The only reason Byakuya was able to win Esparda #7 was because his ability was thousands of blades shaped as flower petals and Esparda #7's ability was to take over ONE single object per eye he has. That's why Byakuya won that fight.

Ichigo and Esparda #6's abilities equalized so they both technically had a Fair fight. Not to mention that Ichigo and the captions are fighting godly opponents now.

The Espada are ranked by power 1-10 one being the most powerful 10 being the weakest(until hes in his released form in which case hes actually espada cero 0) So like it or not Ichigo got the stronger opponent. Truthfully espadas 7,8,9 all had major weaknesses while Grimmjaw was not about to back down. Nnoitora who is espada #5 is even more powerful then Grimmjaw.

Who cares about that kind of stuff. Its a show about fighting basically. It's just more complex and it was based around sword fights and magic and other stuff long thought to be myth and fake. The show would be retarded if it was just fights all the time and it would be boring if there were no fights. The only reason Ichigo beat Byakuya is because he was the good guy. Well, when it comes down to it, Byakuya wasn't really taking ichigo seriously...as soon as he did, ichigo had to break down and let his inner hollow take over and kick in, which overwhelmed byakuya because he wasn't expecting it...in the end, he stopped fighting because this was a good excuse to save rukia and still have "fulfilled" his duty.

Grimmjow was 4 numbers higher and bankai wasn't even close to on par with him. So you gotta guess there's huge power gaps

But let's not forget: the difference between two ranks is enormous. It's almost as if you compare a captain with a lieutenant. And, Ichigo could use his speed against the speed of Byakuya's bankai. Furthermore, Ichigo's resolve was stronger than Byakuya's. And Byakuya's resolve was blazing against Espada 7 because he threatened Rukia.

Ichigo did not 'easily' beat byakuya... that fight very nearly ended in a draw. in fact, ichigo took more damage from the final attack than byakuya... if he'd turned around, he'd have seen ichigo barely standing. byakuya techincally won that fight. besides, it's been shown that there's a significant difference in power between each number in the top 10 arrancar. no6 is much stronger than no7.

there is a difference between power and experience so u can say that byakuya is an expert at using his zanbaktouh and if u watched ichigo vs arrancar #4 u will see that ichigo made him fight seriously when he used his hollowfication and the last point is what nyxus007 said
