Apropos of nothing, it helps to realize that the Ayreon project is in fact a collaboration between /numerous/ artists. Arjen Anthony Lucassen is the songwriter, and a ridiculously talented man he is, but many of the artists responsible are just on one instrument or two. Of course, that's not me saying that you shouldn't buy these albums: the whole set comprises a story which is to progressive rock what the Lord of the Rings was to fantasy fiction.

Holy shit this is amazing. I mean, wow. The Human Equation is also amazing, but I didn't realize the rest of this guy's stuff was ALSO this great. Dammit, I'm gonna need to spend quite a lot of money on this guy. And that's why I hate SOPA; stuff like this ISN'T pirating, it's INTRODUCING people to new things!

Ayreon is my favourite band. One genius making awesome music, and doesn't care if there's not as much listener as there are for pop crap. He does it for passion and we can hear it. He's so damn brilliant and talented...

I started listening to Ayreon with the 01011001 album and loved it, listened it for years. Then i checked the older albums and realized they're just as good. Awesome work!

@SoulReaper599xx I think it a matter of exposure more than preferences. There would be millions of people listening to Ayreon if this music was more publicly accessible. I mean, lots of people don't have the time or desire to do some research and find artist with this much talent, so they are only exposed to music through the radio or TV, which is all based on money rather than the actual music.

The system deserves more blame than the people enslaved to it.

I love how diverse Ayreon are! This song almost sounds like a mix of the blues, R&B, and a few other genres. I just stumble across them myself, and I'm amazing at the skill and variety of this album.
