You really see in this just how bad things were going, UED and Terran Dominion troops working together, 2 sworn enamys together trying to fight off the Zerg. And The Protoss were along side them as well. And they all lost. Not even the 3 armys working together could win.
Why the hell did they change Kerrigan's voice??? Tricia Helfer is hot but her voice sucks throbbing cock compared to Kerrigan's old one. (The one in this video.)
@AvinGE28 i agree.. i want old voice so much... her voice was unique to kerrigan.. now tricia helfer's voice is kerrigan's voice.. i like it , but still i miss old voice
@Gerome63120m3 The Terrans in Starcraft are exiled humans from earth. Something to do with overpopulation, so they rounded up all the criminals, hackers, cybernetically enhanced, etc. onto a ship and sent them into Koprulu sector. The UED was secretly watching them the whole time and when aliens were discovered, they sent the expeditionary fleet to take care the problem.
Blizzard has made the best RTS ever, i don't care if graphics are better StarCraft and StarCraft: Brood War were the best things i've ever played. The stories are flawless and perfect, and led perfect cliffhangers. StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty was the hardest thing a SC player would deal with, if it sucked then it would've ended up like CnC4. But it wasn't it was another epic part of the saga of the Koprulu Sector, once again Blizzard inspires Sci-Fi like Tolkien inspires fantasy.
The news of their defeat never reached the Earth and neither did DuGalle's letter to his wife. It was a moment of peace for him before he committed suicide.
the marine in the bunker was like... ya ya ya shooting ya!, damn stimpack! a infested guy is coming directly but i dont care and i shoot to the fog!...
@StarCraftGameplays If the UED Fleet was allowed to reach full strength again, who knows what they would have done in Starcraft 2. For all we know, they would have built their own Psi-Disruptor and this time had it heavily guarded, making it near to impossible for the Zerg to be freed from UED control.
if so: these are pre-rendered sequences, meaning several machines calculated lighting and textures and everything you see frame by frame. this process used to be very expensive and took a long time to complete. the ingame engine has to calculate everything in real time so you can interact with it.
computers couldnt handle the quality of pre-rendered sequences in real time, this remains true as the quality of such sequences still improves. cheers :)
@WARMAKER1814 Looks up "Echoes of War No Matter the Cost" on youtube. Its got that song in there, but orchestrated. Idk what the song itself is though.
DuGalle died like he lived. He was old fashioned. He betrayed his best friend and compromised earth's safety. He could not live in disgrace, and like so many leaders before chose to take his life.
I'm not saying that's a good thing, I'm just trying to clarify why he did. It's really not so much a mystery. I find that scene very moving. I am always sad that his beloved had to live wondering. On the other hand I'm glad she never knew about his failure as a leader and friend.
You know what is the weird part about this ending? The ending text says Earth never knew what happend to Dugalle and his fleet. Then howcome Earth knew what was going in the Terran sector in the first place? At the Terran start it says u came directly from Earth.
Earth can monitor whats going on in a distant galaxy, watch and wait and decide to send a galactic battle force, but they to dumb to know what happens to their entire fleet? The only quirk in the storyline. Great game by the way!
Dugalle's expeditionary force probably went father than what Earth could monitor, and so Earth was probably kept updated through reports sent from the force.
after the Dugalle's force was destroyed they stopped sending reports, thus no one knows what happened to them.
Earth can monitor whats happening thousands of lightyears away, but their sensory border just lies at the closest to Earth planet of the Terran sector? That would be a little bit to farfetched. Besides if this was true, Dugalle should still be inside Earth monitors, since he was already back on his way to Earth at max speed running from Kerrigans forces.
The closest star from Earth is (i think) at 4 or 6 light years. This means that if we sent an army there, we would be able to see it from earth 4 or 6 years later..... So if that Kuprulu Sector is far (which i think it is), you wouldn't be able to see your army by looking at a telescope from Earth.
That's so unfair. I mean, the UED should have been far more powerful than that. It's their fault originally that they pushed to far to reach other colonies that were not helpful to the cause of Earth. And why did that man kill himself? He still had a standing chance to at least return to the Earth and defend it. What a stuck-up Admiral. If I were him, I would have returned to Earth's inner colonies and defended it from there and die gloriously, rather than in my own hands.
they all died, none of them made it back to earth which is where they were heading. the Admiral killed himself in disgrace. Doesn't matter since none of them ever made it home, read the text at the end of the video.
Maybe If he reacted faster he could made it. But it is still better run while you can rather than surrender maybe Kerrigan would let him live. He wouldn't be a threatoutside of Korpulu sector.
You are right. And I would have another reason for that. For Helena and "my" children. If he loved them so much he should keep their father alive as long as possible.
what ever happend to raynor? how come he didn't help out the protoss? how come he didn't get his chance to avenge fenix's death? i suppose thats up to sc2 to decide
a bajillion scourges that kamikaze themselves, of course. In SC1 vanilla, a small group of scourges (or was it jus 1) took down General Duke's battlecruiser
Well realistically speaking, outside of the confines of what you can do inside the game itself, couldn't a battle cruiser FLY faster than the scourges? I mean come on, it's a huge ass ship. Secondly, one small thing like that could be easily taken down, and last I saw, battle cruisers had many many turrets on all its sides. Plus, something that small probably couldn't harm a ship of that magnitude. (realistically speaking of course).
realistilicty speaking battle cruisers need to be maintained and gas'd constantly, these scourges only have to use their wings, devourers and mutalisks aiding the scourges could easily take down some cruise ships
Well they seem to be running fine, besides, I'm pretty sure the turrets on a battle cruiser have more range than something organically produced by a creature. And look how many of those cruisers there are, each of them have PLENTY of turrets and I'm pretty sure they could see those zerg coming from miles away. You should watch the new trailer for SC2 where Raynor's ship is fighting off some of the Zerg.
zerg... Terran and Protoss lose, especially the protoss bacause they got their homeworld destroyed. The Dominion is still there, but the UED just got owned.
@SouthernRiprey well considering that the UED came with maybe 1 or 2 battlecruisers a few wraiths and valkeries and as Chris Metzen put it the UED got most of their forces locally specifically the shipyards you capture then I should hope that wasnt all they had. Zerg or Protoss before the zerg hit them could still easily destroy it though.
arcurus got away with more than he should have, the ued lost everything, the protoss on aiur were too stuck-up and proud which made them lose because they weren't paying attention and eventually required their planet to be blown up, and the protoss on shakuras just humiliated themselves in front of their entire race because kerigan was basically just bored. so the zerg didn't exactly win but kerigan did, SOME terrans didn't lose or win, and the protoss lost everything except some lives
SC2 compared to this is infantile and cliché ridden. This is mature plot, and storytelling.

Terran are more like galaxy exploration and Military for the Earth.
But the Terran got in the midden of Zerg

Zerg are like Bacteria they makaing more and take over planets.
Terran have no idea what going on.
But in the Broodwar the UED is trying to save Earth from the Zerg. but now i don't know what happen the Eath and Terran.
