The japan supermarkets are much better then here, everything is organized and not cramped like what we have here.. And also they're clean compared to the dirty ones here.. The funny thing that I have noticed about the stores in japan is that all the product packaging are shiny ...

It points a certain group of people. racism does not only include skin color. Not to point out a bunch of racial terms, but Jap is just one pointed at the Japanese. for Koreans there "gook", for Vietnamese there "charlie" (though I barely consider that one) etc..

Appart from the food in it, it looks just like any other supermarket... (around Australia that is).

And yeah, advantage of Japan is that you can do nearly anything and people barely give you a first look, let alone a second, for things like filming a shop/yourself/someone else.

Seems to be our culture to need to know what someone is doing.

Historically yeah, and I guess it depends what country your from.

I have a couple of Japanese friends (I am Australian), as they/we often call Japanese "japs" but thankfully we here seem to be more evolved than other countries when it comes to social regards, and the term is recognised by many as similar to 'aussies' as being Australian.

I have a real thing for supermarkets in other countries, it's kind of odd... one of the first things I try to do when I'm on holiday somewhere else is try to get to a super market. I also have SuperSuperMarketSense (TM) and I seem to be able to find everything no matter what kind of supermarket it is, even if I haven't been there before and all the aisles are differently laid out :P When I went to Japan, I couldn't get to a supermarket and I was miffed! They look lovely :D

Alright, it's official that supermarket kicks @ss. Because I am so sick and tired of the American pop music that is played everywhere I go in the public stores.Finally there is a place that understands my stress.
