  • Tuning a bit rough at the soli

  • A little bit top heavy for me, but i enjoyed the performance. Playing this myself this year at Whit Friday, and looking forward to it.

  • could be the recording though... :P What band are you with?

    Nice vid ;-)

  • That was well good! we play this song at band alot, its a lip killer !

  • muy buen grupo!!! se escucha genial!

  • the trumpets/cornets were great! im going to use this clip in my BTEC (which is like a GCSE) stuff!

    thanks for posting it!

  • Very enjoyable.

  • Haha, i played this on Whit Friday at the Saddle worth (07). I was sight reading the repiano part. My coach was beered up. :) I must say we were sounding pretty good by our 6/7th village... must have been the beer.

  • It's called "Cornish Cavalier" by W.E.Moyle

  • i thought this march was writing by William Rimmer, so it says on the Answers website

  • how is this number called?

i like it very much!. Nice brassband concert march. In Englisch style.

  • I should point out that yours truly was depping in on Principal Cornet that day because the normal principal and second man had exams at uni. So I'm even more glad you think it's good! This was one of my more sober performances. After this one I drank 3 and a half pints in half an hour and then tried to play at Uppermill. It didn't go brilliantly well.

  • There were some issues in the second strain, like you're trying to get the sixteenth notes to gel, and there are some tuning issues in the trio, but overall I am very impressed. When your group gels, it really gels. There aren't all that many brass bands in my area and I love that sound. Talented group!

  • No, I'm serious, The sound is great, esp the intro. The trio is a bit messy, but the rest is ok.

  • That's a really awesome band! Awesome sound!

  • Are you being sarcastic?! We sound shocking, especially in the middle of the trio when the horns and Euphs are about a semitone out. Whit Friday is known as much for its beer consumption as for its playing, however, so that may explain it.

  • memories, why are there no more proper brass band videos on this site

  • There are!!! I've posted loads of them on Youtube in the last couple of months. Go to my channel by typing bannan61 in the search box.
