Actually it's said in the book that Lisbeth is in fact pretty, that she has a model-like face. She just looks eccentric. And she's not a psychopath. How exactly did you come to that conclusion? She's definitely asocial and scarred, but she's perfectly sensible. The secret service tried to make her seem like a psychopath, but she isn't. If you read the book you should know that. This makes me doubt if you have.

And what I mean by that is that Lisbeth has a bite to her, and an air of almost hostility no matter what situation she's in. In this new version, she's very... passive, and almost... blah. Like if you stuck her against a wall she'd blend in. Another think I know I'll dislike is the fact that they've sort of switched the roles in this one... they've made Blomkvist the more assertive, dominant personlity, which is just backwards. Like I said, this is based off of 1 scene in a trailer, so not much.

I agree with Mistevity on the fact that Noomi Rapace has probably done the better job portraying Lisbeth Salander. I've read the books, seen the movies, and I will go see this one, simply to see the difference, however, based on the trailers I've seen, which is very limited info, I'm aware, I can almost definitely say I won't enjoy the hollywood version of Lisbeth as much primarily because of what I've seen of Salander's character in the hollywood trailers is different than what Lisbeth is.

@TransDIYer Sometimes they are. Example? "The Horse Whisperer". Robert Redford (as the director) took what`s best from the book, cut out some lame plots and made a great story with a wise message. The book wasn`t even close to that. But it`s a different topic... Millenium - I watched the sweedish trilogy and I loved that. But I`m also very curious about Fincher`s version.
