  • Is it as good as the tac 2?

  • Comment removed

  • why is the controller connection the same on the genesis and atari 2600?

  • @tattleboad birth control bro

  • @TheGamekid96 yo, but seriously, whats up with that?

  • @tattleboad probably they were all copyin each other

  • @TheGamekid96 those sneaky bastards!

  • @tattleboad hey pm me

  • Sometimes i wonder how your livingroom could look like, with all the hardware...

  • Don't use the Sega Genesis controller with Atari or Commodore! It puts 5V more power onto the controller pins than a normal atari controller. It can fry C64 chips, making the control ports or even some of the keys have problems. Use a Wico or a TAC-2 joystick with Atari or Commodore if you don't like Atari's joysticks.

  • I don't get the ending...

  • looks like a dildo.

  • "Some people really like it"-Try to play Black ops with it XD

  • I like the Slick Stick better.

  • Classic Game Room HD reviews the SUNCOM STARFIGHTER ATARI 2600 JOYSTICK controller for the Atari 2600 VCS. The Suncom Star Fighter joystick controller for Atari 2600 is very similar in style to the standard Atari 2600 single button controller. It is slightly smaller, stiffer and more stylized. It also says StarFighter "The Ultimate Joystick". Play Atari 2600 video games with this controller for your Atari 2600 if you happen to have one, but don't search one out. It .............................

  • Dont feed on the bottom kids

  • i never knew you should not feed the bottom of your atari 2600 controller

  • playing atari has been my most efficient form of birth control

  • Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaark!!! Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaark!!!!

  • OMG what happened at the end!

  • Apparently what this video is telling me is that "there's numerous after birth control is choose from including this one". xD

  • In the Transcribed Audio it says "and they tried to replicate her case that was arrested by giving them a real joystiq" LOL LOL LOL LOL Funny, stupid youtube

  • why do most (if not all) 3rd party controllers for the atari 2600 all suck.

Now maybe there are some that are awesome or good or what ever but all I've heard about 3rd party joysticks is that they suck.

Also does anyone know where I could get an atari 2600 for 30-40 dollars.

I know I'm cheap but I'm not gonna pay 300 dollars for an untested "as is" atari

(I actually saw an ebay add like that)

  • @hobocamptheater well u could get an atari flash back 2 with 40 games, also u can mod it to accept 2800 cartrages

  • Eventually Mark will find the wireless Atari 2600 controllers. Those giant bastards will surprise a lot of people since they seem to really unknown.

  • it looks like a face when looked at head on...a little bit

  • Have you tried the Suncom Tac-5?

It's "notchy" and really noisy, but not stiff, unlike the original 2600 joystick. I like that in a controller, having big hands, but others might not like that.

  • is the world made in china?

    kinda a random question.

  • @tsuikjoshiomatsu maybe europe and asian countries

  • @deathtsunami

and the USA is made in europe ...

  • @LyRaLex I was made in Mexico and I'm 95% recyclable.

  • The "StarFighter" version that this vid shows is the exact same joystick as the Suncom Slik-Stik, but with a bat style for the stick. The Slik-Stick uses a heavy rubber covered stick with a small orange ball on the end. Besides that, both joysticks are the same and both are VERY well built, short throw type sticks that are great for extended play times.

  • Lol, watch it with audio transcribed. It makes it SO much funnier.

  • that's a rather phallic looking joystick

  • lols so funny at end and u a wimp valdsator rememebr its just sound it wont jump out and kill u well maybe in dreams but not real life

  • Which means the movie starfighter could be based on this controller...........

  • Ending scared me. :P

    Nice review.

  • Sweet, tell us when you're back from space.

  • Lol the end is weird

  • heh stiff joystick

    could'nt resist

  • I wouldn't buy that controller unless I saw it used for cheap.

  • I actually got that joystick in a box of controllers when I bought my Atari 2600 used off Craigslist... but never tried it. Based on this review, I might just have to!

  • When I see this joystick...i just think dirty things for some reason lol

  • nice

  • I'm a kid now... Yeah, awesome review. I think i might get it.

  • NO! hahahaha

  • amiga vs atari

  • wow that look like a thing for a thing to make other things jet what am saying

    man

  • The Last Star Fighter movie is a cool movie.

  • Review? You didn't even mention the joystick's performance. Like Suncom's Tac-2 joystick, the Starfighter was one of the best after-market controllers you could buy for the 2600--leagues better than the crappy stock joysticks that came with the console. It is more comfortable, durable, and responsive.

  • most of the viewers on this channel are not even old enough to remember any of this most of ps3 playetrs are born in late 80's early 90's

  • And you know this how? I'm not flaming here, I want to know where you got your information on the demographic layout of PS3 owners. Do you work in a game shop, and know from experience who buys PS3s? Have you done broad surveys? Do you work at Sony, handling warranty cards? How do you know the average PS3 owner's age?

  • why take it personal . and what the fuck has sony warrany card and shit got to do with old consoles the are not owned by them this is aATARI JOYSTICK VIDEO DICK HEAD also you must be a late 80's kid who missed out on the classic games days

  • Comment removed

  • i was born in 92.. just becaus the atari 2600 was'nt brought out while i was alive does'nt mean i hav'nt played/enjoy/am considering buyiing one.. handy thing about hardware.. its stays around =]

  • nice ending!

  • ClassicGameRoom RULES

  • yep

  • that ending scared me lolz =P i had headphones on and loud volume

  • 1:30 Whenever that music starts. I know I'm in for an action-packed review!

  • Stiff joystick...

  • lol, that ending was unexpected.

  • The original 2600 joystick was great once you ripped the rubber sleeve off the stick.

  • haha nice ending

  • awesome video man, as always! You inspire me to make better videos!

  • just like in every video LOL

  • I've watched pretty much every video you've made, and this one is far and away my favourite. Possibly because I found The Last Starfighter on dvd for £1 this morning, possibly because I just ate burritos. Either way, it's top notch stuff!

  • Oh crap! Is the Atari okay?!

Also, Stella is the new host of CGR.

  • lol the end.

  • Those aliens don't sound like the Ko-Dan to me unless they where Zan-Do-Zans.

  • When is he going to review the Atari wireless controller?

  • that ending was EPIC!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @VULIMINAL the suncom must ejaculate starfighters! lol

  • is it just me or does it look lika dildo???

  • I just said that to myself o.o

  • Haha I love the ending

  • I wish I could afford all this stuff this guy has :O

  • I hope Mark is O.K.! lol

  • amazing but is this your job?

  • i love how you randomly go from reviewing old school NES style stuff one day to ps3 stuff another its awesome!

  • haha, creative ending :)

  • so many thats what she said jokes.... so little time

  • What makes it the ultimate controller?

Well, no other controller can claim to be a game controller and also a starfighter. The only way a game controller can be cooler than that would be if they made it so it can burn people with monsters and cut them in half.

  • Nice ending. Wasn't expecting that.

  • Mark! Now who am I supposed to assume the identity of when I secretly enter the U S and A! I guess the Hard News guy will have to do. Grr...

  • man that is spooky!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this would be better if it can burn people with monsters and cut them in half.

  • agreed.

  • @Fanofmany1989 Or if it had a flamethrower.

  • Snake! Snake! Snaaaaaaaaaaake!!!

  • My friends dad use to work for Suncom. or some company with a similar name. This looks like a great controller for the Atari 2600. Games for this system are cheap as poo. The games are primitive, but still enjoyable to play. I would get Pit Fall, Pac-Man,Ms. Pac-Man, Pole Position, and etc. If i ever get my hands on an Atari 2600.

  • made in the usa....it's the only electronic that has that honor

  • Welp! That was the last episode of Classic Game Room, Mark was just killed by a Xenomorph, perhaps hit in the face by a face hugger, either way...who's gonna review classic games without him?!

  • Awesome!!!

  • go save the universe Mark

  • Review the Suncom TAC-30 IT KICKS ASS!

  • Thank God he was still able to upload this to Youtube!

  • hey its perfect for females

  • The button, SunCOM logo, and joystick together look like a face.

    Kinda looks like Noseybonk. :V

  • I remember some atari joysticks with like 9 buttons even though they all did the same thing XD

  • funny as always :D

  • I have the Suncom Slick Stick :D

  • o no not mark take the controller

  • It seems you've been selected by a galatic alliance to help stop a evil empire from destroying the galaxy, you'll be partnered with a asthma stricken alien.

  • TIME PARADOX!

  • jeese thanks for the creepy screams wen i'm home alone.lol!

  • hahahaha.... funny....... i have screaming people as my ringtone....... so i thought it was my ringtone

  • Suncom is the manufacturer of one of my absolute favorite joysticks. I'm talking about the TAC-2 "Totally Accurate Controller" if I remember right, you can also use the TAC-2 for all Atari models. recommend you to try if you get the chance.

  • @medialen72 My favorite game controller of all time is actually a PS2 GamingEdge controller. It's really nice with its molds for your hands, and it's nice and heavy. MUCH better than the original ps2 controller

  • my tac2 broke =(

  • Keep the classic info coming. This is a nice looking little device but it looks a bit small otherwise.

  • hahha

  • The suncom tac 2 was the best joystick i ever used for the atari.

    then it broke

  • mark wont be uploading any new videos until he finish fighting with the space aliens with his star fighter.

  • NO! MARK!

  • If Mark doesn't survive the alien attack then Stella will be the new host of Classic Game Room.

  • What about the Archer? That works in C64 Atari AMIGA and MSX and has switches on it to swich between the 4 modes so it's proper compatable.

  • HHAA

  • You're fuckin weird. Lol! Wanna have a beer? :)

  • if he died, can I have his stuff then?

    I alwayz wanted a sega dreamcast :3

  • Looks like a sex toy!

  • I used to play my 2600 so much as a kid i busted the classic joystick. Yes the classic almost non breakable joystick.I killed it becouse i loved my 2600 and still do

  • Well this would be better then using my SEGA Master System controllers on my 2600. :P

  • Is that Atari 2600 model still working?

  • nice ending

  • Nice ending

  • haha that ending was hilarious. Almost seems like that coulda been the last CGR episode ever, but of course that isn't the case. That controller is no "Pointmaster" though. That was another 3rd party Atari 2600 controller Mark reviewed awhile ago.

  • OH SHI-

  • i would be cool if you do something impulsive in your reviews. anyways nice review keep it up :P Greet z MS

  • good review but just talked about the looks of it, how does it work?is it better than the original?

  • There are a lot of "bow chicka wow wow" moments in this vid.

  • is CGR over????

  • why would you ask that?

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :l

  • Nice joystick.

Mark, GO KICK ASS to those background aliens! How they just dear to scream in review time?! :P

  • Haha! Great review!

    Loved the ending :D

    5/5

  • Great name for a controller.

  • it looks like spongebob?

  • Mark has perfect comedic timing. He builds one opinion up for the viewer, like liking a controller - Then all of a sudden changes it with perfect timing. That makes CGR, along with AVGN, propably the best game reviewers. Ever.

  • another gr8 vid from cgr

  • Loved the ending. You should add more epic ending twists like that!

  • WAS THAT REAL OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If it was real, whatever attacked him was kind enough to edit and upload this video exactly as how its victim wanted.

  • that was nice of them

  • MY JOYSTICK WORKS BETTER

  • It looks like it would on a commodore 64 as well... And that has tons of excellent joysticks so there are plenty of alternatives to find out there.

  • It's stiff.

    That's what she said!

  • i cant stopp laghing at stiff joystick^^

  • the suncom logo is pretty sweet

  • WTF was that at the end!

  • Comment removed

  • looks like a sex toy!

  • its too small XD

  • @BlackHawk2669 That's what she said. xD

  • lol loved it

  • i havent seen the last star fighter in years

  • Good vid!

  • Oh yeah, we had that one. I know we broke it, but I wonder if it was just the stick cover thing.

The standard Atari controller usually lost the sheath that went over the stick, so we'd just play with the skimpy white plastic thing underneath since it didn't slip off... but those all broke eventually anyway.

    Yes, it predated the movie.

  • its looks like a face

  • you know a company has a good logo when it not only looks appealing but can function as a grip too. let's see sony or microsoft try that. oh wait, they can't cause this is the wireless age now. well, i guess they could still do it with the cord used to charge the controllers. i guess this isn't the true wireless age since we still need them for charging our wireless things. but not for long.

  • Did you just rip a hole in the space time continuem.

  • are you still alive?

  • no, eggs

  • If he did how will we ever find out more about the Vectrex?

  • @17R3W omg get a life

  • @az0albert

Tis just a joke. Breath deep and relax.

"Smoke a bowl" as it were.

  • so funny

  • He got wasted by a Zandozan interstellar hit beast.
