Hi sadly i can't buy Lycopodium Powder in my country but luckely thanks to another video i saw a guy in norway shows me the plant you can get it from and the method of making it ^^
So i am going to be making it and try do this for all kinds of cool photography and videos.
@Cheejyg it doesn't burn on the table because it has a low surface area, when it it in the air all side of each seperate prticle are exposed to the flame. the powder itself is't really flammable just when it's in the air. Spposedly you can do this same thing with flour, but mine didn't work.
if you pour the powder over water, it creates a barier between the water and any object you put in the water, thus making the object temporarily water proof.
@versusterminus19, He doesn't flinch because unless you were to cover yourself in the lycopodium powder, it's not dangerous. I took a handful of the stuff and sprinkled it on a candle, the fire runs up the trail and burns the powder on your hand, but it doesn't burn your hand.
@pipkin503 Any dust from a combustible material could do this, for example saw dust or flour. It used to be common for old wind mills to catch fire for this very reason.
So if this would these flames burn you if it came in contact with your hand ?

you can also do this with really fine flour. The flame is not made by the Lycopodium powder, but the fineness of the powder.
