect psychedelics references

    and like

"freshness of my reality makes me feel tingly and hot"

thats a little bit more than a good mood experienced by a sober individual

  • I experience good moods like that when I'm sober... it depends on how you choose to experience life I guess.

  • Awesome...

  • i love this song. i love the beginning especially
