i was wonder what church are you part of?

  • @1919rollyB He attends Christ Presbyterian Church in either Nashville or Franklin (not sure which) and his kids all either graduated from or currently attend the private school run by the church.

  • Steven,

Thank you for your love for Christ. Thank you for sharing your wonderful gift of music and beautiful words.

  • I love his realness. That he is like all of us figuring out as we go how to walk the walk. And how with each new thing we learn more of a different aspect of God, even in the hard stuff- God uses it in our lives to show us more of Himself.

  • This is a beautiful song, one of Steven Curtis Chapman's best.

  • i love this song, this song always reminds me of my older brother that is in Heaven right now, i always cry when i listen to this song.

  • this really helps me cope with my dads and grandpas death i know know that they will show me around when i found these songs i just had to listen to them again and again Thankn You so much

  • I LOVE YOU STEVEN CURTIS CHAPMAN AND GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!!!!

  • This song has meant a lot to me in the last couple months as I struggle with the loss of a relationship that meant the world to me. I realize it's not quite so dramatic as the death of a child, but my heart still aches and yearns for the things of Heaven. I'm teaching myself guitar at the moment, and this is one of the first songs I've been learning. Thank you for the encouragement and the hope this song brings.

  • his song is so Sad :(

  • Please pray for the former worship pastor, Pastor Josh, from my church. He just lost his wife tonight from a long battle (9 yrs.) with breast cancer. His wife, Amy, leaves behind a husband & 2 young daughters. She was just about to turn 37 in a week. They also adopted a little girl from China (their youngest). Please be praying for everyone involved! A lot of hearts are heavy tonight!

  • so few artists can make me cry.. but this makes me cry everytime I hear it.. I can't wait for you to meet her. What a joyful day that will be.. anytime you feel sad.. just imagine her dancing and twirling and being in the midst of the beauty and love that surround her.. one day she will take you by the hand and show you everything.. <3

  • I'm in a spirtual crisis, since my son died. I'm trying to get to the place that Steven Curtis is...this song certainly helps. Thank you kind sir, with the beautiful voice.

  • I can't wait to be with God in Heaven.. Thumbs up if you agree[:

  • my condolences

  • steven curtis chapmen you are a amazing christian

  • Steven, you walk the talk. God bless you for being such loving father, and at the same time such a strong man of God.

  • Thank you so much for writing this song! I've lost my daughter a month after your daughter Maria pass away in 2008. She would of been 2 years old. I see that your daughter is Asian and so is mine. Her father is White and I'm Vietnamese. And seeing your video of Maria remind me so much of my daughter.

  • listening to him, i now understand why he says he misses her sweet maple syrup kiss.

  • God is good, all the time. EVERYthing is for His glory, and for our good. I don't know how people live, not realizing His Sovereignty! KEEP ON KEEPING ON! The church needs you!

  • Steven, I love you. Blessings <3

  • You can tell that Steven Curtis Chapman was fighting back tears when he talked about Maria. R.I.P. Maria Sue Chapman. See you in Heaven my fellow Daddy's Little Girl.

  • Maria died peacefully surrounded by the people who loved her. I'm sure her final thoughts where about y'all. Once you get to Heaven someday I'm sure that God will allow Maria to give you and the rest of your family a tour of Heaven. "Heaven Is The Face" makes me think of my Dad. He died in a Skydiving Accident on 9/11/05.

  • I knew when I heard it, that this song was about, or perhaps inspired by Marie Sue. Very moving song...

  • I am looking forward to seeing heaven in the face of my little Jenna-girl too. Thanks Stephen, for sharing this song. It makes me cry, but as you know, the tears are sometimes necessary and good too. Blessings to you and your family.

  • Keeping you all in my prayers..."Beauty Will Rise" is an incredible album...the rawness of it just about knocked the wind out of me. Utterly beautiful. God bless you all.

  • Just another day and on the way to do the mundaine driving along the highway and the guitar started playing, and as a missionary singer myself i could hear the longing in the guitar alone. I turned up the radio and i heard a voice singing about a girl at first i thought it was about a wife and then... it hit me this is Steven your call to God and i couldnt stop crying! I have 2 boys and a baby girl and we are asian and now i kiss her 100 times a day and make sure i get my maple kisses God bless

  • it really made me cry.. it's very obvious how much he misses maria sue.. simple things becomes special when the one doing those is gone.. :(

  • You can tell that Steven Curtis Chapman was fighting back tears when he talked about Maria.

  • Your such an inspiration to many of us. Through all this tragedy you still give all glory to God.

    "The Lord bless you and keep you;

The Lord make His face shine upon you,

    And be gracious to you;

The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace." Numbers 6: 24-26

  • Thanks Steven for such a wonderful and inspiring song.May our good Lord grant you all the grace to you and your family,,,I love this song...and may this be used for His Kingdom. Thanks

  • I'm driving into work and hear, "...with dark brown eyes that disappear when she smiles.", and I knew it was you, because I see the same thing when I'm looking into my beautiful daughter's almond eyes.

God continue to bless you Steven. I don't know how you do it. I imagine your pain, and I hold my two beautiful daughters closer and tighter - for that "I Thank You".

Peace be with you my friend.

Thanks for sharing your testimony and I would like to recomend you and those who have lost a family member to watch the movie Faith Like Potatoes and if you can also watch a nice mesage from TDJakes called Still Friend? Those 2 items helped me underteand a lot about thos situations. God Bless you and family.

  • You are a great man Steve, hope to have the chance to meet you one day here on earth, Please receive our greetings from Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. God Bless you and keep you strong in is hands.

  • Thanks Mr. Chapman for sharing.

  • May 21, 2008 forever etched into his memory, like Oct. 12, 2007 is for us. Although Luke is a boy, the song still describes how I feel. And the fact that they were both backed over makes it hit home.

  • Thank you Steven. You are a beautiful man and father. I have a little 5 year old and when I think about your loss, I get on my knees and thank God for her. We will all be together though as believers in Him. Stay strong and thank you again for your words and music as you continue to witness for the Kingdom.

  • This song touched me deeply thank you! I lost a brother in 1996 and I think of him always. The best thing is he's with grandma and grandpa and our loving ancestors on the other side.

  • Thank you so much, Steven, this song is beautiful. I just now came across your music on here and after losing my friend to cancer on september 9th 2009, your music is so healing. Thank you

  • hey i just realized...we will meet some day , when he comes as a thief in the night, and takes us home.........=)

  • @thinkwhatsyourlife

i cannot wait for that day!!

  • Have prayed for you and your family during this time. We will get to see those we love that have trusted Jesus again in Heaven and your song has been such an encouragement to me regarding a miscarriage I had. Thank you.

  • Thanks for sharing Steve. I appreciate your testimony here. I've been struggling at a different end, just lost my job 2 days before Christmas. Just signed our mortgage a few weeks before that. Been really discouraged for the past week, not being able to find work, but, you're thoughts on Heaven remind me of some Point of Grace lyrics, "In our hearts, we're already there". it's a matter of finding the right focus, that in the end, through Jesus we're victorious, whatever may happen before then.

  • i read the story online and now everytime i hear this song and February 20th I cry...I have 3 little brothers and I cant even imagine..im sooo sorry

  • Steven,

She is waiting for you...One day my brother, one day...

  • Thank you, for sharing your story and making it into a beautiful song that so many of us can listen to and be touched by. I couldn't say it better, heaven is the face of all those beautiful things the Lord has blessed us with, and so much more we can't even imagine. Lord, thank you for your promises and your love that fills the emptiness in our hearts, and we trust in you that it all happens for a reason.

  • Thank you steaven, you give hope to all those who have lossed a loved one. God bless you and your intire family you inspire me so much in not only this song but all your other ones too. You definatly give me hope knowing that one day we will all be led into our fathers arms by a loved one.

Thank you and God Bless You!

  • We love you and your family.God heales your heart. And you are a true blessing to me..

  • What A wonderful song. You made me believe in God

  • God Bless You Steven..you are amazing

    I love you!

  • Thank you Steven for this wonderful song. It brings so many memories of my little sister, who died many years ago when my dad was backing up the car and did not see her. He just bumped her but a piece of shale went into her brain and she died the next day. I have watched the pain in my mom and dad for years and I can just see Mary laying her head on my dad's chest.....thank you

  • God Bless You Steven.

  • Thank You Steven for sharing your heart with us.

  • you could say i know what you are going through only backwards, i recently lost my dad. and its hard, and this song is amazing, along with cinderella, i like imagining that moments like that would happen. it's my happy place

  • i LOVE you. you are awsome. my grandma died about a year ago it is so hard to let go. i love singing and i definatley love this song i wrote a song about my grandma and every time i sing it i cry i do not know how i could make a recording and sing in front of crouds witthout crying sorry about your daughter god bless you

  • Thank you for writing this song. It has helped so many. I lost my daughter in 2006 and heard about the release of this song on September 8th, 2009 Chelsea's bday. She would have been 12. I needed this song. Thank you!

  • Steven, God Bless You. I'm linking the song to the facebook tribute group for 3 children--the daughter, niece, and nephew of Canadian actor Jonathon Young --who died in a cabin fire on July 23rd this past summer. I was reminded of them when I first heard the song and I know that the family will appreciate hearing it too. Thank you so much for providing this opportunity to help someone heal--even if they are people I don't really know. God Bless <3

  • your song really hit home for me. I too lost someone very dear to me. It was my brother. You see, he was the heart of our family, he had cerebral palsy and my brothers and sister and I all helped my mom take care of him most of his life. He was such an amazing man, one of a kind and cannot wait to see him again. so thank you so much for that song. and may God continue to mend the ache so deep in your heart.

    God Bless

  • WOW. so I was at work yesterday when I heard JQ 99 talking about this song. and how it was recorded in a hotel in my city. ....weeellll, I actually worked at the hotel that you stayed at and remember when you and your crew came in. I was so excited to have you there. had no idea you were recording. I also heard the radio announcer say that if you listen closely you can hear someone banging on the wall saying.. "TURN OFF YOUR RADIO!!" haha ....just wanted to say ...

  • i love this man, what a faithful servant of the Lord. and a magnificent musician. God bless you SCC

  • Actually, as a technology consultant --I've been given a unique vantage of the potentials there. Computer networks make great analogs of just what is possible once the physical layer is moved out of the way. Paul wrote about IF we could understand all mysteries in a letter to Corinth. God has been showing me them for a long time. Lots of people take such things by faith alone, but what has been seen no longer requires faith -so in that regard, I am blessed -having seen -even but a glimpse.

  • The album can"t come soon enough. So many of us have struggled with loss. Whether it is the death of a child, the loss of a marriage, the loss of a job or health, this album will be a tool in the hand of God to minister to our heart"s deepest crevices.

God bless you, Steven! We love you and your family and pray often for you all!

  • God bless you, Mr. Chapman! You and your family are always in my prayers.

  • it's amazing to see a guy who ten years ago challenged listeners to "keep doin' the walk", and he himself being in the most justifiable cercumstances to abandon the trail is still doing the walk. integrity. amazing.

  • I cannot wait for this album!!

Your family is always in my prayers.

  • Thank you. Stirred up a longing for heaven in my heart.

  • I'm praying for you! I hope you and your family are all doing well! Thanks for blessing us all with your music!

  • Sweet sound!

  • He's the best, one of my favorite Christian artists... =]

  • me too. :)

  • HE IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!
