That is stupid, a known rumour in Sweden says that the police can't go past 200km/h in a pursuit, which is not true, they can, just as they can chase mopedists without helmets. It's just that most cops don't wanna do It because of the risks, that's what several officers told me.

I though the governer on most 1986-1995 Tauruses and Sables (not inculding police and SHO) wouldnt let them over 90 mph. Their speedometers only went up to 85 mph.
For all the misinformed, Camden County is located in the southeast corner of this state (Georgia) NOT South Carolina, Florida, or any other states. The video starts on I-95. They were probably heading for the north hence them passing thru Camden Co., GA.
Why the hell would they steal that thing? The video is from 1998 and they stopped producing that design of Taurus in 1991, which means the car was already *at least* 7 years old.
Chances are they they stole it just to see if they could get away with it. If they were being serious, they probably would've stolen a BMW or something.

If you are breaking the law and are putting other people in the public in danger, then law enforcement has to do what they have to do to remove that threat to the public. Each police dept has their own standard operating procedure on high speed pursuits. What would people of said, if the cops just followed and these kids crashed into a car seriously hurting or killing a family with little kids?.
They never show the times that cops end up killing some kid who did something dumb as all kids do - if they held back rather than making the kid run at high speed chances are nothing would go wrong. a stolen car is worth less than a life.

The reason they PIT is simple..It usually works and is safer than shooting tires out or spikes as sometimes the suspect doesn't stop and will run on flats til the wheels fall off.

Ironically "INSANE PURSUITS" like this one are much more dangerous than the criminals fleeing themselves. If they would just hold back and examine the car's progress from a helicopter, and not try to pit someone at 90+ mph then it would work much better.

I though the governer on most 1986-1995 Tauruses and Sables (not inculding police and SHO) wouldnt let them over 90 mph. Their speedometers only went up to 85 mph.

For all the misinformed, Camden County is located in the southeast corner of this state (Georgia) NOT South Carolina, Florida, or any other states. The video starts on I-95. They were probably heading for the north hence them passing thru Camden Co., GA.

Why the hell would they steal that thing? The video is from 1998 and they stopped producing that design of Taurus in 1991, which means the car was already *at least* 7 years old.
Chances are they they stole it just to see if they could get away with it. If they were being serious, they probably would've stolen a BMW or something.

If you are breaking the law and are putting other people in the public in danger, then law enforcement has to do what they have to do to remove that threat to the public. Each police dept has their own standard operating procedure on high speed pursuits. What would people of said, if the cops just followed and these kids crashed into a car seriously hurting or killing a family with little kids?.

They never show the times that cops end up killing some kid who did something dumb as all kids do - if they held back rather than making the kid run at high speed chances are nothing would go wrong. a stolen car is worth less than a life.

The reason they PIT is simple..It usually works and is safer than shooting tires out or spikes as sometimes the suspect doesn't stop and will run on flats til the wheels fall off.

If it's a older cop car it's more likely going to crush the rear right up the the engine and turn the occupants to pulp....My mom had a Old Cop Car and cashed into a Telephone Pole...the pole fell down and their wasn't a dent on the Car (Iron Frame..you know actually designed for "ramming maneuvers")
