Originally released in December 1927, and largely the work of Felix's true creator, animator Otto Messmer [even though Pat Sullivan owned the studio, he wasn't an artist or cartoonist, yet he insisted HIS name appear as the sole "animator"]. Very few cartoons, 3-D or otherwise, can match the imagination or technique Messmer crafted over 80 years ago!
These Felix cartoons are probably more surreal than those of Mickey.
