Thank you so much for this video! I know of some other ways to make fuses (a little better), but it involves making it wet and then waiting for it to dry. Your fuse is perfect if you need an improvised fuse fast!

another way to slow the combustion of KNO3 and sugar is to add a little baking soda, that will help if you want a slower fuse because adding less sugar wont let it burn as good

Basically, 50/50 (equal amount of sugar and KNO3) will work just fine. But, such "fuse" will not work in confinement where there is no oxygen, its not good for firecrackers, salutes or whatever.
