How to Clean an Apple Mighty Mouse

This is what the Apple technical support told me what to do to fix mine and yes it does work to some extent, but the problem is it doesn't work to that long, they actually told me to draw the figure 8 with the mouse in the way you described, however I've been doing that over the past few minutes and still my mouse won't scroll down, so I think I'll book an appointment with an Apple Genius and ask them to fix the damn thing.

I found it helps too if you spit on the ball before rubbing it on the paper. I don't mean like clear ur throat and do a huge gob on it but just to get it a little damp.

I appreciate the humor. The paper trick does work though, try going in circles with the mouse on the paper. I thought mine was completely broken because it wouldn't scroll down for months. After my third or fourth attempt with the paper trick and a bit of firm pressure, a huge wad of dirt came out on the paper and my scroll ball was functioning properly.

EFFING brilliant! i tried the damp cloth, it worked for a while then it stopped. To be honest i didn't actually think that this was going to work because it was so simple, but i gave it a chance because i was pretty much willing to try anything and did and actual bits of dirt came out on the piece of paper and now i have a nice working mighty mouse!!! finally :D
