  • the devil didn't make you do it.....your just Satan........

  • Yayz! I successfully posted my video response! Thanks for the help with Windows Movie Maker Razua. I forgot to convert the WMVWM to WMP. (>-.-)>

  • I don't fear Hell, but I am terrified of people who do. I would love to be freed from THAT fear.

Anhelain, freed from SOME fear, 1984

  • Folks The Preview Video Is Above If You Want To Take A Look At It!

  • Great idea for a project. I have been free from fear for about 26 years, but having been indoctrinated in the relition of my parents, it was not an easy road.

  • You can watch the preview of this video above just click on the vid response that i made w/ the globe on it!!

  • Pascal's wager is nonsensical b/c it assumes only two options and even more that false number of options only has two outcomes, its truly a false dichotomy. It's a false ontology in the promotion of fear mongering. Like its always been said , how do you subvert a group people to you will the easy way? Fear. There is truly nothing to fear but fear itself.

  • And the day will come when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the supreme being as his father in the womb of a virgin will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerve in the brain of Jupiter. But may we hope that the dawn of reason and freedom of thought in these United States will do away with this artificial scaffolding, and restore to us the primitive and genuine doctrines of this most venerated reformer of human errors.

-Thomas Jefferson, Letter to John Adams, April 11, 1823

  • Me, Free from religion 2005 after many many hours of studying science, biology, and history. It dawned on me that religion is for the egotistic and naive and even more its just plain silly when put into context with reality involves to much doublethink. About hell; Thomas Jefferson- "If there be one (God) he must approve of the homage of reason more than that of blindfolded fear."

  • Right-o!!! Amen :)

  • not true! my mother has been so called saved all of her life. And at 80 is suffering a horrible evil. In fact has suffered and struggled thru all of her life.

  • For anyone wondering I am currently in the process of editing all the video responses as part of the first phase. During this time this project will still be open for others to get in b4 i begin to start the main project video!

  • I have no fear. Hell does not exist. Priests, Preachers, and Mullahs want to preach, not discuss. Why? Because they spew the same old bullshit... worship MY god or burn in hell! They are fear mongers. But THEY fear the truth. They know that open discussion will lead to the obvious conclusion that they cling to absurd fairy tales written by primitive men.

  • AMEN AND AMEN!!!!

  • So very true! They are afraid that if you were to openly discuss it with them in a logical, rasional way, you will plant the seed of doubt in their and their congragations heads, which cannot be acceptable... so the law was to kill any non-believers was it not?

  • ....what if the a-theists are wrong? 'Just asking.

  • okay; wrong about which religion? Besides there has been no evidence to prove anything to be worried about being wrong in to begin with. Should I be afraid of not believing in ALL the unproven claims out there in the world?

  • then we are wrong, ever saked the same thing to yourself?

  • Any God-Believing person who has not had doubts is a fool. The Great Holy Spirit enjoys a good discussion over existence.

  • Great idea.

  • Jarle - Freed from religion 2000.

  • Spanky - Born again Christian, freed from Hell since 1985.

  • LOL

  • cute...

  • Meg, freed from religion 2007.

  • I will be adding your text response, thanks for the support!

  • Jeff - Born, Freed From Fear 1989

  • I will add your text response!

  • LABELS

Labels, labels everywhere what do they mean why should we care,

Labels are meaningless and only serve to divide us,

Labels on people labels on groups tear off the labels and unite the world into one hoop,

Labels are strong labels are unjust labels are wrong, forget them we must,

Labels to the children of the future shall be unknown if this world is to remain their home,

Ash's to ash's, dust to dust remove the labels and build upon trust.

  • ah i forgot to do this yesterday. I promise it'll be in by tonight.

  • Richard - Started questionning faith: as a young kid - Freed from fear: 2007, aged 21

Special thanks to: Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, Daniel Dennett, Rational Response Squad, Brian Flemming, and various youtube users mainly nick gisbourne, pat condell, razua77, greydonsquare and rabidape(among many others). Special thanks also to those who tried to brainwash me so hard to believe that it backfired.

    Halleluliah!!

  • Hu-man brother!

  • Hey, I'm glad I could be apart of what helped you out; I am honored to be on your list above and gladly say you are welcomed!!! I'll be adding your text response!!

  • Ha ha. Richard Dawkins actually uses a scale (to rate belief in God) from 1 to 7, 1 being a full on believer and 7 being a total doubter. He places himself at 6.8, I place myself at 6 2/3 ;)

  • If you count up the alphabet to the letter F, it's the 6th number. So FFF translates to 666, the devils number!

(haha sorry, I'm actually an atheist, but I just had to say this to get the crazy religious types riled :D)

  • LMAO; you know what, i didn't even realize that it led up to 666. HA! The religious are going to have a field day and think it was done intentionally as some secret code.

  • haha Mikimu

  • Pascal's wager set me free. They used it on me at 13 and a light came on. Life's for living, it's not some test. I consider it the day my childhood ended.

Now I seek to pass on the beauty of rational living to others. Can I get a "Hu-man"?

  • Hu-man! Thanks for adding the video, it is appreciated!!!

  • How bout them Yankees? I'll be pissed beyond belief if they even make the wildcard. I think most Atheists do fear death. Whats more frightening than losing one's consciousness for eternity? I know that it scares me.

  • Well I'm not a Yankees fan; I just like the hat. This video is not in regard to if u fear death or not; it's about not fearing the nonsense religion holds over your head. I for one don't fear death; I don't want to die, but I'm not running around fearing it if that's what has to happen.

  • This project amuses us.

  • ieanascores "nice vid, pleave view my profile!" Hey, I got to hand it to u; out of all the spammers on YT u have clearly come up w/ the best tactic so far! Thx 4 the waste of space & time.

  • Are you a rapperdy rapper?

  • Nah, not at all; it's just my silly get up for my YT vids! I can't rap for spit!

  • Roger, born free of fear.

  • Stephen, born free from fear.

  • While I Support Your Right To Not Believe, I Want To Say That I Do Not Fear Death. I Do Not Fear Hell And Damnation. The Higher Power (God) I Believe In Is Not A Damning God. God Is Love And Forgiveness. I Do Believe That There Are Crimes That Are "Unforgiveable", But I Do Not Believe We Need To Fear God, If We Try Our Best To Live A Moral Life.

  • A Man Will Not Go To "Hell" For Stealing A Pack Of Cigarettes & Then Smoking It. My God Knows We Are Human, And Face Human Challanges & Temptations. Have A Great Day ;0)

    Roberta

  • Nah; it's much worse. Your god will be (not really since he doesn't exist) damning ppl who didn't believe in something that had no evidence though some lived a life morally equal to or greater than xtians.

  • Don't know what god you're following but the god of the bible is definitely a damning god. god is love & forgiveness b/c the bible says so or b/c you've seen proof of such? Even the book does a bad job on that spin. According to the book living a moral life is not good enough. Your version of xtiananity (or whatever) is clearly different than the gods of the religions i'm speaking of.

  • The God That "I" Believe In Is Not Damning. And The Bible Can Be Interprited Many Different Ways, And Has Been Rewritten Many Times. May I Ask You What Harm It Is To Believe When My Life Is Over, That My Soul Will Live In Peace Because I Believe In A God? That Is A Whole Lot Better Than Dissing Him And Finding Out That There Is A "Hell".

  • Of Course; Unlike A Lot Of So Called "Christians", I Do Not Believe One Will Go To Hell For The Sake Not Believing. I Think Hell Is Reserved For The Dregs Of Society. And Again, You Have Your Right To Not Believe. ;0)

    Roberta

  • I can see that you do come from a very liberal perspective of scripture. Your perspective sounds nice but it's not the perspective I see in scripture which I believe is very clear on the subject. If it was only 4 the dregs then there would've been no point to Jesus coming around to do anything nor would there be a point for religion. We go back to square one which is where I am already.

  • Pascal's Wager; nothing wrong with it at all per se. HOWEVER that same wager causes more harm than it'll ever cause good in humanity as a whole. If you want to believe in the unproven to comfort urself w/ the inevitable then that's unfortunate 4 u but completely understandable. However following the nonsense of religion to meet that comfort is where the harm takes place.

  • Of course that depends on how u r following scripture; if u r a liberal xtian leading a life/belief contrary to scriptures then xtiananity would sound like an easy way to make a safe bet regarding the supposed afterlife.

  • The first step is to separate yourself from the dogma.

  • I would post a video response but I don't have a camera. So I'll just post when I became Agnostic in text: Elyse officially freed from fear in the year 2003 at the age of 15. I was Episcopalian before then (some people call it Diet Catholic). But then I actually read the Bible and that made all the doubts from before really come full circle.

  • I'll et you a video response late tomorrow because I'll be away today and most of tomorrow. Only thing is I don't remember what year it was because I was so young. It was somewhere between 2004-2005.

  • No problem; go ahead and slap 2005 for the year and that'll do just fine!!! I appreciate the support!

  • Sounds like a great project! I'll hopefully post a video response soon, probably within the next day or so, maybe even tonight if you're lucky!

  • Well I appreciate your helping me out NaoTio; hopefully you'll be able to get it out 2nite or 2morrow!

  • Very good very good, I would post a video response if I had a camera and I wasn't trepidacious about certain people finding out(not God just people who I like but shall remain nameless)

  • I definitely understand bdaballa and appreciate your support via text response!

  • For those that can't post a video response I will try my best to include your response into the video nonetheless (almost like how they would put a blank photo w "photo not available" in yearbooks)!

  • THIS is what the "Blasphemy Challenge" should have been from the beginning. Great idea, man!

  • Someone else shared that opinion as well. I never thought of it in that way but I appreciate your support!

  • They wanted publicity. The shock value of blasphemy(although its a victimless crime) gets them the media attention which gets their voice heard. You sometimes have to play the game.

  • I agree Mjhavok, sometimes the only way to make tv is through "shock & awe". It's unfortunate but true many times!

  • Born free from fear! ;)

  • A.D. Young, free from fear 1999

However free from fear does not mean free video cameras so i could make my own video response.

  • I understand and appreciate the response none the less; I'll be sure to include those that were not able to post a video response as well!!!

  • i meant could not, but you get the picture

  • Awesome shades but bend the front of that hat a bit.

  • LOL, I've been trying to bend that sucker; I'll bend it a lil bit more!

  • :-D

  • Born free, free as the wind blows.. :p

  • Can ya make a vid response? I would appreciate it if you could!

  • Sure when I get a chance :)

  • Amen brother Shawn. I agree with you. Ppl who've never had a religious upbriniging may feel the need to experience it. Then again they may not. However, people like us can relish their freedom doubly, knowing what the alternative is. It just feels so damn good when i do a good deed purely because it is the right thing to do not because of some invisible character with issues.

  • I was very catholic when I was young. It practically dominated(ruined) my childhood. Now that i'm progressing in my process of religious healing, i've gone beyond the anger stage and I feel that the religious upbrining might have been a blessing in disguise. Having already expereienced the lies and idiocy of religion, I know I don't want to return. I've got a whole religion-free life ahead of me and i'm lovin' it :)

  • Yeah my religious experience ruined my early adulthood in ways that I'm still recovering from (thankfully no mental issues). But I agree with what you have said! AMEN to being free!

  • In my process of religious healing, i've come to think that my Christian upbringing was a blessing in disguise. Now that i've left that behind, I know I will not be returning. I have a whole religion-free life ahead of me and i'm lovin' it :)

  • I agree evolootin; b/c of religion I will now be able to live w/o having a thought of going back to it! There are some ppl who turn to it when they get older. For me I don't have to worry about trying to "get right w/ god" b4 I die! I KNOW WHY I REJECT RELIGION! AMEN!

  • Would it be ok to say: not yet free but fighting the fear?

  • That'll be fine; even fighting the fear is being free from it to me b/c you no longer submit your life to religion b/c of it! It is a tough fight but you are on the right side at least by being bold enough to fight it! So for you you can say "(name)...fighting the fear (year)"

  • I think this is a neat project ... I'll spread the word!

  • MFHF, you're so damn cool!

  • Thanks for spreading the fire I appreciate it!

  • Video on it's way. If you don't mind I used this as a chance to simultaneously criticize the Blasphemy Challenge. Details in the vid.

  • Awesome Idea, i'll get my camera...

  • You have my support as well.Time to spread the word:)

  • Found this via Larry. I like the idea, and will be submitting my own response!

  • One vid on its way in about 3 hrs

  • I'm going on vacation but I'll try to squeeze this in. If not: Pino, freed from fear 1977. To be honest, I was brought up Catholic but never really bought the whole thing. All the same I have vague memories of praying and being afraid of dying when I was 7. But that was definitely behind me when I was 11.

  • I hope you are able to squeeze it in rozeboosje; would love to see ya in it!

  • Great idea! I will do this as soon as I have a chance.

  • Thanks bryantulsa!

  • I'm going to spread the word.

  • Thanks themightylex for the support!!! I really want to make this an awesome collaboration in response to what has kept the sheepal stuck in religion for so long!

  • I meant to say "Joe Freed From Fear 2002", that's the theme "Freed From Fear"!
