was this on the satarday ? as i fired tornado sat afternoon evening ? i think the driver (Andy Fillingham ) ruined the mail drop by hanging on the wistle all the way through the platform.
yes this was saturday. we went behind tornado about 12.20 from quorn. I liked the long whistle added a bit of drama I thought. Tornado was my blackmail ploy to get other half to go with me, he admitted after he had enjoyed himself. Noticed Tornado didnt smell like cromwell is that the newness. It was so busy on saturday but a good day out.
It WAS you just along the fence from me at Quorn. I appear at about 2.33, lining up for a shot of the Britannia. My camera gets in shot a couple of times as well - sorry!!
No problem had other half with his hand and camera in my shot the other side of me a few times. It was a good day very busy and i overdid it quite a bit and suffered for it but still enjoyed it. maybe going for city of truro
Excellent video again Lou, Good move to get accross the other side of the line. That whistle on Tornado sounds a lot better than the one on 4472.That loco will be superb on the main Line won't it, Leander also sounding in tip top condition. Where was the GWR loco then?..5*..Bob
yes im the sure the dog was enjoying itself it was very funny all you could see was a black shape running from one window to the next barking hilarious. dog train spotter
Nice variety of locos and trains Lou. Such a crowd must have made it difficult (not to mention the mad dog!). Good to see the A1 a little faster than before and, of course, Lord Nelson still making progress (hopefully) back to the mainline. And Leander never fails to impress. Thanks for sharing. Chris
it was so busy thats why decided to go away from the station and try to get as much as i could. then run film into computer and found it had picked a load of wind up that when we were there you didnt notice. seen as other half wasnt keen on going since we've come back the desk top picture has changed to tornado and admitted he enjoyed himself. maybe going for city of truro

Good idea having a companion for the signalman. Most times it's a boring job.
