@GReg22334 Hardware wise, and best bang for your buck. The MSI GT683 wins hands down.
I'm assuming you're using this for gaming. The M11x's screen is too small for gaming, the graphics card (GT 540m) will not be able to run BF3 or Skyrim etc smoothly. The MSI gt683 has a decent screen size for gaming, the graphics card will be able to run new games smoothly and on high. So if you're thinking of buying either, buy the MSI. For m11x, you're mostly paying for the Alienware brand.
Ok so i'm moving out soon and don't wanna go through the trouble of getting a desktop i play Wow sometimes along with D3 every once in awhile, but mostly im focusing on league of legends and GW2 when it comes out, which laptop do you think is ideal for my situation?
Just one question, how long is the battery life of this laptop when gaming and when normal use only? Meaning, surfing the web, movies, itunes, etc. And how's the temperature in this laptop when gaming? Thanks in advance!
Indeed a good review ;) but if you really want to let us hear the crystalclear sound of the speaker you have to have good sound on your video right? how is the volume of the van without the ''powervan'' option? Thanks
@IQdonut It's relatively quite for a laptop of its size and caliber. You honestly would not notice the sound unless you put your head near the exhaust port. Hope that helps!
@VanMedia The touchpad is very responsive, and as for the left and right clicks, I wouldn't say they are "hard as hell" to click, but then who games on a trackpad? :-)
@VuugoTV i game on trackpad. i played all my games on it including FPS. my inspiron 1520 trackpad is a beast. i've tried other trackpads on other laptops and they suck ass, no way to game on those shit.
msi is rated "D" and asus is rated "A". they seemed to have ripped off quite a bit from asus here. which is a good thing. i want the msi, but am afraid of reliability. has that changed now with this new design?
@VuugoTV -Both i guess. might be a moot point though. on that same "site" HP was rated the lowest, and on another i saw, HP was near the top of the list. i literally just got back from fed-ex returning the MSI GX780-011us, "most" sites claimed it was matte, i emailed first to verify it was a matte, they confirmed it was, (based on info from MSI) and when i got it, it was definitely glossy and even said so on the info sticker. MSI said ALL "780's" are matte. i couldnt handle the glare.
"So heard you like gaming" LOL ....I will buy this computer today, too happy!!!
