  • Hell yeah, keep the consciousness alive.

  • to any african your name is given as the wish of the parent to the child for what they believe the future of that child to be. our own names are very much part of our cultures.. and every name has a meaning its something that is not known to black america and i hate it when africans adopt this as a fashion statement.. naming your child after alcholic beverages "champayne" er.. no.

  • There is a Taste of Afrika video to complement this.

  • Would love to incorporate this video into my Taste of AFrika teaching.

  • Would love to incorporate this video into my "Taste of Afrika" video. Spoke powerfully on what I am trying to teach.

  • Thats whats up. TEACH!!!!!!

  • When I read someone's byline, I think: "what else did they write". Not, "what country are they from". But I just happen to be white, and I'm not from France, even though my last name is French.

  • Wow! Powerful film making here. The visual is stunning with the water and colors throughout. The intense focus of the subject is compelling. The message is precise and culturally relevant. I am impressed with this production. Can't wait to see more in the series.
