I made a batch but was out of brown sugar so I mixed up REGULAR sugar with a few drops of green plus a few drops of red food color. After mixing the two colors together it looked brown to me at least.

i made them and there not sweet enough! i thank there needs to be more suger in them, also...maybe a tad bit longer in the oven. but they are good! only thing i would add is some asian mushrooms on top.

The sugar that was added to this was to make them come out right (some sort of scientific thing I ran through my dietician came up with when I was creating this recipe), but, that doesn't mean we can't try to make it sweeter, just make sure it doesn't burn :)
