Jamie's bass-playing was always so smooth and, especially in the early days (death cult/dreamtime) had some great fill-playing - having played guitar in Ritual, it probably came naturally. On that note, I heartily advise checking them out; a sorely forgotten but great early goth band :)

this is one of my favourite Cult's performance!!!! They're incredibles and Ian is really really amazing.....HE'S THE BEST ROCK SINGER IN THE WORLD!!!! Notice the bruise on Astbury's right cheek? Legend has it that Nigel Preston knocked him out during a rehearsal a few days earlier. This must have been about their last TV appearance with Preston, 'cause its just before they recorded "She Sells Sanctuary", and by the time they shot the video for that he was out of the band. Great drummer. RIP.

I love Ian! I've been to many concerts over the years and only two bands caused the crowds to move. Korn - everyone was jumping up and down - and The Cult were everyone was swaying to and fro. Everyone HAD to move w/ the beat...very cool
