spectacularly rare version ...i can't believe i'm watching it... one smokin' track by one of the masters of the twin harmony guitars. i recommend you search out the original and headphone it
For English viewers, this performance was on BBC4 on Friday, (In excellent quality, might I add.) I recommend you try the Iplayer to watch it if you are keen.
You are correct Stuttgart but you know, I was lucky enough to have seen the original band in "72" on the Argus tour in Jacksonville Florida.I also had the pleasure of seeing them absolutely nail this tune on that evening.
I seem to remember it being used in the seventies on the BBC when there was a technical breakdown - as there often was - as an alternative to the test card. You might remember it from there. I do hope you are not that old - I was a kid you understand
This takes me back to when I saw them at the Whiskey and they open up with Vas Dis!I'll never forget those Orange Amps Flying V Guitars of Andy's and Rickenbacker 4001 Bass of Martin Turner.
Sorry about the poor vid quality. I remember quite clearly, the concert I went to see them at a place called: "Satsop Music Festival" in Washington State, Labor Day weekend in 1971. I have never heard of "Ash" until then, the peformance was memorable. Especially Vas Dis.
@russha717 dude i have a lot LP's jimmi hendrix, 1st woodstock in USA, black sabbath wishbone ash (pilgrimage), clapton, pink floyd, animals, bob marley, santana, Mayall, u2 and a lot more :D

Awesome version of this tune by Jack McDuff . Nice to see Steve Upton up front - a place he deserves . A real good drummer with a jazzy feel here.

Ogeecheeman you´re spot on regards live performance as I saw them often at Newcastle City Hall in England during the 70's!
Great live band!
Talking of great live bands see you mentioned Jacksonville so obviously i´d have to mention Skynyrd as one of the best live bands ever!
Caught them at the same venue,March 77 the same year as the plane crash!
Whilst i'm on the southern rock subject also saw The Outlaws supporting Little Feat in the 70's there!
Great time for live music!

Sorry to dissapoint anyone but this not LIVE!
It´s from the Old Grey Whistle Test along with the clip of Jailbait!
The reason both songs sound exactly like the versions on Pilgrimage is because they were miming!
Check out Steve Upton´s drumkit,it's not miked up!
Sorry guy's but it ain't a live performance.The Musician's Union probably wouldn't allow it etc.etc.
Roger Daltry said the Who had similar problems regards their performance on the OGWT as well!
Wishbone were a class act in the 70's!
