After listening to this band for over six years now I was totally wrong I always liked them, but hated who they are and all that stuff and how magazine's said they were the greatest thing around, but I admit I was wrong this band is awesome, but I feel there are others just as good if not maybe better. People need to appreciate the music they have from their era enjoy this hsit so you can look back on it and smile. I hate arcade fire as people, but they are fucking awesome.

Personally, I think Arcade Fire deserves all the recognition and awards they can get. I have never heard of another band that sounds remotely close to the intricately woven music style that is Arcade Fire. You can hear all sorts of different styles and influences throughout their music and yet, Arcade Fire still manages to make it sound new and original. From their implementation of kickass instruments such as the harpsichord to Win Butler's voice, this band is unique in their own right. Arcade

I've done something similar to that. Instead of a black guy, it was some wannabe white guy driving a Buick with speakers that blasted some trash that I can only describe as generic hip-hop (i'm a fan of hip hop, just saying) but this was commercial or manufactured rap or what ever it really was. I rolled up next to him and let the music play. You should of seen his close minded reaction to it. I was laughing my ASS off.

The Killers are extremely overrated IMO, every single one of their LP's are average at best, they're one of those OK bands.

But AF, they're right up there with Radiohead. Not even a decade active and already have an amazing rock legacy.

I wanted a good pair of pants and it was 14 dollars, when I used be able to get some for half of that. I'll tell you this...Arcade Fire is my favorite band. Then, I'll say this. I thought Eminem deserved to win best album just because it was one of the only mainstream rap albums that actually had feeling in it in the last 5 years. But that doesn't mean I wasn't extremely happy when The Suburbs was slowly and shockingly stated by Barbara Streisand.

They 100% deserved to win the Grammy. They were the only ones nominated who make ACTUAL music. I can't even begin to put into words how amazed and proud of them I am for their accomplishment. I've been a fan since Funeral and it's great to see them FINALLY, after 7 years, to get the recognition they deserve. Way to go Arcade Fire, you guys really stepped it up and showed the world that good music can beat out that Eminem/Gaga/Perry/Antebellum bullshit. I respect you a million times more now!

Number 2 : Why get bogged down in what genre this is when simply 'this is a great piece of music' would more than suffice.
