hahaha, i did somethin similar while i was in israel. i was there with a military tourism company and we had some extra rounds at the end of the day, just pulled out some scrap metal and took shots at it. it was a really cool trip, id highly suggest checking it out. lionops.com
Well, the next time I;'m being chased by a roam band of uninstalled engines, then this is my ammo of choice... however, If I'm believing that these rounds can penetrate multiple layers of steel, belts, the radiator and then penetrate a running engine block sufficient to STOP the vehicle I'll likely just aim at the drivers chest.
To be accurate, one should do this test with the engine in the vehicle running. That way the slug could deform by striking a fender, grill, or radiator before hitting the block. That would be a better test.
@dreyfusduke yeah no doubt. I dont know of any rifel except a .22 rimfire that couldnt penetrade an engine block. Engines are only thin cast iron. The real test is what will penetrate after going through what you stated
@dreyfusduke it would do the same damage. a 22 will shoot right through a radiator, its like paper for a slug and a slug can go through a car door out the other side of the car and still kill so im sure a fender would be nothin.
This is engine for VAZ-2103 - old russian car. It builded in the 70-s. Old crap.

Correction: That's not an "engine block," it's pot-metal clown-car motor.
