  • and now think for what the great Human being has been sent to this world , is it to die while doing these purposeless things, we have a very special cause

  • Song title/artist anyone?

  • holy crap 1:30

  • People slip fall and die I expect that. In this video we see entire camps set up and dug in yet the inhabitants all died that is quite unexpected. Conditions on the mountain must be highly incompatible with life for someone to perish while dug into a camp.

I know the whole top of the mountain is a graveyard, but I often wonder where the highest concentration of those who perished are located, and what is the principle cause of death in these tragedies, is it falling, or just extreme cold?

  • @Zyworski Most people in such altitudes die from Altitude Sickness (which causes Pulmonary or/and Cerebral edema) and Exposure (extreme cold). Other causes are falls and avalanches. When you're at 8000 m above sea level, then you have entered the "Death Zone". The air on this part of the atmosphere is so thin (containing only about 30% of the oxygen that air usually contains when you're on sea level) that it is incompatible with any form of life.

  • @emperorsakis Since so many of these people perished alone we may never know all the causes of death in order to perform a statistical analysis. I suspect that a combination of pulmonary edema and target fixation is what brings many of the down.

I have often wondered if an evacuation strategy could be devised, like S.T.A.R., or a good old fashioned base jump.

  • @Zyworski Since an Everest climber has stepped into the death zone his body is slowly starting to die, and he has less than 48hrs to summit and get back. Climbers spend around 2 months near the mountain for acclimatization just to stay 10 minutes on the top of Everest.

  • Poor buggers :(

  • is it just me but, this song rocks!

  • 3. @Snowdancer100000 Telling someone to "jump off a cliff" is not a good way to promote Christianity, so if you want to prove you are a Christian and not make it seem like all Christians are crazy, please refrain from remarks that verge on intolerant. And please, don't bother insulting me after this post. I honestly don't care what either of you have to say after the immaturity I have seen displayed so blatantly and publicly.

  • I'm sorry to butt in, but 1. this was supposed to be a nice tribute to those who have died in pursuit of something that they love, and some of the more caustic comments have ruined it for me. 2. @Expostaxis there are religious zealots everywhere, not just the middle east, and not all middle easterners are "nutcases." That comment bordered on racist and nativist.

  • @ahabs13 I disagree, if it were truly a tribute then the video would have shown smiling climbers with their families or at least in the act of climbing. Not wind burned corpses holding a yard sale on side of a mountain.

  • Very sad but it is a risk! I wonder what makes one do something like this! I have NO desire to do this but I compliment and pray for the lost souls on Mt Everest..

  • This is such a sad video. I feel sorry for those lost climbers that died. I hope they knew God before they died

  • @Snowdancer100000 which one? allah, zeus , thor, odin, or ... yeah i know which one: YOUR particular deity... all the others are just made up shit right?

  • @Epostaxis Actually my God is Jesus Christ. So if you dont know anything, shut up and go jump off a cliff. Why dont you do us all a favor and leave cuzz im not putting up with you today. And last time i checked, God isnt a deity dumb butt. ive been a Christian for over 14 years now. I should know...unlike you

p.s. DONT make fun of my God.

I know youre jealous but get over it. And I hope you know God my friend. I feel sorry for you if you dont...ill pray for you, but thats all I can do.

  • @Snowdancer100000 typical right wing blind religious zealot, you'lld fit in well in afghanistan with the other nutcases. Telling me to shut up, jump of a cliff , telling me i'm a 'dumb butt' and then in good christian tradition telling me you'll pray for me? HAhaha, rofl! save your breath. and btw: i thought you weren't supposed to lie. i'm sure you haven't said a SINGLE prayer to your deity on my behalf. don't say you have or you'll be lying AGAIN....

  • K2 and Everest are pretty dangerous, but BrokeBack Mountian is BY FAR the deadliest overall.

  • @My1968Impala Are you trolling or are you really that stupid?

  • @16945pie It was a joke, sorry if I offended any gay climbers.

  • @My1968Impala just go away......

  • Respect

  • Rainbow ladder mt everest

  • respect to all of them.. btw.. what's the name of the song?

  • Respect.

  • brave mens!

  • what a nice tribute to all the courageous trail blazers that paid the ultimate price for their passion.

  • The German BND,the renamed 3rd Reich GESTAPO,had organized delegate Scheuermann of our county to visit our home.To allow him to personally see how my brother and our parents were tortured. The BND continued to torture my brother. He was assassinated on July 11th2009.Half a year after the assassination of my brother CDU delegate Mappus from our district town Pforzheim was made prime minister of the German land of Baden Würtemberg. As a result of CDU brutality the green party won the election in 2011

  • @wwwtotalitaerde Wow. You are a nut! Can't you watch ONE video without OBSESSING?

  • @mrstuperstefan Don´t complain. You are lucky enough that your ancestors left for the USA. Many, especially in Germany, are less fortunate. So, if you ever think that you are in need of something special, I recommend to come to Germany and have a close look. Ive seen people from several countries being kicked out of Germany. With dirty tricks as well as by torture. To my knowledge torturing of US citizens to drive them out of "Europe", or Germany was reported in the US media in the mid 1980s.

  • so terribly sad to see these people like this. i hope with all my heart they are at peace now. i have just finished reading a book about this mountain...The Death Zone...and i think i am correct in saying that all who die on Everest remain forever on the mountain as it is too difficult to bring them down. very sad video and i kind of wish i had not viewed it now.

  • @onlyhuman1954 don't think anyone would risk their lives to find a body off everest, unless they had alot of time. You thought everest was bad? nangaparbat, and k2 make this mountain look like a cake walk, even though everest is tough as hell.

  • Todos vamos a morir.

Esta gente al menos cayó mientras hacía lo que amaba.

  • Can someone tell me if the bodies were ever taken off the mountain to the families, or were they just left there?

  • @annieolie1982 Its too difficult to rescue

  • @annieolie1982

Some bodies have been rescued, but there are some 150 - 200 bodies still left there :(

  • Вечная память погибшим!!!

  • GOD BLESS YOU ALL THAT HAVE DIED ON THAT MOUNTAIN

  • Líto, ale každý jdeme do toho svého. Ta muzika - špica. kdo tp zpívá /hraje/ slovům jakžtakž rotumím., učil jsem se rusky, ale je to moc hezké.

  • 1:35 Darth Vader. R.I.P.

  • May you all Rest In Peace.

  • why brave people? brave is someone who puts his/hers life in risk to save someone else life, not someone who wanted to have fun put his/her life in risk , did not care about people who loves them, and died in a dumb way just to "have fun" or to "do something different" or to look brave ..in front of others...is so stupid...they did not appreciate life, they did not take care of their own life that is a gift, and I know...they live to the fullest...not reason to be sad at all!

  • @Harley6040 Someone has to keep the gene pool sharp and push the envelope of human achievement. All you pathetic couch sitters are causing devolution.

  • @gt40f hey cmon im proud of my couch sitting

  • @gt40f It is possible to be adventurous and not have a death wish. I believe that those who have perished on Everest would be disappointed at your attitude towards those who choose not to take the risks that they do. You obviously don't know anything about the true spirit of those who take on challenges like these. And how does a comment out of ignorance about those who have died on Everest spark your attack on those who haven't. You might get yourself check. Re-evaluate what is pathetic.

  • @gt40f And it is De-evolution not devolution.

  • @Harley6040

Sure, these people did it for the thrill, they did it to be one of the ones who attempted the mountain, but they are brave. Brave because the knew of the risks, brave because most people wouldn't attempt it, heck I wouldn't. I'd like to see people like you attempt this. Alas, "they did not appreciate life" of course they did. If they didn't they would've killed them selves many moons ago. Have some respect.

  • @BOT101st Thinning the herd

  • вечная память!! людям идущим до конца к своей цели, и вершине!!! .. p.s ... их около двухсот человек у подножья горы

  • これは何の曲ですか?

    What music is this?

  • @630RAIDEN Братья Грим - Вернись :) hi from spain

  • oh wow i commented alot guess thats what happens when you read all of the comments

  • i was eating a pulled pork sammich when i saw the 1:27 to :135 photos and i puked all over my desk ):

  • fucking sick

  • George Mallory's body can be seen at 0:32...

  • 0:29 WHAT THE FUCKING HELL!?!?

  • @GolfPlayer96 the force of the wind can blow chips of ice and rock wich can um skin a body basically

  • was his back all bone?

  • @supermad50 who? what part of the video?

  • @petejones216 yeah, your right about the 1:27 and 1:35 photos, but I found the monument to the lenin peak avalanche in another video with the photos of the victims photos on it, and some of them look familiar, but deff. not all of them. Either way. This is a very good video with a very haunting song and images. If anyone knows the name of this song...I would love to know it. May those brave men and women rest peacefully in the fact that they were brave enough to die for their passion.

  • 1:27 to 1:35 are some of the most shocking i have seen. Notice the camera with the film removed by the climbers body at 1:27 Each picture makes me wonder exactly the circumstances of their demise. Hope they are all some were much more peaceful now.

  • @petejones216 Actually the ones between 1:27 and 1:35 are not from Everest. They're from the Lenin Peak Avalanche in 1990. I'm fairly sure the black and white photographs are of those who were killed in that incident, though there is very little information from what I can find on Google.

  • @102michael I see, thanks for the information. Tragic all the same.

  • @102michael i had no idea an avalanche could mangle a body like that

  • @petejones216 YES THEY'RE AT THE DEATH ZONE.

  • it is sick how so man people dies climbing it, yet so many people attampts to climb it.... it just doesnt make sense

  • @MAmoviesRS I believe that the deaths as terribly sad an tragic as they are almost add to the need for people to conquer it. Its facing down death. Just so sad that those poor souls cant be taken home to their families huh.

  • is there any english version of this song?

  • a tip to prevent coldnes.. when you are cold.. just run or jog..so you will goin to perspration.... and will feel hot..

  • I find this video very difficult to masturbate to.....

  • may they rest in peace.

  • Половина кадров - погибшие летом 1990 года в Киргизии (накрыло альплагерь).

  • We have a Bulgarian thats still up there Hristo Prodanov

    Sleep in peace Hristo :(

  • Huh...those are horrible pictures. Why can no one bring those poor people down and give them a proper burial? At least those in the lower regions of the mountain...

  • @janmethner This is because most of these climbers wanted their bodies to be left alone, they died doing what they loved and they would want to be preserved that way

  • @Rihn000 no it is actually more because they can not be moved because it is so hard to manoeuvre a body down the mountain as they are very heavy

  • When you fall 10,000 feet weirdo your body is gonna be pretty broke up..... especially when you land on a bunch of rocks

  • @aluminartist1 it was an avalanche but yeah some fell due to avalanche

  • At 0:25 where you can see the climber wearing lime Koflach boots, many famous climbers would pass this body and over radio in bad weather, they would name this man ''green boots'' as a meeting place or emergency point. It is still used today, respectively. His name was Tsewang Paljor, an Indian climber from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police.

  • omg 0:28

  • how come some of the bodies are so mangled?

  • @louistheonion23

Because they didn't die on everest. some of this is else where or fake.

  • @daggyz1959 not fake its from other mountains and the mangled ones were in an avalanche

  • @louistheonion23 avalanche

  • Mount Everest, highest Mountain in the world as well highest garbage dump.

  • Its an honarable death.

  • their fault for dying

  • rest in peace

  • the wickness will always loose.

  • @KutasusWielgus Wow that was some terrible grammar.

  • @Imbabrox hahaha so how should i write it?

  • @KutasusWielgus Well, I don't know what the hell wickness means. Also, "loose", is spelled lose in that sentence.

  • r i p

  • thanks for putting the video together.

  • Respect from Pakistan... but u didnt do justice alot more people have died... what abt their pictures...

  • @raaak1990 some pictures cant be found

  • R.I.P.

  • Everest is littered with dead people....oh well ,

  • @michiyo1986 everest is nothing compared to the savage mountain... its th hardest moutain to climb in the world n the most deadliest... go search abt it.

  • The human spirit to quest and do what so few have ever done, lives on in the hopes, dreams, summits and even the deaths of those who have tried. I don't understand the need to push pass the extreme to the top of the world, but my abolute respect to those who do and my sympathy to the loved ones of those that died there.

  • R.I.P.from Germany and Big Respect for all this people...

  • Comment removed

  • Amazing that you got all those pics and I still can't believe all those people died while climbing Mt. Everest.

  • @Denotebenihime not all some were on Lenin peak

  • The question is not whats the name of the song but the name of those brave people

  • @shitface9696 good on ya mate :)

  • The question is not what's the name of those brave people but why almost all where there so young and unprepared.

  • @bluesfun Possibly over 30 years ago when many didnt know what to expect and only young were healthy enough to attempt it.

  • @IAmLedsterOo

sadly its not true. most of them were there from 10/15 years (maximum). give look at the equipment... (except mallory, and just a bunch of others)

  • @shitface9696

Where is the bravery in that?!

  • @mutlipass : To die for what you want to do.....in other words....its to die for nothing or it to die for everything...in fact I wont be able to make you understand. If one is asking this question then that person is not ready to accept the answer :)

  • Братья Грим - Вернись Ok Thanks

  • what´

s the name of the song ? please

  • what´

s the name of the song ?

  • Братья Грим - Вернись

  • @AstroWaldo its an interesting documentary, quite scary to think that he died in 1924 and still is on the mountain

  • 0:33

That's George Mallory's corpse. There's a documentry about a group of mountain climbers who found the corpse and realize it was George Mallorys when they found a tag claiming his name on it on his jacket.

You can tell the climbing outfit is outdated, the jacket is leather which is rare for modern mountain climbers. The corpse has no gloves which is extremly rare for any Mount Everest climber, and rope is obviously not modern rock climbing rope.

  • How many brave souls have died to date?

  • @billymyster73 Around 220, but only 200 corpses remain on Mt. Everest.

  • @Joshisourfriend less can be seen because they are dropped/fell into a crevice (when dropped its a glacial burial)

  • Some of these bodies are torn to shreds...i take its from falling down one of the razor sharp cliff faces?

  • @ReconStatus there are many ways to die in these altitudes, but the traumatic destruction of the corpses you see in this video are most likely the outcome of an other drama. In many cases there is no way to recover a dead person in these altitudes in time. The bodies remain up there and soon get "swallowed" by the ice, slowly traveling down the mountain inside the glaciers, getting crushed. These last journeys can last several years until they surface again, normally in spring during the thaw.rip

  • @kunstsein ahhh that makes sense

  • 34 sec George mallory 1924 his goggles were found in his pocket suggesting that he fell on the descent making him possibly the first man to ascend everest his partners body Andrew Irvine has never been found however it is believed that mallory fell first as his rope looked snapped from strain meaning that his partner may have died later on the mountain after watching his partner fall. RIP

  • @AndyH0024 yeah that was a good documentary, just finished watching it on iplayer.

  • One of the bodies is George Mallory , R.I.P

  • @pattheliar I know its sad

  • We shoud all pray for them...

  • Respect for those climbers!

  • Вечная память! Эта та дорогая плата за те ощущения, те чувства, когда ты идешь, когда ты доходишь до вершины!

  • those are a bunch of russians who died on lenin peak not everest.

  • @DocHolliday1879 Those definitely are Everest bodies. "Green Boots" (as he is known) at :23, for example, is one of the most famous bodies on Everest.

  • @DitDitDah the end pics are lenin peak

  • Вечная память альпинистам!

  • Песня хорошая. Но автор насовал туда все фотки погибших в лавине 1990 года на Победе....все останки ,кассета с фотиком тоже оттуда и только пять-шесть тел (целых) это Эверест.

  • gross

  • They died doing what they loved and knew the risk...they are to be admired

Они умерли делать то, что они любили и зная риска ... они для подражания
