Max was a man who gave to others. He knew how to meet needs. He gave me courage and confidence to go forward with my own visions. I called him my friend, and I'm sorry that we drifted apart. I'm proud to be in the background of one of these pictures. God Speed, old friend.
I mean this with all sincerity. But me and my partner watched Southern Comfort tonight. I told him here were a group of people who would understand what we've been through. I had a glimmer of hope that maybe one day we would meet some of the cast members since they were so close by. Again, I am deeply saddened Max had to go through all of this. No one deserves the 'c' word. NO ONE, especially folks who already are fighting for their rights!

Beautifully done, Monica!! I can hardly see my keyboard threw the tears, even tho I hardly knew him. It was also great to see him in the early years. He was so handsome then. Also it was great to see a picture I took. Thanks for seeing what I saw in it.
