When I See Senna in his Car i must cry! Hamilton is a pussy and fancies himself as a modern day "Senna". Hamilton is dangerous and has no commons sense, if the FIA had any sense what-so-ever, they'd revoke his licence.
it is so sad that people like you, probably male under 25, have to put down someone like Hamilitn to make yourself feel some sense of power. You have no concept of what the love and history of Formula 1 is. Thankfully someone like Lewis does.
The haunting music score, the kid driving his idol's greatest car, and the old sage played by Clarkson created one of the best racing pieces I have every seen.
why can't people see it? the one thing they have in common and its not lewis choice of color for his helmet but they are both "racers". there are racers and there are drivers. both these guys don't drive for points, if lewis did he would've been a rookie world champion in 07.
as a F1 fan for 25+ yrs. lewis brought excitment back to F1 that was missing from 94 to 06. the sport became a train of cars after the 2nd lap. i'm just waiting for the day mclaren builds a dominant car again.
I have to disagree with Clarkson here, In my view Villeneuve was the most spectacular driver in grand prix history, and the most talented F1 driver ever. Senna was probably faster, but Villeneuve had the talent. If only Gilles hadn't crashed he would have been the 1982 Champion easily, and the 80's would have been so much more interesting, Senna Vs Villeneuve? Now I'd pay to see that.
@AbstractsParody i totally agree . we did not see enough of villeneuve to get an accurate depection of his total talent . you say senna vs gilles . i say senna and gilles as teammates . that would have been epic . 2 of the most determined racers probably in history . both from the new world . we do have racers ......

also give s. buemi the RB7 and he will get poles and wins if he drove that car.
@p2eas3 Vettel? The guy can't even overtake with the best car on the grid, he isn't in the same universe as Senna. He is the worst world champion we have ever had. I think only alonso and Ham could roll with the 80's legends like prost, piquet, mansell, berger etc.
@blackvapour Hamilton is getting older now and he's no longer what he used to be. He's a bit like Montoya and Raikkonen. In my opinion, Vettel has more potential to remain on top on the long term like Alonso and Schumacher.
@p2eas3 dude I respect what you're saying but in his first season at the Monaco GP he took an uncompetitive Toleman and put it in second place on the podium only seven seconds behind Prost in what was by far and away the fastest car on the grid and was twenty two ahead of Rene Arnoux in a Ferrari. I know Vettel and Alonso are good but trust me, they would have nothing on Senna. R.I.P.
@xxJSGC123xx The Monaco Grand Prix was called off on lap 31 of the 76 allocated laps.At that time Senna was closing in on Prost by two seconds a lap.So unless he had mechanical failure he would have obtained the lead on roughly lap 35.
God created Sunday so he could watch Senna driving, but that was not enough, so Senna died so God could have him on Hes team. Thats why on raining stormy sundays when you hear a thunder, know that its Senna racing on heaven. Go Senna!
F3 start, after the first turn Senna raised his hand and all the drivers slowed thinking it was red flagged, he laughed and just pulled away.He could make everybody look silly.
@kegs616 Bruno Senna has driven his uncle's car. It was a beautiful sight. It broguht me to tears. I hope one day I will see Bruno Senna win a race.
Ayrton Senna was on a path of a true human being. What I loved most about Senna is that when you looked at his face you could actually tell what kind of mood he was in. He never hid his emotions and that was the beauty of Ayrton Senna.
"SENNA WAS SPECTACULAR EVERY SINGLE TIME HE GOT IN A CAR."
@kegs616 Bruno Senna would crash that beauty in the nearest wall.
Hamilton was the right pick then. The driver that most look like Senna nowadays, in the aggressive style at least.
He still a bit young and inexperienced to be given such a beast to tame. Hopefully, if the surname holds some mystical power, in some years he'll be a top notch driver and probably even buy that car.
what i like about him is his purity of soul, meaning that he hated the politics of the sport which is something prost excelled at, not that i don't like prost, it's just an observation.
There have been many amazing drivers since F1's beginning but when it came to doing what ever it took and the will to win NO one matched the will to win like Mr. Ayrton Senna. I was lucky enough to be old enough to have watch him, and wish I would have totally understood what genius I was watching. I totally appreciate this amazing driver today. DH McLaren team
Get yourselves rFactor. Download the F1 1988 mod. Get yourselves a decent wheel like the Driving Force GT or better. Buy the Senna MP4/4. Good luck keeping it on the track.
And if you saw Senna on the streets and you didn't know his face, if he told you he was the world's best driver, that person would not believe him. He looks like an average person, but he was just so brilliant. Even in watching this I felt myself tear up and I follow motorcycle racing. The way he moved that car around though was spectacular, I have a new Idol to go with Joey Dunlop today. :)
I don't think Schumacher can compare ANY close ANY time to A. Senna. Schumacher's peak of winning streak was brought about by the technological attributes brought about Ferrari. Just watch him having lost the championship twice simply after the tire supplier change in 2005 and 2006. He had a hard time to adapt. Senna ADAPTS easily to ANY race situation and at times, even with an inferior car.
senna will always be number one, there will be no other driver that can match what he did of his era, the way those cars where build there was 0 margin for error, todays are just wrapped up in cotton wool, were as the mp4/4 was really a gokart with a 1250bhp engine and thats it, we have great drivers to day like MSM but even he thinks hes nothing to senna
I agree, alot of people don't like his arrogance at certain times (me for one) but when it comes to subjects as above, he really shows alot of emotion and feeling on TV. :) Love him or hate him ........ you can't help just liking him :)

Responder a este vídeo... @TheLn14 because everybod want to be senna is more respect i think you know lewis is an example he love ayrton and a prove is his yellow helmet i m from brasil and i dont knowm if write correctly so sorry about the mistakes
The nostalgia of seeing these clips. The 1990's..Monaco... I was just a child, but the joy of seeing him pilot that MP4/4..It's amazing how 20 yrs later I can still feel it just as I was watching it on tv. How lucky I am for having witnessed such genius.
@GTDyno /watch?v=bemeS7dpgzc&feature=related Ironically in 92 most F1 top teams had paddles ferrari, benetton, willians...ferrari was the first one (1989..), but tha mclaren 12 cilinder manual gear was the continuation of Senna's anatomy, he use to drive with one hand
@krayziegus thank you for sharing! I have numerous tapes on vhs of his championship seasons, along with dvd documentaries..but I'm most grateful for youtube and the people who upload to share some of the missed footage we rarely come across.
As a racing fan... and a brazilian who, as kid watched this man raise a throphy with an injuried arm not to satisfy ego or to be praised... To ignore pain in order to celebrate a home victory with his contrymen.... Senna is the only hero I had and will ever have.
Even remembering brings tears to my eyes... The greatest driver of all time. No one will ever come close in talent or will to win.
@Dealow12 ah a kid that doesnt like hamilton. i felt sorry for you cause you cant enjoy when he's the man that give entertainment to the sport by his aggressive style and loads of overtaking. seriously just enjoy the racing. dont care about driver personality just enjoy the racing
@Euclides287 Not even close. Senna proved himself in a uncompetitive car (Toleman) Hamilton has always had a car that could at least win the odd grand prix.
@gnarkillkicksass Guessing you didn't watch 2009. Plus, Hamilton didn't have to work his way up to a competitive car cause he deserved it because he was that good.
@filipinokid3 I've never missed a GP since '93 and I have seen almost a dozen from the stands. Hamilton only ever raced for Manor, ASM and ART funded by Mclaren since he was 13 so no, he has never ever had anything less then a top car. Unlike him, Senna was impressive in unimpressive cars.
@gnarkillkicksass You still haven't proven anything. So why did Lewis get funded by McLaren? because he is good. Just another person who doesn't like Lewis because he didn't have to work his way up. It's either that, he's better than your driver or because he's black. I don't even know what you're trying to say about Lewis. He's the best driver out there with Alonso.
@filipinokid3 And Vettel. And Button. And Webber. And Heidfield and Kovaleinen, they deserve to be mentioned only because they had the guts to drive an F1 car uphill at Goodwood. And Nico Rosberg, who's making a name for himself and not living up of daddy's fame and glory. And Vitaly Petrov, a Russian competing with Schumacher is priceless. And Pèrez, who's really fast for being a rookie. And Kamikaze Kobayashi, whose fast and intimidating driving style is so much '80s.
@filipinokid3 And everyone else, really. This year's grid is full of talents; some greater, some lesser, but you cannot say there isn't a driver who isn't whorty of a chance in competing in F1.
@gnarkillkicksass for somebody who claims to have watched so many races you don't really know much do you? how unimpressive was that Mclaren in 2009? and what lewis did with it was amazing!......don't knock Lewis for being discovered by Ron Dennis in his early years! any driver would have jumped at that opportunity! You need money to do motor racing and Ron provided that, if Lewis was shit then he wouldn't even of had a sniff at F1.
(Jesus, that over take by Piquet on Senna 3:41)I'm proud of my self because i was LIVE witness that is a First HUNGARORING 1986. But that time when GOD was behind the will, never come back ...be hind all that safety which this day's drivers got, and all that down force....and lack of power...never again.
5:02 huge v12 turbo charge, this the real sound of F1 I ll aways remember, and still should be, that shit is more and more slow and the cars are taking over the drivers. I wold like to see all the eletronics that exists nowdays in a turbo charge V12
``You know i`ll be honest with you, i was never the Senna fan, i was thought Gilles Vellenuve as a great racing drive of the moment, but To make this film i`ve whatch hours and hours of footage, and the think is ,Vellenuve was spectacular on the number of ocasions , Senna he was spectacular every single time he got in the car``
Now you guys know about the dimension of senna..... we miss you
When you saw the car parked in the garage at 5:25, you almost feel as if Senna's still sitting in there, even though it's empty. It's.. amazing, really, in a weird way.
Seeing that yellow helmet in the McLaren sends shivers down my spine. The car control is just out of this world. What a driver. Lewis Hamilton, what a driver.
@alexis944s2 Lewis is a great driver, but at the same time is little shit to wear the yellow helmet. Ayrton's pure racing motivation has nothing to do with Lewis' commercial career
@matsablocos lewis is his #1 fan of senna he follow on senna foot steps he started in kart then he moved up now he is in F1 and got to accomplish one of his dreams dont hate on him cuz he got to be in the seat were ayrton sat once
I watch to gear alot and I've fallen in love with motor racing...I always loved fast cars and the Heroes that drove them. F1 has never really sparked my heart as a child. because I was born in 82...I missed out on alot of what was ayrton senna...but after watching this tribute, the shining star that is ayrton senna will live in my heart forever.
I envy all of you that got to witness his greatness, and his life here on earth. What a hero for brazil, for motor racing, and for the people who lov
I admired and respected Hamilton's skill and achievements previously, but seeing his joy while driving Senna's magnificent MP4/4 has made me a fan. Hope he finishes out the F1 season on top once again.
Jokes aside I ADORE JEREMY CLARKSON - He has so much depth of feel. We have a saying in Asia "good people don't live for too long becuase God loves them" (makes us think how bad we are and need to clean ourselves up - Ayrton was one of them) and just because he isn't here doesn't allow ppl to hate of love him more. This tribute vid brought tears as it flashed a lot of old memories.
You're still alive in my heart Ayrton
I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU JEREMY - YOU'RE MY MOST FAV MAN IN BRITAIN.
i love how hamilton describes sennas way of driving, but i defenitely wouldnt compare hamilton with senna, senna was a great humanbeing , hamilton isnt! but good he remembers his hero!

" His skills, craft, subtlety, and courage were of such magnitude that he dwarfed his generation of drivers "- Ron Dennis on Ayrton Senna .

@thehitchrules There were good drivers, then there were great drivers, then there were champions and then there was Ayrton Senna
Suprastar77 4 months ago
@Suprastar77 . Absolutely . Senna was of another order altogether. Never gonna be another like Senna.

one word... FANTASTIC! This is what legends do in life!
Realness97 6 months ago
The nostalgia of seeing these clips. The 1990's..Monaco... I was just a child, but the joy of seeing him pilot that MP4/4..It's amazing how 20 yrs later I can still feel it just as I was watching it on tv. How lucky I am for having witnessed such genius.
GTDyno 6 months ago
@GTDyno /watch?v=bemeS7dpgzc&feature=related Ironically in 92 most F1 top teams had paddles ferrari, benetton, willians...ferrari was the first one (1989..), but tha mclaren 12 cilinder manual gear was the continuation of Senna's anatomy, he use to drive with one hand

eliotrigby1 6 months ago
As a racing fan... and a brazilian who, as kid watched this man raise a throphy with an injuried arm not to satisfy ego or to be praised... To ignore pain in order to celebrate a home victory with his contrymen.... Senna is the only hero I had and will ever have.
Even remembering brings tears to my eyes... The greatest driver of all time. No one will ever come close in talent or will to win.
Gone but never forgotten...

what song is playing when hamilton gets into the car?
vanhoot2234 6 months ago
I saw his JPS Lotus go round Donington Park at World series by Renault and the driver had a yellow helmet which was fitting.
If only Ayrton lived then maybe he would of drove a couple of full boar laps which would of been a great honour to witness.
MrSharnley009 7 months ago
@Dealow12 ah a kid that doesnt like hamilton. i felt sorry for you cause you cant enjoy when he's the man that give entertainment to the sport by his aggressive style and loads of overtaking. seriously just enjoy the racing. dont care about driver personality just enjoy the racing

Euclides287 7 months ago 5
@Euclides287 then hamilton wakes up from the dream
mignik01 7 months ago
@Euclides287 Not even close. Senna proved himself in a uncompetitive car (Toleman) Hamilton has always had a car that could at least win the odd grand prix.
gnarkillkicksass 7 months ago
@gnarkillkicksass Guessing you didn't watch 2009. Plus, Hamilton didn't have to work his way up to a competitive car cause he deserved it because he was that good.
filipinokid3 7 months ago
@filipinokid3 I've never missed a GP since '93 and I have seen almost a dozen from the stands. Hamilton only ever raced for Manor, ASM and ART funded by Mclaren since he was 13 so no, he has never ever had anything less then a top car. Unlike him, Senna was impressive in unimpressive cars.
gnarkillkicksass 7 months ago
@gnarkillkicksass You still haven't proven anything. So why did Lewis get funded by McLaren? because he is good. Just another person who doesn't like Lewis because he didn't have to work his way up. It's either that, he's better than your driver or because he's black. I don't even know what you're trying to say about Lewis. He's the best driver out there with Alonso.
filipinokid3 7 months ago
@filipinokid3 And Vettel. And Button. And Webber. And Heidfield and Kovaleinen, they deserve to be mentioned only because they had the guts to drive an F1 car uphill at Goodwood. And Nico Rosberg, who's making a name for himself and not living up of daddy's fame and glory. And Vitaly Petrov, a Russian competing with Schumacher is priceless. And Pèrez, who's really fast for being a rookie. And Kamikaze Kobayashi, whose fast and intimidating driving style is so much '80s.
clydeyello 7 months ago
@filipinokid3 And everyone else, really. This year's grid is full of talents; some greater, some lesser, but you cannot say there isn't a driver who isn't whorty of a chance in competing in F1.
clydeyello 7 months ago

I wold like to see all the eletronics that exists nowdays in a turbo charge V12
krayziegus 7 months ago
@krayziegus
It was a 6-cylinder turbo, not a v12.

@bullmilk yeah mclaren mp4 is v12 and mp4/5 v10

@krayziegus no that particular MP4/4 was a turbo charged v6 made by honda. the last year turbo charged cars were allowed.

You can kinda feel it even in the video.

@alexis944s2 Lewis is a great driver, but at the same time is little shit to wear the yellow helmet. Ayrton's pure racing motivation has nothing to do with Lewis' commercial career

What a hero for brazil, for motor racing, and for the people who lov
kaikenr 1 year ago
