In between the shows, Pia always goes back to her appartement.

Pia: "Yeah, then I'll make a nice tuna salad or fry an egg or a healthy meal... Because I played here once, there's a chance they will ask me again, because if they don't have anyone, they take someone from abroad. They do that a lot. There are people here who return 6 times! But because I'm European, they will only do that when it's very necessary.

And I sat there, and suddenly I started to cry! I said: Oh, I'm on Broadway! The contact is less, here, in the show. It's fun and cosy, but you sense it's not for ever, not for deep, not for a long time. And then, I miss my friends. So on my days off, I try to do fun things. I realise I have to rest a bit more, because it is very hard.

Chicago changes every 6 to 8 weeks, so I'm the 40st Velma. So the people love it, but they go on with their life.

So I didn't have the time to realise I was on Broadway! That was insane! Luckily, because otherwise I would have died from the nerves! Because in England, I had a little black-out on the first night, so I thought: Oh no, if that happens again! So I went playing, with my jetlag-head, with all the notes in my head of that day. I did the show, and I had fun! The next day I had interviews, a show again, a double show after that and Monday I had a day off. I went to have a coffee with some people.
