Well thats the way to go with an akai synth25 thats what I got with nano studio I use them both beatmaker and nano. Then run my sounds through logic pro9 on my mac when Im on the road. Or waiten for my slow ass girlfriend everywhere we go. LOL.

I'm finding it hard to change from Reason and Fruity Loops to Beat Maker as i NEVER Sample i always create my own songs so i'm gonna spend an hour or so going through your videos on sampling :-) i hope i find it easier after

I hear ya crushablake. Beatmaker is an iPhone app so you don't have to change what you're using. If you want you can actually make custom kits in FL Studio then use them in Beatmaker when you're on the go away from your studio.

Try using fruity loops 8, it is similar to beatmaker in terms of sequencing (as well it is very powerful, what a brutal name for the software. Beatmaker just takes a little practice.

Yea man. With the Beat Pack Server app that comes with it you can load and import your drumkits, samples, and sounds to then take them on the road and make beats all day. I loaded some crazy samples that I had been using in FL, Reason and MPC and was able to use the same samples in the Beatmaker iPhone app. The pad response and loop recording is crazy. Plus now they have audio recording into the pads. It is over!!!

Personally, I would prefer an I phone version of Fl Studio; with sequencer, piano roll, playlist, mixer, ability to render mp3s etc.

However that would be very RAM & Data intensive, so probably a smaller version would be suitable.

1 problem; Iphones loose credability due to the whole DRM Itunes business, so, lol, you couldnt listen to the mp3 you've just made.

Hi GrimeUnearthed, I agree - an iPhone version of FL Studio would be insane especially seeing as theres an Audio Recording MIC input on the iPhone which Intua Beatmaker is now utilizing with version 1.3 of their mobile-beatmaking iPhone app.

Yes, DRM is a bitch but I believe you can export your beat as a WAV. I will confirm this with Still Born.
