That's one of the root causes of generation after generation of broke black artists living in poverty and people having to give them donations whilst some CEO can send his children to Harvard and Yale.

No publishing = no rights to your work or control over what happens with it, that's without even mentioning royalties. He should know better than that...

I read the book. I thought it was a good book, aside from agreeing with oldharve about watching something as it unfolds, I thought Curry's account was passionate. I really empathize with the guy because when everything was going down with D-Block, formerly The Lox, I was younger and wanting to understand why one of the most lyrically talented groups out there was having difficulties. After watching the first season of Making The Band, I recognized something was going on.
