  • You will need: knitting needles, 20 grit sandpaper :P

  • um...to the genius trying his hardest to use the sharpening stone, how bout using a little water, makes it last longer...

  • Don't add twine

  • i was all into this vid until it said things tou need and got to safety equipment then it was pointless to make them....jk this was a great vid

  • @antichristclub teacher master? Sounds like a buncha bullsh!t.

  • quick note. that wrapping technique for the string is called whipping..

  • note: use water as a lubricant on your stone or you will end up ruining it

  • Im jealous u have shuriken

  • eh... did u copy meh video???

  • i thought it said rape but it said tape XD

  • never EVER use gloves man... hand could get caught, then there goes your hand bro.

  • yeah its common practice to not use gloves while using a bench grinder, could that glove caught and really mess up your hand, when grinding if the metal gets a little hot just let it cool then go back at it if its to hot for your hand. Good call on safety glassess

  • kid just made a prison shank

  • heres one i made earlier XD

  • at 0:32 i thought it said and jus sum wine lol

  • nice spikes

  • damn dats sum big ass nails

  • is that just a big nail if so awesome because i can find one in my garage

  • im going to slap your penis

  • Problem.

There is a rope on them.

Changing the center of gravity, and making them a uneven weight.

These pieces of shit are only good for caryng around as a fashion statement.

    o_o.

    That just wont work,i'm sorry.

Im from mass too,I know they schools suck balls but shit, have you even heard the word aerodynamics? Physics maybe?

  • @AntiChristClub You obviously dont know how to throw.

find the centre of balance and hold it in the right place. You can throw the most unbalanced knife in the world - just study the knife.

Adding a bit of red ribbon onto the ends would increase drag on the tail-end, helping keep it straight and make them even easier to throw. Also makes 'em easier to find.

Can you throw a screwdriver into a tree?I can quite easily. They've got TERRIBLE balance and aerodynamics.

Dont preach what you dont know.

  • @englandinacan I can throw great I learnt in Japan where I am from, and I have never heard of anyone throwing a screwdriver into a tree ever. I am just "preaching"what my teacher master taught me, I guess ill be youtubing this screwdriver thing now

  • @liamvanvel1996 yea thts prob true, lol

  • stop hatin i dont see anyone else doin this

  • nice job. I will try this.

  • this is a kunai. lolz

  • @pokemon940 no its a bo shuriken your just addicted to naruto

  • @pokemon940 You are a fucking fool,Dont bring that anime shit in here this is a real throwing fucking tool. Not some Naruto bullshit.

  • lol im from new york, idc what i do or make i have a bbgun in mah house and broughtt a knife from italy. i never take em out in pubblic lolz.

  • u can just get metal chopsticks and sharpen it which is the traditional way i believe. or buy a screw and put a straw in the end to make it spin

  • cheap? the grinding thing will cost about 100 bucks!

  • ha I live in AZ so i can walk around with a pistol........without licence

  • @kakuzu2099 Yeah, thats why I'll never go to AZ...

  • @kakuzu2099 smart thing to say here pal... where everybody can see it

  • Man i hate it when naruto fags make videos

jk, very informative, works much better then my current throwing spike. thanks.

  • they dont work fagget stab your freaken eyes or somthing

  • ok they dont look very balanced and i bet it more for shanking

  • what is the mask glozes and goggles for u must be a real pussy to need those for grinding and the sparms a hot thayl just burn thru the mask

  • @cholomono12 dude my uncle got a metal splinter in his eye and they had to pop his eye out of the socket and remove with a magnet. and ive had a metal splinter in my mouth b4

  • 2:03 I have the same wrist band as you :P

  • i've noticed that in california it is basically illeagal to protect myself so fuck cali

  • looks like somebodddyyys been watching to much faggy narrrruttoooo

  • you know what they say about gingers dont you?

  • can they throw as well as the ones you buy?

  • Us mexicans call it a shank

  • @The7Grey7Fox as far as I know, shanks aren't to be thrown, but to stab...

  • Gay

  • i would make the CG at the tip. that would increase your chance of the spike piercing the target.

  • they look a bit off wheres the center point of gravity

  • Would you recommend that I remove the ends of nails with a saw ?

  • i just learned how to throw them a week ago and now im fairly good at it, i even learned how to throw 3 at a time, this is a realy fun hobbie if any 1 is looking for one

  • @friedrice60 i wanna learn how

  • all you do is instead of throwing them you let them slip out of your hands with enough force to hit the wall, and lay them on your hand with the back piece on your palm

  • yeah i learned how to throw one too here in youtube and actualy trying to throw a butterfly knife on the the door lol. butterfly knives are fun hobbies too:D (for me)

  • how did you throw 3 at a time i want to do plx

  • @inuyasharocks2468 Rofl to much t.v. what the fuck?ahahahahahahahhahahhaha

  • cool

  • You guys are idiots. You're never going to believe the other's opinion so just take what you know is right and stick with it.

  • dude that's not a shuirken thouse are throwing spikes

  • dude, a shuriken is a small thrown blade, hidden behind the hand.

  • This is a bo shuriken (throwing spike), the throwing stars are shuken (or hira) shuriken.

  • @bleachmaster1011 throwings spikes is what bo shuriken are.

  • exactly wat is the point of the twine?

  • I dont call this a Bo shuriken knife, i call that a Clue with a rope on it.

  • Weighted projectiles are for those who need handicaps in throwing. Real throwers can improvise. At least this guy is doing something productive. Almost anything sharp is useful for throwing but you would realize that if you had any experience with it.

  • agree'd, I made some throwing spikes from just cutting the ends off of some pokers you use for hotdogs while camping, I needed no weight and could throw it from 3-40 feet away.

  • What a load of shit. You cant just take nails and wrap some string around them and call them bo-shuriken. They would be useless for throwing, not even balanced or weighted at the top. This video is pointless.

  • what a load of shit you can throw anything, from anywhere, as long as it is sharp. the balance you make with your throw style and grip, unless you are one of those pathetic useless throwers that need to count spins, distances, and get special targets that will not bounce their objects. if you are really interested in "knife throwing" do yourself a favor and stop that nonsense. develop your own way of throwing, and make them behave like spears.

  • Yes you can throw anything.....Very good. Hes throwing 6" nails with shit attached . It has nothing to do with spins/rotation. Im sure he has very-well come up with hes own way of throwing NAILS!!!. but this vid is not about throwing technique, its about shuriken.

  • exactly. a shuriken is a small sharp object, be it a dagger, a knife, or even a pencil (sharp) hidden or concealed behind the hand. also it has everything to do with them, as they are meant for throwing. if you are not adept at throwing, you must count them, and have special knives for it. if you are adept, you can put a needle through a target from a decent distance. also, last i looked, it was twine, not shit. twine is rough, which gives a better grip, and prevents hitting the nail head.

  • The more you talk about throwing the less I think you know, Its a shuriken not a knife, so when you throw it, its meant to fly thought the air like a spear, I.E. ITS NOT MEANT TO ROTATE so there's nothing to count.

  • a shuriken IS a knife, or a nail, or a pencil, or a needle etc., easy to conceal behind the hand, mainly for throwing purposes. also, whether it is meant to rotate or not, mediocre throws will make it spin(lazy wrists, or first time throwers who keep flicking their wrists) and if it IS meant to spin, a decent throw will prevent the shuriken from ever rotating.

  • Its like your reading this from a book and just posting it.

  • @Dirtymurder

    how so?

  • Ok, a shuriken is not a knife. It is a throwing star with 4 points and on each point it has 2 razor sharp blades so that equals 8 razor sharp blades that are MENT to spin and stick in whatever they hit. A kunai is a throwing knife that is not ment to spin but fly like a dagger. Master knife throwers have to make the knife spin to hit the target you cant make a knife fly straight at expect it to hit the target. Get you fucking facts straight before you go and diss someone for do it the right way.

  • Most of your facts are right so :) for that, but bo shuriken are shuriken, just a different type. Star shuriken are called hira or shuken shuriken. And there are no-spin techniques of knife throwing, they're just really hard.

  • @Awall10101

    Actually you're wrong.

A kunai isn't meant for throwing nor was it meant to be a knife.

A throwing knife would be a Shuriken.

Master knife throwers can choose to use spin throws if they want. But if you want true combat accuracy(where you don't have to throw at a certain distance). You can do something called a No-Spin throw.

Master knife throwers can throw with a No-spin. I myself can throw with a no-spin throw.

  • @Awall10101 you can throw a knife so it doesn't spin. just do a search on "no spin knife throws". and a kunai was never a knife. it was a gardening tool. primarily used for planting rice and breaking up dirt. so go talk to someone else about getting their facts straight.

  • @stixplayer015 Dude, i commented on this like a long time ago... okay? ive learned more than i did know

  • Comment removed

  • manilla rope is not really good for knots. it looks cool and all but it gets stuck alot and its a pain on your fingers. you should use artificial fiber rope instead

  • Yeah, I made some of these and they work. They have good balance and seem to impact well. Please, try this at home !!

  • CARROT TOP! iN THE HOUSE!!!!

  • ns video bro

  • looks like a shank

  • Sharp...pointy...shiny...Yep definitely a shank worthy item, only you can throw it.

  • dude why are you trying to use technical terms, if it increasees "air drag" then its gonna make it slower. im not saying that ribbons dont make it fly better (becuase they probably do), but if so, just say "if you use ribbons for the tail it flys better."

  • For your tail, it works 150% better with ribbon. It weighs less and increases air drag.

  • cool bro wanna see more from you ;)

  • that file could b used as a bo shuriken

  • friggin sweet napolien!

  • bad twine dont use that sort , use a softer lighter twine , this one is to stiff

  • Nice work dude...........

  • please tell me you didnt try to use that wet stone dry.

  • I do the same thing, except I saw off the flat part on the nail.

  • wow thats cool! lol i wish i had a metal grinder..., do you think i could use a cinder block to habd sharpen and taper it?

  • Too bad I'm from Massachusetts, where it's legal to throw these IN MY YARD on PRIVATE PROPERTY and do such so long as they stay within my control, within my property, and are not possessed or concealed in public.

  • Lol pwnd

  • utter pwnage right there xD

  • Well Said. 5/5

  • destruction!

    is this legal in texas???

  • yes they are. trust me. but if you have it concealed, and its longer than 4.5 inches, then it is a hefty fine. same goes for knifes. you may have them in your BACK yard in texas for throwing. do not throw them in your front yard in texas if you are in a suburb, city, or in any populated area. farms... well, you can throw them anywhere. lol

  • @sinmaiXkid ya its the same in California

  • @sinmaiXkid Go Celtics!

  • @sinmaiXkid Here in NZ you now need police authorisation to import any thrown weapons- ie they're gonna decline you unless you're putting a show on or you're a martial arts instructor. It's fucking stupid.

I have plenty of homemade bo and a nice amount of factory-made knives and stars that I bought before the law change. No way are they stopping me practise.

I have a 120lb crossbow, and all that it takes to own one legally is being over 18.

No training or anything. What's more dangerous in

  • [char limit] untrained hands? Someone who isnt trained cant even throw a knife into corkboard. It'll hit on the wrong end and bounce off. Anyone can pick up a 120lb crossbow and shoot a very accurate and very lethal shot.

  • Bo shuriken are legal in California, their considered knives by the law. The multi sided "Ninja Star" shuriken are illegal, though I see them all the time in the Bay Area.

  • my friend has a set of 2

  • @obscenemuse dude what are you talking about in California u can have any type of knife including switch blades balisongs OTF knives etc. you just cant have it concealed in public but on your own property its completely legal to own

  • @obscenemuse

California's definition of a shuriken does not cover bo-shuriken. It only applies to hira shuriken (stars). Otherwise every pen, screwdriver, nail, or needle would be illegal.

    Terminology in PC 12020:

"shuriken" means any instrument, without handles, consisting of a metal plate having three or more radiating points with one or more sharp edges and designed in the shape of a polygon, trefoil, cross, star, diamond, or other geometric shape for use as a weapon for throwing.

  • @HathegKla13 .geometric shape for use as a weapon for throwing. ,good job california. that last statement covered bo shuriken as well as dishes sandals and every other thrown object.

geometric shape=all shapes are including a line

use as a weapon for throwing.=any thrown item with intent to harm is a shuriken

  • @HathegKla13 Mai nigga...Im not even black but I had to say that...Good job you just educated a few fucks. Including myself. I think its funny how someone could get a license to carry a fucking firearm, but than someone with throwing knives is like OOOOOH NOOOO fucking throwing knives lock him up throw away the key.

  • @obscenemuse lots of things are illegal in california.

  • @obscenemuse Too bad you're a "Faggot" and like "Cock"

    in your "Butt".

  • @obscenemuse ya if you live in the city

  • i just use screw drivers and knives

  • wow, looks like a prison shank, still works good tho

  • great tut. A couple helpful hints, use a power drill and fix the shuriken in there like a bit to get a perfect round point. And parachute chord instead of twine. I made the mistake of getting 12" instead of 6, lol. Also, fill a coffee can with water, stick the tip of the spike in the fire until it's sunset red, then quench it to get the tip. It'll keep the base softer and harden the tip to give it a real punch.

  • tnx for the information, i learned a lot.i hope you share more a lot of information about martial art weapon thanks!!!

  • This video came in handy. The end product works really well considering what it's made of. Great videos.

  • ur videos out of eveyother throwing wepon tutorial it preety good. and the previous comment wasnt geard mainly at you but at the people out there that lack common sence

  • ii hate thiese videos. everyone thinks that they are making somthing when they wrap some string around a nail or file 2 points onto a section or coat hanger. anyone can do that with common sence and still no one seems to know that senbon arent verry effective as throwing wepons and that u wont automatically become a senbon throwing master because u posses a crappy remake or an ineffective weapon. learn knife throwing from a book or a professional and than get the proper throwing projectile

  • lol have to agree man, ive been throwing knives for years and theyre much more effective as they carry much more weight thrown properly it goes into the target harder than a thrust from the handle

  • btw you could also use paracord for your rapping, it is very cheap and durable. it kinda feels like a thick tubular shoelace in your hand.

  • wow dude, nice video but you need a new sharpening stone, that is gonna fuck up a blade if you sharpen anything with it.

  • yay i have all that i just need bigger nails

  • I don't get why all the hate for you. They work fine, my cousins have been using these on an old dart board for over a decade. I like the twine idea, I never would have thought of using a noose knot! lol, great vid in my opinion :) use what works and what is cheap, great way to do things

  • ok ty

  • what size spikes u need?

    and weight?

  • 6 inch and they are usually about 3-5 ounces depending on their forging.

  • Why don't you just make em the way they used to? That way you can spend ten seconds making them instead of ten minutes or whatever. I can take a roll of quarters and buy what i need to convert it to shuriken but your stuff is super cheap and crappy.

  • How do you make them?

  • I'm sorry, I meant to give a thumbs up, but wasn't paying attention and hit the wrong one.

  • nice

  • what the fuck! haha. all you did was sharpen a nail. hahaha.

  • lololol

  • Haha! i Laughed for like and hour after carterhaines666's comment, it is basically just a sharp(er) Nail.. with a bit of string =D. However! there is a cheeper way of making Bo Shuricken; Get a Chop stick, Throw that chopstick, tell people it was a Bo Shuriken you just launched at their cat =]

  • i wanna make one but i dont have a grinding macheine

  • You can just take a file, you don't need grinding machine (it just go faster)

  • k, thats not much different then the orriginal nail only with string.

  • cool so u no a few ppl who just happen 2 like df that are nerdy, but then again 4 all i no u could ithe be a retarded animal fucker or a "nerdy computer maniac" yourself so dont judge ppl over the internet cause u just happen 2 no a few ppl who r like tht

  • if you make a vid on how to thorw it i will subscibe

  • any1 making a weapon isnt a boy scout

  • Easy to follow, good tutroial 5/5

  • cool

  • I don't see why you people are flaming this vid. It's just a tutorial for making cheap throwing spikes. I wanted to know how to make some.

  • dnt call the man a nerd because its u whos loken up shit like this. u prick , hypocrit!

  • at least he is not looking up pitcures of lttle boys you a-hole

  • wow. how creative. a nail wrapped in string.

  • you whipped the string. you must be a boy scout too.

  • hey england im a 3rd dan black belt in 2 1/2 years from vernon mason world champion kickboxer but excellent job!

  • ...

  • y dont u comment on a kick boxing video

  • is jute twine heavy duty enough to make a bow string with?

  • No, it will definitely not hold up.

  • calm down dudes

sin is trying too show you how to do somthing cool so if you think somthings gunna upset him dont say it,

the videos nice but 1 thing i would say is that you should saw off the end of the spike because when you hold a bo-shuriken ready to throw it gets in the way of your hand formation

btw iv been doing ninjitsu for 9 and a half years (black belt 5th dan) i also have done a little akido and various other martial arts

and i collect and use martial arts weapons so i own all

    :P

  • No, you're a total and COMPLETE nerd.

  • yes we know he is he has the glasses the freakin hair style and the puny muscles

  • if you don't have a grinding wheel at home, what else can u use instead of it? something less "machinery-like"... XD

  • it says in red test I know its hard to read third line it says a grinding wheel file or sharpening stone so the other two option will work also.

  • omg ur shiting urself over somone on youtube theres always gonna be derogatory sayings in youtube you dumbshit if you know what that meens :3 JK

  • I made the nail things but they don't actually stick in to anything.

  • make them really really sharp and then learn how to use them. It takes time and practice so if you don't get it the first time use other techniques.

  • how the hell does he look like napoleon dynamite

  • u look like that napoleon dynamite

  • You look like that guy who's gonna get hit.

  • well ur the dude thats gonna get a beaten from a dude that does kickboxin thats 13

  • Ahahaha,

    Your funny kid.

I'm 15, I've been studying mauy thai kick boxing and shaolin kempo for 18 months. I've seen dozens of kids like you come through the dojo I study at, thinking their tough shit, they never last.

Now go take your testosterone poisoned self away from my youtube page and hope to god that you never say that kind of stuff to my face in person.
