To me, hating is when someone disses another person for no good reason or they generalize instead of being specific. Like if someone says "I hate Nicki Minaj", to me, that's hating. But if someone says "I hate Nicki Minaj because...", then they're giving a reason. If the reason is some childish shit like "...because she's stupid", that's hating. But if the reason is based on something that genuinely bothers the person like "...because her image is bad for young girls", that's an opinion.
