LOOK AT EVERYBODY, in the morning when they go to work week after week, even if they are self employed, they look miserable, yet they continue to do this till retirement, hell even some keep on going till they are dead at the age of 90 something, FAR OUT!!!!! WE ARE SO SLAVES, I mean working an extra 2 hours everyday this week just to pay the bills IS HELL. By the time I am retired, the retirement age will probably be 70 or 75, I may as well keel over and die at that age!!!

You say CV is 'burying' his ideas but I think he's just expressing these ideas in his own way. They're not really his ideas anyway (I'm sure he would agree) but the way he expresses them IS unique to him (and in that sense appropriate and right).
I think you are stuck thinking in terms of a 'single manifesto' (like a government!) but any real solution must be multi faceted.
Maybe you need to find your OWN facet? Maybe we all do! :)

Maybe the fact you think this vid has anything to do legitimate (or any other kind of) 'protest' is why you find it so disappointing.
Isn't the message here that it's OK to be awake, aware, active and vocal in ordinary day to day life and friendly daily interaction?
Hasn't offloading our personal responsibility (and joy!) to be awake, aware and active in the moment to personality cults, political parties, protests groups etc been at the root of every failed bid for freedom in history?

You've definitely hit the nail of the head. The challenge is to invent a new 'cultural frame of reference' and language of spiritual, political, energetic and lifestyle freedom (you know what I mean) which is neither 60's hippie crap or new age crap ...... and then stopping it from being immediately subverted by the establishment (like the 60's political, philosophical and cultural awakening was).
If you can do that then you might be able to save the world.

If someone really is offended/ threatened by a bunch of absurdist hippy/ loonies hugging on the street then that says more about them than it does about Charlie and co. Especially if they do NOT feel offended or threatened by TV 'news' and by corporate advertising (crime, terror, greed etc)
