They can server papers at the gate, where it would be legal. If that were the case an officer would be allowed to go into your house, look around, rummage through some stuff, hand you the papers, then leave. They are not allowed to do that.

If your gate was open they can come on your property and can walk up to your house just like a ups or a sales person could. what papers were they trying to serve??? how do you know if it is a warrent or not? If you "bear arms" agains the police when they try to make contact with you, when they shoot you and you die... it's going to be too late to argue. In the event that you don't die the court will look at if a reasonable person would act in self defense. If you point a gun at someone who you thought/knew was a police officer(possibly identified verbally or visually-via uniform), i'd say it wouldn't look good for you.

If an officer, while making legal service, he sees something that give him probably cause to suspect criminal activity, he most certainly can search. The key is, probably cause.
Most applicable here is Oliver v. U.S. or Arizona v. Hicks. Both allow Police to act upon probable cause in plain view, or open fields.

Police do not need your permission to be on your property, nor do they need a warrant. They only need a warrant to search,. The only reason a police officer will be on your property is if they were dispatched there for some reason. If they weren't dispatched there or doing their job, and they are on your property for no reason, then you can bring up a trespassing charge.

People, Get Ready! There is no room for us to be "the land of the freaks and home of the slaves" any longer! Why must we pay them all we have, working a job to pay for everything it takes to just stay alive, with no time left for your family, raised by people u don't know, to fund the war machine! Disarm!!!

The two sheriffs left;code enforcement never came.They are not the lawful authorities.The governing bodies of these United States of America,top to bottom,across the board,federal,state,& local,have yet to get lawful regarding the "Sheriff Trespass" incident of July 6,2009,and everything material leading up to and away from said incident.We,my family and I,remain in fear for our lives and prepared to defend ourselves up to and including bearing arms,but praying we do not have to.-Josiah Fornof-

@TheMeissiah The police came into my yard this morning and ticketed my car and my girlfriend's car for parking on grass. The house is barely visible from the road.
