  • would the pira have expected the coalman to be armed ? or was he a sitting duck for 3 heavily armed men ? and how is ni any different now from pre agreement ? and i mean to the republicans in the north ?

  • there were more than 8 against 3

  • what a load of bollox the english never stop lying

  • Why were they trying to kill a coal delivery man? plus it cant be because he did something wrong cos im sure tht they would have noticed it want the same man?

  • He was also a UDR man. The UDR were legitimate targets and as such were targets for the IRA.

  • SAS scum

  • HERO'S

  • rip you are forever loved

  • Note how a Volvo 340 drives up and on it's return it's a Ford Sierra!

  • I was at the monument a few weeks ago.

Its pathetic how it was continually vandalised by the police and loyalists, they've no respect for the dead

  • No i dont the SAS didnt crush anything at Cappagh whenthe EAST TYRONE bRIGADE FOILED THEIR AMBUSH AND TURNED IT ON THEM, THE KILLED 2 AND WOUNDED OTHERS, the brave SAS didnt even claim their dead, the RUC thought they were IRA, told the locals 2 of their boys were stiffed up there little did they know the RA hard stiffed them, 2 months later it was claimed they died in a car crash in Germany ????

  • defending your country makes you a terrorist these days :s . in my country in ww2 we named them resistend hero's. im for ira!!! be proud to die for your country greetz from holland

  • these boys where 2nd cuzins of mine , R.I.P

  • Ah well, we only have the word of the SAS on this one, and we all know how honest the British establishment are ... just wondering, do SAS recruit from all those skinhead bums who cause riots at football matches? Gimme Delta Force any day ... it's easy to be a thug, hard to be a professional.

  • R.i.p to those brave volunteers.

    up the pira forever

  • OH really, in Cappagh when they lost the ellement of surprise the RA stiffed 2 of them, Brits didnt even claim them, said they were killed in a car crash in Germany, some way to honour ur dead???!

  • This is Bullshit, why would experienced men, open fire 200 yards from their target when they drove past 3/4 times within touching distance, this isnt they way they worked, the SAS opened up straight away without the ASU getting off a round, these guys like to think they took them on in a gun battle which was pure lies!!!

  • the brits will never never beat the irish

  • martin & gerard harte are my cuzins R.I.P

  • so whats up with this so called peace thing with the brits and I.R.A. I am Irish american and have no info on whats going on over there cnn is run by our bullshit goverment so who knows what is true and whats a lie. P.S GOD BLESS THE IRA

  • wat the clean f........

  • P.I.R.A. have decommisioned arms in exchange for prisoners, the withdrawl of British soldiers, and joint government between Britian and R.o.I.. Northern Ireland is in the U.K. but not Britain.

  • drumnanakilly mayrters were good men. my cusins.they were killing the coal man because he was in the U.V.F he was a scumbag.R.I.P drumnakilly mayrters

  • RIP Brave Volunteers.

  • bastards!

    Drumnakilly Martyers R.I.P.

  • there has been a number of proven cases where british troops did indeed open fire on both unarmed ira men and civilians and the shoot to kill policy was in affect for much of the troubles. Not only this but 'death squads' were sent into the republicto target ira members eg armed SAS troops caught in civilian clothing and with unoffical weapons on the dundalk border

  • ther waz no gunfire from the 3 IRA men, evidence shows this, because an s.a.s soldier says that they where hanging out of a window shooting don't make it true. instead the s.a.s open fired.

Therez a memorial garden here in Carrickmore and a hartes memorial in lochmacrory come up and piss on them then zxrhero, no point just talkin bot it!!

  • true, theres no witnesses so no one to contradict the sas but the reality is that there was a murder policy just to terrorise catholics long before the ira had as much as a sling shot. All part of Kitsons wider plan for political control and to counter political moves by irish/catholics. The 'shoot to kill' policy was just a more streamlined version later on, to target republicans and ira suspects, political activists. Murder and state terror by the british govt.

  • yeah nice bloke part time udr part time caol man fulltime loyist death squad brits get the fuck out of ireland

  • There was no man that them men had to kill, as the sas man said, it was a lure. Brits had planned to kill them men all along, no man was to survive. R.I.P

  • God Bless Brian, Gerard and Martin. Keep us right.

  • i was speaking metaphorically, i have no idea what kind of gun it was. you have to read my comment with sarcasm in mind also. my understanding is that the attacked the soldier who were nearby with the guy they'd swapped, so they had more than 1 person to shoot at, thats why.

  • It jus goes to prove that the brit goverment were desperate , to try and stop the I.R.A. from winnin the war. the sas won that day , and the ra won the next, with no questions asked on either side. it was the dirty war.

  • "Was there ever a shoot to kill policy?"

    What a fucking idiot!

  • its a fair question , not everyone hass the same understanding an knowldge of the conflict. wouldtnt it be better to say yes an point at the overwhelming evidence that there was indeed a shoot to kill/muder ploicy -ie- state sponsored terror by british govt.

  • That fucker eddie stone , a sas member was involved. in that shoot to kill policy, on that fateful day. They opened up with horrendous and discriminating gun fire on them brave sons of eire, who died for there country....R.I.P. sons, of eire , (IRELAND).

  • i think you meant to write "indiscriminating gunfire" but you are right, discriminating meaning they shot the ones who deserved to be shit.

  • Sorry i forgot my in.. thanks for remindin me, da ould english language can be a load of shit at times..

  • british propaganda, three inocent men

  • i dont think the british really need any propaganda... they do it for themselves blowing shit up all over the place and killing innocent people... and before you call me british or imperialistic or whatever these people keep saying..... i'm irish

  • R.I.P 3 brave Volunteers

God Bless all those who gave their lives to drive the British out of the North of Ireland

  • I hope you don't come back alive from Iraq, you English imperialist cunt.

  • matin and gerard wer my 2nd cousins and 4 wat dose blak british bastards done 2 dem they wil pay so tiocfaidh ar la and up d ra RIP MARTIN GERARD BRIAN

  • I cant understand why they got murdered, there was no evidence that they were trying to kill anyone! Damn its good those days are over!!!

  • Im only going by the Statement released after the Ambush. In the Statement Ó.N.E. said that 3 members of the Mid Tyrone Brigade were killed on active serivce. I take your point but im only going by the Statement released by the RA after the shooting.

  • The Provos said a lot of things that were not necessarily factually true, for strategic reasons. Mid-Tyrone had an OC and a second in command but no Brigade structure, they were more like a platoon who linked up with other platoons in Dungannon, Cappagh, Coalisland, Loughshore as well as north Monaghan and South Derry areas to form the East Tyrone Brigade. RIP Drumnakilly martyrs.

  • No way it was a cell structure, west Tyrone had there own Brigade, Dugannon etc, were east Tyrone

  • West Tyrone had their own Brigade based mainly in Castlederg/Dromore/Aghyarn/Greencastle etc.

Loughmacrory,Kildress,Galbally, Carrickmore,Ballygawley,Pomeroy all worked through other and were aligned to the ETB. The Hartes were therefore in the ETB PIRA.

  • which i what i said?????

  • Good video to have on here. However there was no such thing as the 'Mid-Tyrone Brigade' of the IRA. Volunteers from Mid and East Tyrone fought under the East Tyrone Brigade, The Hartes and Brian Mullin were members of the ETB.
