Spitz breeds are the best dogs.

I've had 2 Samoyeds, a Keeshond & now have a Shiba Inu.

I'll always have a Spitz of some kind.

It's not very common in Shibas.

I love my boy Diego. When i went to the shelter to look for a dog I would have taken any breed accept a chow, but after I met him and went back 4 times I decided that a chow was a good breed for me

ha ha, that happened to us 10 years ago! we went to adopt a greyhound. but a chow, the red one, stole our hearts and we haven't looked back, except with joy. chows are so adorable and loving.

That happens to a lot of people. :-) I sometimes wonder if the Chow doesn't pick the owner. I've warned several people when they first told me about having a mild interest in a Chow. I tell them "Chow Chow steal your heart and never give it back!!" People never listen. The Chow always wins. :-)

Aw, that is great.  They really seem to love each other.

Yes, they really do. They were instant friends too! We got one from the Humane Society and one from the ASPCA and when we went to the ASPCA to see if they'd get along, they instantly hit it off and were hugging at first sight.
