I agree that the rest of his talents weren't up to par with that amazingly powerful serve he's got, but the work he's done to rectify that has clearly gotten results. At the Aussie Open that just finished, he played a MUCH better game - overall - than I've ever see him do before. If he sticks to whatever new training regimen he's on now, I think we could see a brand new Roddick on the courts before too long; one with talented placement, fast feet, AND a monstrous serve.

his serve puts such a large amount of strain on his shoulder that i would not reccomend copying this serve. he doesn't wind up like the traditional "throwing motion" and thus risks dramatic injury to shoulder. but he isn't willing to play it more safe because it is his strongest weapon in his game. to sum it up a 150mph serve is putting a very big risk on the table. if it wasn't every player on the tour would be hitting serves 140-150mph
